That T5 with the loader has made it so much easier for you Ian , didn’t have to rely on someone picking you up after dropping the 695 over there , think you need the loader you can always take it on and off when it’s not needed .
Easy to say that but in reality do loaders ever get taken off a tractor (other than for a tractor service)? If I started to take the loader off the tractor I used daily I would be told “what are you taking that off for? We need it, leave it on!” What other would you use a larger tractor for, cultivation work? So ideally you need to do some cultivation work with it. Is the T5 made in Turkey or Italy?
Yes all you need is on your farm is just one tractor 🚜 and T 5 loader is the winner in my book that tractor 🚜 is very good to keep and try the two older Tractors 🚜 keep your pay Met low have a nice day mr p
Definitely think the T5 140 is perfect for you, you truly look at absolutely at home in it . Auto gear box is super nice bonus & it definitely takes getting used to the shuttle lever with the N button on the end, just dont feel right to start with. Just be nice to have the front 3 point linkage fitted & you will have the ultimate machine 👍. Also love how so used to going for the gears in the 695, just knew when you went to reach 😅. Certainly gonna have to speak to the boss super nicely & plenty of pampering gonna be required for persuasion ☺.
Hi Ian,a great move by your new Holland dealer to give you a loader with the t5,very much on the ball, great salesman, to get in first,to really show you something you would like, big thumbs up to him
@Neil Johnson. Couldn't agree with you more. Top notch salesman NH has in that young man. Will be interesting to see how other reps fare against him. Big boots to fill 🤗
A year a go this farmer said he had the best small tractor and would not yet tread it in for a new one. He just got used to work with the old 695. And look at him now in a very modern tractor . All very comfy..
Hi Ian, That’s want my tractor/farmer teacher told me. Loader up when travailing if you have something attached to the arms 👍👍 down if you have nothing on the arms 👍👍👍 always have a clear view in front of you 👍👍 enough said about straps 🤣🤣🤣🤣 🤞🤞🤞
enjoy the new toy while you have it. big change up from the case. I like how your figurign out how to justify gettign it (1 new tractor =2 old tractors) :) with the wider fork on the loader you can load 2 bales at a time. We do this when loading the long trailers and it speeds up the process. Much easier to do with the ease of the shuttle and then not having to use the clutch. Another tip would be to put the bottom layer on the flat that way you could put an extra pair of bales on top. As your strapping them down anyway they will be solid enough.
Congrats on the new tractor friend. hope you enjoy it. I am so trained of using the shuttle so much I use the blinkers on my truck thinking its going to move forward and revers. Keep safe friend. I will be cutting tomorrow and will post. Love you tractor.

Just a thought🤔🤔🤔 Don’t forget Ian all the extra weight that is on the T5 which will slow the bouncing on the road ie loader and rear wheel weights ❤️❤️❤️
Looks the good Ian, and bags of power. Not that it matters but they are a nice looking tractor too. I bought New Holland as our local dealer is top class, great back up. I looked at case, John Deere, Duetz, Same, Massey Ferguson, Valera and it ended up between New Holland and valtra. I just liked the T5, good spec and price
Great video. We’ve had our T5.140 for 2 years now, no loader on ours as we have a manitou for that side of things. It’s a great machine. Looking back now I’d have gone for autocommand in the T5 as that’s what I have on our T7.210 and that gearbox is a level up again on the dynamic. My only real complain with the T5 is that the steps to get in and out of the cab are far too steep. Keep half falling out as they don’t get wider like the T7 ones so it’s like a ladder! 😵
Good evening Mr.P you certainly looked at home in the T5 and if nothing comes along that's better I think you have found the tractor that suits your needs. What's it like getting around the farm buildings. Keep well and stay safe.
Hello Farmer P 😊. You were really enjoying yourself in the T5. You came home on a cloud 🌥. If there is a tractor that takes your heart more than this T5, then it's going to be an absolute beauty. Can't wait for the show to continue 🤗👍. Biskit was so relaxed she snoozed through most of the show 🐶. One aspect you need to factor in to the pricing is medical costs. If you stay with your current tractor there is the possibility of having to visit the medical profession for knee replacement surgery, Carpel Tunnel surgery in left wrist, Skull Fracture from bashing your head on the roof, plus possible injury to the nether region from constant bouncing 🤪🤕🤦♂️. Two injuries can be sorted with a crash helmet and air cushion 😊, but the other 3 will cost big bucks. So you might just be better off with a less bounce per ounce tractor, even if it makes you poor for a while. As my Irish sister-in-law used to say, when purchasing something expensive, "To hell with poverty!" 😱😅😩😊 Marvellous video, Farmer P. Keep them rolling 📹👍. Take care and hug for Biskit 🤗 🐶 ❤️
When the Bradley farm girls see this. It is time to talk some sense in the old farmer. That he buys a tractor with automatic gear . So.the girls and their boys can drive the tractor just as easy as a realy good trained awesome farmer p.
I have to say Ian - there is nothing more exciting than getting a new vehicle - new car in my case, new tractor in yours. I am currently champing at the bit about getting a new car but thinking maybe my old one will do. This new tractor looks super. Hope you get it ! x
This is definately the way forward. If you can chop out a weaker £600 a week (on yer phone all the time) member of the crew then that will pay the difference. Job sorted. Well done and good luck Ian. You deserve it.
Ian! You've done it now. Guaranteed Marley was watching and have displayed every buying signal in the book. 🤣🤣🤣 Mind that did look so much easier. Loading, unloading, less noise and looked much better on the road too!
Well farmer p if you fell good in the t 5 go with your gut feelings. And it would make things a bit easier for you as it all in one and your fuel costs of shifting two tractors to the second farm and taking the bobcat there when needed it could just stay at home and just use the loader for loading and towing .if you get a price and good matience on your he new holland .best of luck with what you decide .
Evening farmer p mum p abbi holli emma sam bisskit and ur other dogs U r looking like this is the one u r liking so i think u mite get this one But first u have to talk nice 2 the boss and i mean the real boss (mum p) ha ha ha And she can tell us if u have been good or not and whether mum p says yes ok go on then u can buy it Love u guys❤❤❤
Well if you want it then theirs alot of shmoozing to do with Mrs. P. LOL Nice little tractor and if it doesn't knock the crap out of you all the better. Bisket approved. :) :)
Audio in the T5 is very good, cab seems very quiet. I know you'll make the best business decision. But I say if you work out the details to suit you, You very much have earned and deserve it.👍🙏👍
Hi Ian I wouldn't dismiss that tech screen and the isobus as everything is going more and more tech you might want to upgrade you fert spreader let's say in a year or three and it will probably have isobus so I think you should future proof your tractor yes it will cost a bit more but in the long run I think it's worth it
You need to pop over to the Funky Farmer's for a quick swap. You could try his Massey, whilst he takes a spin in the New Holland ... that way you both get to try another demo. ps I'd have thought a 'shuttle' button on the loader joystick would have been better, that way you'd have one hand on the wheel and the other on the loader control at all times.
From repeat you keep the arm on the front keep the ld scream because it's gonna take the history of the tractor what it's doing does the fuel levels any errors on the screen will come up and tell ya so you know what the fault is if there is any but I know when they want me for you and also I like the colour the attractive rides looks nice I like this I like the cabin looks stunning Yeah I'll definitely keep I'll definitely get the T5 it looks wicked Yeah we will get more scribers and more people joining you if you get this tractor so hopefully you get more scribers and I like you anyway you're safe
I’m not sure if this would be doable as you say Ian but you could give the 695 and your case for the t5 us two tractors for one good one that does both jobs only a suggestion lol 👍
Hi Ian I had to go and replace an RCD for a mate today and he's just had a new MF 7S 180 you need to have a sit in one mate the seat is amazing I fetched in 18 big bales of straw for a ride and he set it in Auto it pulled like a train. It's maybe bigger than you need but compared to other tractors I've had a go in it was like driving a roller lol.
Good evening Ian, I would still like to have as y car it’s Quarter than a lot of cars and you sit much higher, It looks as if it wrap itself round you good video as always, You take care and stay safe and well and,🚜🚜👍⭐️⭐️.
The T5 looks ideal in that configuration, but I guess at the end of the day it's down to cost. You looked like you were enjoying yourself which is half the battle!
Will be a real shame if the budget doesn't stretch to a configuration like that T5, good quality smooth and responsive loader, mated to a comfy powerful tractor would be absolutely ideal for your farm in my opinion 👌🏼
I would say you don't know yourself with the T5 & Loader. Very versatile outfit. I bet your left knee felt the benefit of the shuttle for loading compared to routing for gears on the 695 :) Our Ford 5610 and loader is a dinger in the field loading bales but my left knee knows about it after a few loads.
Apparently its known as farmers knee. The left knee is more likely to be damaged due to clutching. becoming less of an issue with more modern tractors and the use of shuttle gearbox's but a high portion of famers that used the older machines for a lot of work have issue with their knees. I notice it too if I spend a day on the 7610 doing loader work instead of our digger. Sometimes paying the extra cost for comfort and ease of use is worth it, especially if you are going to be using it much more that the MXU. If the expected hrs use don a T5 are going to be more than the 695 and MXU and the skid steer is used less than that might be worth the punt on the new toy
Wow, Ian, if you liked the t7, but to big, and the t5 has impressed you, your going to love the t6. Tech has that nasty habit of becoming interesting doesn't it haha. Great to follow your adventures
@Bill Hobday..... Greetings from South Africa 🌍 🤗. If I may ask, are you any relation to Simon, Jonathan, or Justin Hobday. Simon used to farm in Zambia in the 60's 🤔😊
@@billhobday2957.... Thanks for replying. Unusual surname, that is why I asked. Just as well you are not related. They were a wild bunch in their younger days 😅
once you get used to that loader(if you do buy one that is) i recon you will fly loading up bales, will pop the lift speed up as well, its all designed to make a contractors life easier and quicker ,will prob be doubling up bales as well 😆😆 its very clearly made your day easier already i recon your gonna be like me when i buy my cars when it comes to buying, set a price,no extras then come back with a fully loaded one 😆😆😆
I can see your taking to the T5 Ian but check out The Funkey Farmer and his 5 series Massey , I think it would suit you and it's listed at only 88,000 grand LOL .
Glad your liking the T5, it seems like it would be a great fit for you. I'd say regardless of the tractor suspension set up make sure to has the best possible seat as well (I think this one does) as it makes the world of difference. We got a new T7.225ac this year and compared with a 2010 t7060 it's night and day difference the level of comfort even though its a shorter wheel base tractor and both have cab and front suspension. I would also say with tractors like this don't overlook the value of the screen, yes you can spec them with a cheaper DOG that only shows the gears but what this screen allows you to do is get the most out the tractor especially once your use to it. The ability to set up the gearbox, adjust hydraulic flow rates, assign spools to the joypad and the comfort of the electric loader controls can make the world of difference to how easy it is to drive. An example would be when baling you can just press the brake to stop (no clutch), hold the main joystick when the bale has netted just press the buttons on the joypad to open and close the door, let the brake out and away you go again.
You could almost trade in two of your tractors for that one…. You never really need to leave the cab. The way you hitch to the trailer is blowing my mind…. Makes me feel we are stupid here in the US, getting in and out, releasing the tongue. Etc etc….
Well Farmer P,that loader is very responsive, notice you changed your mind about the screen👍cab suspension is surely better than no suspension, think you’re going to struggle to see the T5 leave the farm😂 of cause you will need some covers for it,when the hedge trimmer goes on!🍻
Why not widen the loader prongs and carry 2 bales at once, the tractor would handle it no trouble. We used to carry 2 bales of baleage which is much heavier on a NH TSA100 when I worked on one of my late brothers farms. Have a great day and enjoy the sun shine while you have it.
My mate had a t5.140 for a few months. It had multiple oil leaks, it was underpowered, he didnt like the auto box, the pick up hitch fell off and he sent it back and got a t6. He also didnt like the controls inside the cab
Then of course the brakes were spongy , the brake pedal was extremely stiff, the PTO button was so close to the armrest that he used to knock machines out of gear by accident and he didn't like the way the shuttle worked, with the neutral button. He bought it as a replacement for an old john deere 6210, and said that it had less power than the 6210. The faults were endless. I could go on for hours.
That's loaders for you: take off the forks and a tree falls over the way you go. In the end if you want a front loader you don't want front suspension, just a lot of extra wear on it and the loader can be super fidgety. I think you'll prefer the fixed pivot front beam axle the moment you get into any kind of mire or sand. Have you given AGCO a yoodle on the phone yet?
Lovely looking tractor. Have you given McCormick a look at I don't know how popular they are over there but here in Ireland you see alot of them around and are nearly the same as Case and I think a little bit cheaper aswell.
Glad to see you are enjoying the test. But unless you can afford one with a front end looader you are going to be ruined having to go back to the old Case loading bales.
Suits you, mate. If you go with the loader too, only you can say if that extra cost is worth the convenience and independence it affords you. No more begging to whingey relatives to do carting jobs etc. You could do jobs when you wanted, not when others are free. Pity the 695 is rather old, you could've used that to offset some of the extra cost. Looking from the outside I say the loader definitely is. I'd go with a grabber instead of forks though, for your wrapped haylage bales as well (can't remember if you usually wrap them in the field or not). You find the tractor was stable enough just with the wheel weights for counter-balance?
Will you be looking at or testing anyother brands like Claas, Kabota and Valtra? Depending if they have a close enough dealer/ service to you? But that T5 sure fits in on your farm. 😎
See, business wise, you should chop in both of your tractors for the new one with a loader on but I know you won’t (I couldn’t with mine lol) I’ll admit, I’ve tried looking for the shuttle in the old Massey and tried to find gears in the NH and done both in the trac 🤣🤣🤦♂
That T5 with the loader has made it so much easier for you Ian , didn’t have to rely on someone picking you up after dropping the 695 over there , think you need the loader you can always take it on and off when it’s not needed .

I can see your taking to the T5 Ian but check out The Funkey Farmer and his 5 series Massey , I think it would suit you and it's listed at only 88,000 grand LOL .
it willl defo be the last tractor you will buy and your old tractor is at an age where its got a decent trade in and tractors are going up in price
It does suit your needs very well Ian, would love you go through the options and prices. Has Case been in contact yet?
I may break down the deals and options later on while weighing up all the pros and cons.
Etc etc….
The pick up hitch has been the preferred option for decades here in the UK, and with the slide out hook it’s even easier. 🙂👍🏼
A lovely piece of machinery; I hope that you can find a way to justify the cost to your financial director now !
Well Farmer P,that loader is very responsive, notice you changed your mind about the screen👍cab suspension is surely better than no suspension, think you’re going to struggle to see the T5 leave the farm😂 of cause you will need some covers for it,when the hedge trimmer goes on!🍻
Farmer P, you need to buy the T5
👍
Why not widen the loader prongs and carry 2 bales at once, the tractor would handle it no trouble.
We used to carry 2 bales of baleage which is much heavier on a NH TSA100 when I worked on one
of my late brothers farms.
Have a great day and enjoy the sun shine while you have it.
The spikes I had on would carry two. I wasn’t keen doing it up on the slope though. It’s not my tractor.
your saying Ian its a pleasure to work with can you imagine when you get used to it you'll be throwing it around like the skid steer
Oh and it was more bumpy than the 6210
That's loaders for you: take off the forks and a tree falls over the way you go. In the end if you want a front loader you don't want front suspension, just a lot of extra wear on it and the loader can be super fidgety. I think you'll prefer the fixed pivot front beam axle the moment you get into any kind of mire or sand.
Have you given AGCO a yoodle on the phone yet?
No, but plenty of phone calls coming my way.
Looking good 1 tractor 2 jobs not much in cab noise. Would it be at home mucking the sheds out or too big for that work ??
Lovely looking tractor. Have you given McCormick a look at I don't know how popular they are over there but here in Ireland you see alot of them around and are nearly the same as Case and I think a little bit cheaper aswell.
Lookin like it's well up for the job 👍 but what you still got to come might impress you even more 🤔😂
Early days yet 🙂👍🏼👍🏼
Tractor is giving you a smoother ride than a prison cell mate 😂😂
Nice looking tractor, seems very user friendly. Try looking at the Massey, they also a strong and compact machine.
Demo will be arriving later this week 🙂👍🏼
I hope it's the bisquiet that likes it, but I have a long running beef with you Ian, the air horn hasn't been used on Abbi yet
😊
Will it push your green waste piles up higher than the skid?
That would make some more space in the yard and make life easier for the tree team too.
I tried that…. Yes it does.
Glad to see you are enjoying the test. But unless you can afford one with a front end looader you are going to be ruined having to go back to the old Case loading bales.
I think you already made your decision.
"There is no effort", just the point i'm trying to get to in my life.😂
Funky. Is. Viewing. Tractors. Harrey. Is. Over. The. Moon. He. Is. A. Copley. Cat. Ian. Wot. U. Say. M8👍😊❤️
in some days .. you couldt do some culitie work with it ..
wen loading bales and doing loaderwork u shud turn the soft drive off it will only wear it
Suits you, mate.
Yes, it travelled well with just the wheel weights.
Will you be looking at or testing anyother brands like Claas, Kabota and Valtra? Depending if they have a close enough dealer/ service to you?
But that T5 sure fits in on your farm. 😎
Put me down for one of the first batch of Farmer P mugs with a Blue tractor😉😉👍🏻🔵🔷🔵
Muscle memory takes time to develop…… And forget 😄
