Nice video and I love the train set. I priced a L.I.R.R. Metro Liner set at Train World/Land in Long Island. It was $450. When I move, I'm gonna' pick it up. I like your set-up. Does that Disney Tram work/run? That's one of my fave' things to do when I go to disney.

damn i want a lionel acela. but they are expensive as hell. the cheapest one i seen was 649 bucks. Oh well gotta settle for H.O. amtrack acela. Im getting mine from amazon on april 17th
if you want to make the tower commands you have to have a cab-1 controller...lionel makes it and also a command controll base it cost me about 150.00 for all of the stuff....the train cost 2000 dollars to get...you can buy it on ebay
When I saw it in the catalog a few years ago, it was over $2000. Then they discontinued it (I wonder why). You can probably find it somewhere on internet.
Lionel had so many issues with this set it wasn't worth the money. Lionel is shit nowadays. I have better things to do with my money than waste it on Lionel crap. Don't buy this set.
yeah, i noticed the same thing..i am new to railroading..on amazon, i do not see a high reviews on any of the sets..after paying that kind of money, what's up with that?
I had this set. The panto-graphs were faulty, the door motors gave me nothing but trouble, and after three service repairs from Lionel, they still couldn't get the damn "tilt" feature to work right on a curve.. To expensive for a set that never worked right. I sold it, and gave up the hobby.. To much junk nowadays made in China. :( Not to mention the issue with the coupler's having to be just right.. However, when it does work, it's a nice set.

nope they have no sound and yes they have lights that work just as well as the Lionel acela

It was cancelled. If it's not on the website check your train store. A lot of trains Lionel cancelled.
