the A3 and A5 versions also fly
pure origami - no scissors no rips no tape no glue (square paper)
there are no guessed folds - every new fold is determined by previous folds, points, lines or edges
keep in mind that folding is only one third of the whole process, trimming and throwing must also be mastered
factors such as humidity have a major influence on the flyability of my bionic models
all my models are airworthy
remember to recycle paper
laser printed sheets work well
ask friends and family for paper no longer needed
don´t worry if you have two holes in your paper like me, they won´t be visible at the end

• aesthetic
• difficult (for an average plane folder, not for an origamist)
• flies very well if folded well
really pay attention to fold accurate, it is comparatively
error-prone
• fold every move exact as its shown in the video, do not fold
mirrored
• be patient with yourself, this isn´t an plane/bird you fold just
once and master it right off
• for experts, A5 is fun - flies also very well
• (maybe you should master my other two models first)

I have. Stop motion style tutorial had me septical, but I did not have to give up half way through, like with some koi tuts. -having wasted time and effort.
I have folded it a few times. Bug and small. The kids living in my complex do enjoy them alot. And have been hogging me to make more. I have to beat them off with a stick.

I like it! I like your stop motion style of tutorial. It seems like that would take a longer to edit and I don't think that it would be easier to follow, but it's definitely different than any tutorials I've seen before. I also like that you are designing your own models and being creative. And the flapping plane that looks like a falcon is pretty darn cool and different too. Wat should I do to stop the bird from going down quickly
depends when it goes down...if it does immediately after it leaves your hand then youre holding it wrong or/and throwing it to hard. if it makes one big flap and then goes down you should make sure that the middlemost crease ("the belly of the bird") isnt creased to tightly. that crease should have some tension left and strive for opening itself. so that you feel a little resistance between your fingers when holding it in throwing position. also make sure to not squeeze the fuselage fully to an I-form in cross-section. make sure in remains a V when throwing it. here too, not throwing it too hard and holding it correctly is important.
if it just doesnt fly far, you should maybe increase your folding precision
I had to pause the tutorial a few times, but mine flew! I also made it with 8.5 x 11 paper and it had a forked tail.

thank you :) after a couple hundred pieces they start flying more consistently.. but it still happens to me that i get frustrated. but keep folding and you will learn more and more on which steps you have to pay attention. good luck:)
