Still haven't put in the effort to listen to Travis Scott but I own multiple of his sneakers. It's good people venture in to different things to out there creativity. ❤

I didnt like Ye at all for many years. He was on a big ego trip and he often said crazy things for attention. Its a little bias on my part considering I stop listening to rap in the late 90's. It wasn't till about 6 years ago that I started to be more open minded in music and started to listen to everything. My friend's begged me to listen to Kanye even though I still thought a lot of his music wasn't good. They told me start with Graduation and we will go from there..... they were right. As far as his shoes go, it was a bit of a slow burn for me but, eventually the Yeezy brand grew on me pretty thick. Comfort is amazing and the style was really coming together. Now I have over 50 pairs of Yeezys. Ye is definitely a unique individual and he always finds a way. I wouldn't say that he is on his Fall from Grace. Rather I would say this is just his next chapter.

I think ye and sneakers is done with, he may come back with some sneakers (assuming he continues his no large company M.O.), and they’ll flop. They’ll be too high of retail since he no longer has the cheap labor driven infrastructure he previously had with Nike and Adidas. Plus, his design choices honestly sucked. The Yeezy Desert boot is alright, the knit RNR boot is ugly, NSLTD is horrendous, foam runners weren’t everyone’s favorite, and slides are just slides…. The only way I see Ye coming back strong in the sneaker game if he joins New Balance. Which would go against he whole philosophy in regards to large corporations and him being the one in charge of everything
9 years ago Adidas was rock bottom in the US until they signed Ye a year later from NIKE, he was probably the first non athlete to get a deal that include royalties . NIKE limited his creativity and realised they made a mistake so they took his man Virgil and Don C. Kanye has since changed the design language of an Adidas shoe (look at adilette lol), created the most valuable silhouette in Adidas history, brought hype to Adidas (I could go on). The fact that one man can make major companies like Adidas almost 1b a year off Yeezy and bring Adidas to the forefront in American market from 2014 is something thats unheard. His name Yeezy itself is a money machine, adidas sold half a billion off one drop this year and could pass 1b from august drops. That in itself will never fall off. Anyone who followed Kanye prior social media knows he's very unconventional with style and smart with marketing. Him being anti shoe is a marketing campaign for the next era. That Adidas partnership is over for sure, end of another great area. Side note great video.
