it was definitely reach of the year so far lol. The equivalent to what he said was that skydivers are faster than Usain Bolt lol. But I ain't mad, atleast we got a video out of it lol
As a child, and growing up, the Peregrine Falcon was always my favorite. My local library had a collection of stuffed birds of prey, and I was always drawn to that falcon. I have only once had the opportunity to hold one at a bird show, and it was amazing!
My son and I loved this! He says, "Man, falcons are fast, but they don't look fast!" His favorite part was when Coyote jumped out of the plane. So cool! :)
To be fair, the position they were falling in is about the slowest possible. A single skydiver in a head down streamline position (like the falcon) can actually reach similar speeds as the falcon does. But the falcon can climb back up on his own!
I really like the variety that's going on now. While it's fun to see you take stings and bites, it isn't the end-all-be-all and I love to see more about other beautiful animals in our world.
Dear Coyote, you're so extremely brave and wild. My daughter 8 y.o. is a big fan of your channel, great thanks for your brilliant work! Wishing you to reach 300 million followers, you certainly deserve that. Take care of yourself and good luck )
Imagine being paid to dress up as a giant mouse, and have your boss tackle you and play with puppets with your boss, that was really funny. That said this was also very educational and cool Coyote. I've always wanted to go skydiving
The edit on this video was incredible, it came out so well! Falcons are some of the most impressive birds in the world to me, you definitely did them proud.
And, Coyote did an incredibly good job lure flying the bird too. I was the one that taught him how to do it and not only is he an incredibly nice guy, but he’s a quick learner as well!
@@ohioschooloffalconry8599 Indeed! I was honored to actually have been on this shoot, I was one of the interns working that day and it was a real privilege to see your birds in person!
surprised they didn't mention the falcon's tomial tooth to aid the catching of prey, since their claws are actually very small compared to most eagles, hawks and some owls like the great horned owl.
Theres a bridge over the hudson river in new york near where i live and once while walking over it, i stumbled upon a peregrine falcon sitting on an electrical box just on the other side of the railing, not 5 feet away! There's nothing to explain the intelligence that you can feel when a bird like this watches you. Although from recordings and images and even from the ground, they look rather small, when you stand near one like i was lucky enough to do and those bright yellow eyes are looking you up and down to decide if youre a threat, it makes sense why this is one of the most lethal preditors in the world
Fun fact: hollow bones in birds do not weight less than they would if they were full but they're hollow to store oxygen so they can fly for longer. If you want to you can think about it like their bones are more similar to oxygen tanks rather than a way to be lighter because it has to be compensated in thickness so they don't snap from the sheer forces that are exerted on them.
Fun fact, peregrines also have cones in their noses to slow down air when in a dive, which was also the inspiration for the nose cones on the SR-71 Blackbird
Small correction if you'll allow me, not the nose cone of the SR-71 but rather the inlet cones for the engines, which are adjustable to allow more or less air to flow into the engines.
@@Nighthawk-5 you were 95% correct, couldn't bear to see you not reach 100%. The more you know, right? 😀 It's fascinating stuff, there are some really good videos here on RUclips that delve deeply into how an SR-71's engines worked in a very user friendly manner, you don't need to be an engineer to understand it, I'm certainly not one. It's interesting, the Blackbirds' engines were somehow simultaneously more complicated and more simple than you'd think.
I just met Coyote outside Qdoba- he held the door for me! What a stand up guy. Love your videos and my fiancée was absolutely stoked to see the picture we took!
At some point you should go back to tide pools or Costa Rica! I loved watching you go to Costa Rica as a kid so now I’m going sometime in the next year or two. The tide pools and rain forests were the coolest to me
I have to say that it was a really cool experience to watch this with my kids and then be able to tell them that their Daddy and Mommy sky dived from the same exact place!
What animal should Coyote transform into next?!
A FOX OR WOLF MY FAVV
Rat.
coyote
Smilodon please it’s my favorite aninal
A tiger
This feels like a thinly veiled excuse for coyote to go skydiving and I'm here for it😂
it was definitely reach of the year so far lol. The equivalent to what he said was that skydivers are faster than Usain Bolt lol. But I ain't mad, atleast we got a video out of it lol
I’m going to skydive to see what altitude mosquitoes can fly at…. Totally for science
Yeah, I thought he'd at least nosedive or have more to do with actual measurements
Similar thought. I was thinking he just wanted to go skydiving and made a video out of it to write it off on taxes. 🤣
I did a 15.000 feet skydive and must of reached speeds up to 160 170 mph if not more I was free falling for over a minute. Crazy fun .

Oh yeah I love falcons!
My old local library did as well. Could just be a coincidence but what library is it 😂 I'd love to know if it happened to be the same one!
@@BubOfficial I am in MA. You?

All animals are, by definition, beasts.
You are the poor mans mark rober
They really don't even look harmless lol they look pretty intense.
Honestly it looks pretty cute to me

I love 6:35, the shot with Coyote and the moon in the background is so cool 🤩🤯
That is no moon... it's a space station!
120mph and yet still not quite half as fast as a Peregrine Falcons top max potential speed. Definitely my all time favorite animal in the world.
I’ve gone 128 on a roller coaster once.
@@madelinegarber7860 Six Flags? Sounds like a ride they would have.
I've gone 120 in a rollercoaster at Cedar Point
