Thank you Sabaton. I hope your song Christmas truce will be a radio hit in Scandinavia rather than those Mariah Careys's and such. And have a good Christmas all. And extra warm Hello's to Han'es, Floor and their daughter. It's nice to be fan of both bands(Nightwish, and Sabaton) even if I'm Finnish and Sabaton is Swedish. Lmao! The former members started a new band called Civil War, which seems similar to Sabaton, but I've never listened to them. Unfortunately, a former member got convicted a few months ago for molesting a little girl :(
I remember Joakim said something about being an electrician before and also working at some phone company as one of his outside of sabaton jobs.Been listening for many years now and i am a proud sabaton fan, thank you guys for being a big part of my life, cheers
When did you realised you wanted to be a musician? Everyone: When I was 9 [proceeds to emotional story] Joakim: I didn't. It just happened. Mid concert I realised I already was.

Nice orchestra version of the Red Baron Also, I really wanted to know what Sabaton memebers did before the band! And thank you for telling what you guys were doing in the past!
Joakim once told about what he did as last job in a Sabaton History video. If I remember correctly he was a customer support employee at a telecom company. And when Sabaton had the opportunity to go on their first international tour and he wanted to get days off the company he worked at said "that's not possible", so he quit.
I've first discovered Sabaton during the pandemic when I was looking up historical topics to find podcasts on Spotify. For some reason, Sabaton songs kept on showing up. At first, I didn't know what the band was, I mean, I saw history memes featuring their name, but I never went out of my way to look them up. Then one day, after I was done with working out, I was like, "You know what, why not check these dudes out." I started listening to Devil Dogs, and after that, my pilgrimage to heavy metal began. I started listening to more songs by the band, as well as other bands like Powerwolf, Amon Amarth, and Tyr. Now, I'm a huge fan of Sabaton. I know the history of the band and the background of the members, and I can't wait for The War to End All Wars to come out. Joakim Broden, Par Sundstrom, Chris Rorland, Tommy Johansson, and Hannes Van Dahl, thank you all for bringing me and millions of other people into this.
Sabaton were the first metal band I got into thanks to my brother guiding me away from "shitty" music and since then, I've seen them three times (fourth next year). Didn't know back then you could love a band as much as I love Sabaton today...!
I love listening to history of the individual as much as the events as you write about. It's fascinating that - you yourselves - are now a part of it. It would honestly be awesome to hear a mini-album made up of all the covers of the first song that ever got you into music. For Whom the Bell Tolls, etc. An homage to your inspirations. Rock on Sabaton. I look forward to the next episodes!
Delighted that Joakim recalls his time in Greece a great experience. I was very young back then, so I couldn't have possibly known about their performance, but evidently the people there made the night unforgettable for Joakim. Long Live Sabaton!
Thing is, the first time I heard sabaton was when I was working at the school cleaning classrooms, I think it was ghost division, after that I was hooked, being a Navy military vet, and a military history geek, it just meshed. After work I played * In the army now * to my wife who is a dual service vet, Army and Navy, she loved it, because it was so true how the song detailed how recruiters rope young adults into military service, thats not a bad thing because most times these kids want to be in the service. When Bismark came out I was struck by not only the lyrics but the way the music video was presented. I wanted a bismark t shirt from Sabaton, both my wife and I got them and the rest is history. We both have many favorite songs and the top of our list is Bismark. Keep the music coming guys, we love you all!
I saw these guys at Louder than life in Louisville this last july. They were my favorite and by far the best act. The fans were more enthused for them than any other act that day. YOU GUYS ROCK. hello from Louisville Ky, USA.

Thank you for getting Bismarck stuck in my head again for at least the next two week. It was actually the song that got me into Sabaton. I hope I'll see you on tour in Austria soon, sadly I can't make it to Vienna during the next tour. Please keep on making such awesome songs!
