Jimmy's insights on Faith and Family are a great way to start your day as a Daily Devotional for men or a daily devotional for women too. Jimmy admits his faults and misgivings and helps you learn how to be a better Christian drawing experience from his own mistakes. Jimmy makes understanding Christian values so easy that it makes Catch of the Day a great Daily Devotional for Youth as well.
Jimmy has been a long time member of the Fellowship of Christian Anglers Society(FOCAS), and is a strong believer in power of fishing as a tool to become, in Christ's words, Fishers of Men. As more and more people turn away from traditional, organized religion, it's time Christians embrace Jesus's message of love and kindness to reach others for Christ with a servants heart, and be a living witness for Jesus. With over 50 years as a professional angler, and over 40 years on television with his show Jimmy Houston Outdoors, he has used his public platform to reach others for Christ. Jimmy Houston credits his years of success to his faithful walk with Christ and Devotion to the lord. He admits he struggles but works everyday to live for Jesus and become a better ambassador for Christ's love.

Knocking like a normal knock. You picture an amazing all powerful and knowing God who holds everything in his hands. No pun intended. And yet it’s like a dog who longs and yearns for interaction and company. The gentleness and unconditional love is unfathomable. But it’s for everyone. And the hope for those who haven’t answered that they will while they can. Jesus is coming back and he is the only way. Good message from Jimmy today. The Great Promise given by Jesus way before He actually came, setting up the simplicity of Salvation as we know it now. Jesus has always wanted Salvation to be easy and free, so easy that even a child could understand It and be Saved. Simply realize or recognize the fact that you are a sinner and have no hope except thru Jesus, Repent and Believe upon the Death, Burial and Resurrection of Jesus to become your Risen Savior. No cost to us, the payment has been paid in full by the Perfect Sacrifice, The Lamb Of God, The Great Redeemer. No hoops to jump thru, nothing that we can do of ourselves other than to let Him in our hearts and believe. Yes, a child can understand this and be saved, so, so can an adult. Yes, you are not good enough as you are, but no one is except that the Blood of the Lamb of God (Jesus) be applied. His mercy and forgiveness is so great that your sins will be forgiven and forgotten, wiped clean by His Grace. The only unforgiveable sin is the sin of rejecting Jesus. So, we have no excuses. So Shine on Brother, for He made it all so very simple and easy to be Saved

@@DDL2728 Yes, my left eye, the normally bad one, was ok and no shot but my good eye was leaking fluid behind the retina and needed a shot. My right eye is the one that I see to drive with and a shot would make it impossible to drive 4 hours cack home. Betty falls to sleep driving ( waiting on her CPAP to be ordered). So I got the doctor to wait 2 weeks so that I could get a driver to get me home. My brother is in from Florida so he will take me. Already have volunteers from church for future visits, God is so kind and merciful. And thank you Sis, I pray that your pain has lessen and that rehab goes well.
@jerrycox2058 I'm thankful your left eye was ok, & I'll be praying about your right eye. I'm so glad the doctor agreed to wait on the shot so you could drive home!! God's grace is sufficient, & He's sending your brother & friends to help you!! God is so awesome! I'll be praying. Thank you for your prayers for us. The pain is much less - just dealing with swollen knees & stiffness in them. God will heal them!! Love y'all. ♥️🙏♥️

As some of you know, my only child, my Lisa, died a year ago and I have not seen my 2 grandchildren since then.They have been staying with their other grandmother.
