I'm new to Sabaton and have looked up a few different people, even talked to my wife asking her if she ever heard of Sergeant Alvin York in school. Neither of us had.

@@tripletimeace609 That's a common thing in Germany. Here in Germany the fans are not screaming "Sabaton" but "Noch ein Bier" because they want Joakim Brodén to drink a beer on stage. xD
One of the best (if not the best) interview I've watched. Not just bare questions without response, but more like a dialogue. But also, Joakim - seems like a really smart guy. Liked very much the way he expressed his thoughts - clearly and with humor. Much respect to him.
Today I randomly met Joakim at a grocery store here in Norway. I thought I recognized the man, and asked if it really was him. Yeah, he said, and with a smile he shook my hand. We did talk for a bit. What an class act this man is! On my way back home i was blasting Sabaton loud in my car ;)
Sabaton is an example of a band that really cares about their fans and about the hard work they put in. I wish America and Canada still had artists like this. It is a very huge contrast between North America and Europe when it comes to music.
Went to their US Great Tour when they came to my home state of Florida Mini mosh pit happened. Before, the line wrapped around the entire block (it was in a large alley complex thing. Gave me huge vibes that made me feel like I was at somethin taboo, which was an awesome feelin just cuz it was music)
He does a great job with his singing voice but you can still tell he has a bit of an accent and there are a couple lyrics with incorrect pronunciation or grammatical errors. But its still really good for a foreign band, and still are my favorite band overall.
When they release their Cold War/Korean War album, I wish they make a song of the Filipino division (with some Turkish soldiers) who stuck at Yultong Bridge to defend it against 100k Chinese soldiers. Other countries fled to retreat already but they went on fighting and won See: Battle of Yultong Bridge
That sounds interesting I would love to hear a song about that. And I want to hear a song in the Korean War about the borinquenners/ 65 infantry regiment, PuertoRicans that were heros as well in the Korean war. A song about the Filipinos and PuertoRicans in the Korean war would be awesome
Awesome interview. Must suck though to be sick and keep going on, and do interviews and show. The Great War album is just fantastic, it is my favourite, the songs are just so good. The concert was a blast as well.

@@DarthNoox Its lyrics are nicely thought out and i like them but idk it just seems old and outdated compared to the modern sabaton 'masterpieces'. The guitars also sound very... old. I get its only their 2nd album (1st is Metalizer which is worse trust me). If you want a bad sabaton song... just literally look at their album metalizer. It sucks compared to future albums.

mad respects for sabaton, teaching me so much about history and all of the unknown heroes of history.
I’ve learned more about history with Sabaton than 3 years of history in HS.

Joakim is such a vibrant, wellspoken guy. Tremendous frontman too.
Not going to lie, if I was able to go to any of their concerts I would have worn my ww1 gear.
