PC-9821 Valuestar V200 : Taking a look + Quake running on real hardware

  • I finally got my new PC-9821 model : the Valuestar V200 !
    Unlike the Xe10, this has 64MB of RAM and a Pentium MMX, which is enough to run Quake on this. Tho i should mention i can't actually play my port of Quake on this right now because my keyboard isn't really working properly....

    You can slap in a 4MB 3DFX PCI or 24mb Voodoo 2 SLI card installed

      Yes you can do that and that would be really cool, albeit only useful for Windows only stuff. I believe you can also mod some Geforce cards to work on Windows 2000 PC-98. I'm mostly interested in the DOS side of things (besides maybe using Windows over ethernet for SMB but my PC doesn't have an ethernet card installed)
