Here is my cover of The Surfrajettes version of the Britney Spears song Toxic! I'm playing a 2014 Classic Player Fender Jazzmaster through Logic Pro amp modeling. I make all backing tracks myself. This one will be available soon.

Clean guitar with reverb, that surf rock tone is in a lot of his movies.

Surfrajettes created such an addictive groove in their rendition that you capture perfectly. I find the surf version far more engaging and satisfying than the original Britney.

I was working on this last September, & got everything but the last verse. I kept thinking, Damn, if only Tom Conlon would make a cover/tab version of this. So instead, I drew Surfrajettes/Beatles: She Loves You on four 8.5 x 11 sheets, using my elaborate process, learned it, & blew my guitar teacher's skull off. 1997 Fender Strat California Edition HSS, Position 4 (Middle + Neck), Line 6 Amp w/reverb on 10.
This is my next project. Thank you, Mr. Conlon. I turned my teacher on to your channel, & he loves it. He used it to learn the She Loves You rhythm chords, & backed me on an acoustic. Neither of us can believe how great that sounds.

Everyone has their guilty pleasure songs and ive found if you do them on guitar then it makes it much less dorky. Lol. Ive always wanted to do Toxic on guitar but also Girls Just Want To Have Fun. I already did the vocal melody by ear.
Girl Just Want to Have Fun is a fantastic song. I love Cyndi Lauper! I may have to try that one out! Also All Through Night is one of my favorites.

Excellent! Another good lesson would be 'Hurricane' that the Surfrajettes also play very well (see the live video performance uploaded by Bart M). The song was originally recorded by Conrad and The Hurricane Strings in 1963.

Two things: I second the suggestion to do a version of "Surf Rider." And also, what reverb unit do you use?
Surf Rider is on my channel. The reverb is from Logic Pro’s amp designer.
@@tomcon21 Thank you. I must have missed that. I"ve never used Logic Pro or related audio gear. I just use pedals (such as my EHX Oceans 11) and would like one day to be able to afford a Fender reverb tank.

Wow, just wow that sounds to 100% like the original! How are you did that? By ear or tabs? I try to find accurate tabs for the bass if you learn this by tab, maybe there were some for bass too?

No...this is not how the Surfrajettes play it. There's a lot of missing notes. You should listen to their track some more, especially the lead at 3:08.

how do you have your strat trem arm set up? ive only ever used the 70s evh method but string bends make it go out almost immediately. im not crazy about the feel of floating either, i dont like having to hold my arm on the bridge every time i bend 2 notes in unison. you seem to have struck a good balance, looks like its pretty close to the body of the git?

Hi! I was thinking of buying your backing track for this song and I want to know if there is a metronome track in the song, especially in the beginning.
I think there is a click at the beginning and then good size spaces where you play the lead before the other guitar plays the responding lick. And then there’s a click to bring you in for the pickup before the full band comes in.
