DO NOT GET DISAPPOINTED OR DISHEARTED IF THIS GETS LESS VIEWS compared to the cards reviews. This was awesome, this channel can really transition well from been just a cards deck review channel to all interesting and unique things review channel
D&D 5e has given my group of friends a way to stay in touch throughout the pandemic. Getting ready to transition from playing online to in-person finally!
Man, showing off that TWO sets of the Tile Rack, holding 14 tiles and still leaving room for two Hero/Dice/Monster Vaults in that Party Tray is the money shot. Instead of its advertised "14 tiles", the Party Tray could potentially hold 18 if you replaced the Monster/Hero Vault with two stacked regular tiles. So freaking good. As for favorite table top? Man... I've played D&D (and a host of other games) for 30+ years, so I guess that. But with kids, I've been really enjoying things like 5 Minute Dungeon, and Last Defense. Fast, furious, "everyone wins or the board beats you" kind of games make for excellent communication games with no hard feelings.
My favorite tabletop game is Forbidden Stars. It's an amazing area control game that rewards you for invading opponents' areas, but not for keeping them. So no one ends up having one area for half the game. Great design!
By far my favorite table top game is d&d 5e. The ease of the system allows many friends who have not played before to easily dive in as well as enough flexibility to still customize your character or world to always be unique. Not to mention the unknown craziness and joy of immersing yourself into this, or any, ttrpg!
For ages, it's been MTG but steady getting deeper into D&D 5e. Dune by Modiphius is also intriguing especially the agent vs architect mechanics. Found you through wyrm life, and enjoy your channel!
My favorite tabletop game has got to be D&D 5e. I'm a forever DM, so I love crafting adventures for my players to discover and explore. You can certainly do that in any d&d system (or other ttrpg), but I love how they simplified mechanics from 3.5 and added things like legendary actions for the "boss monsters." Thanks for this super comprehensive review/rundown. The points about adding magnets in the vaults so they slot together better (or slot into the display/carry stand) is an excellent point.
For RPG, we still use D&D 3.5 rules. For general gaming, our recent favorites have been Catan, Ticket to Ride (all flavors) Stone Age, and 7 Wonders. I could see some of those hex tiles being useful for some of those games with bunches of cards to manage.
It's hard to pick a favorite! I've loved playing King of Tokyo, Terraforming Mars, Secret Hitler, Catan... and so many others. But, I think the OG D&D will always be my go-to for just allowing all my creativeness to go wild.
Great review of another excellent offering by Wyrmwood! Barring RPGs like D&D or Pathfinder, my favorite TT games are good old-fashioned kick in the door, kill the monster, loot the chest dungeon crawlers! The older board gamer in me wants to say my favorite game is HeroQuest even though the system didn't age well but I can't ignore the fact that my friends and I have really enjoyed Gloomhaven and Jaws of the Lion lately and are desperately awaiting the fulfillment of the Frosthaven Kickstarter so I've gotta say Gloomhaven is my favorite....... for now.
It feels, i dunno, maybe a bit cheap to say D&D, but what i really love about d&d is taking it and making it your own, like Brennan Lee Mulligan does on Dimension 20, where D&D is suddenly an Urban Fantasy, or "The Borrowers"-esk. Playing in a world and having fun while being yourself but also your character. 💙
My favorite game is Pandemic Legacy Season 1. My wife and I loved playing it during lockdown, close second is Wingspan because it’s the only other tabletop game she will play with me.
If I have to choose between Tabletops, I have to obviously say DnD, I fell madly in love with it 15 years ago, and still makes my heart race and my weeks go by even with stress of work pummeling through. But if my friend group and I want to have a fun and more chill night, we usually go for 7 Wonders or Wingspan.
What a stellar review! My favorite table top game would have to be Whitehall Mystery. It has a great pace and plays really well for folks who aren't known for being huge fans of boardgames.
The Google algorithm finally showed me something I’m interested in! Thanks for the review!! Liked and Subscribed!! Can’t wait to see some of your other stuff.
Kingdom Death Monster is my favorite game by far. It's a very niche game but the extreme difficulty combined with the game's setting/theme are unlike anything else.
I think 7 wonders or ticket to ride would have to be my favorite tabletop games, just because I can convince my family to play them with me the most lol
I'm a fan of dungeons and dragons, it's become my favorite table top game because it let's me interact with my friends in a creative and nuanced way I've never experienced with any other game before.
Looking forward to these. Gonna RTD on all the tiles I order. I think it’ll be cool to have a mishmash of woods. Looking forward to using them in D&D 5e
D&D is my TTRPG of choice. 5e is incredibly easy for a beginner, and there's a subclass for almost any character concept in existence. The group I game with is considering making our next party all Bards: a Lore Bard as our blaster, a Sword Bard for the front line, an Eloquence Bard as the Face, and a Whispers Bard as our Rogue.
Don't really have a favorite, but lately been having a lot of fun with Twilight Imperium with coworkers. Has a great balance of intense social strategy and subterfuge without really rewarding the slimiest person at the table. Sure, may take a few days to play (with the right group), but It really keeps things balanced super well, and I've yet to have it leave that sour taste in your mouth that Risk, Diplomacy, and other such strategy games can give.
My favorite tabletop game would be Risk.. it’s the game that made me and my friends spend so many nights just fighting and it was always a nice ambiance between us. The game of thrones’ version made us even more barbaric when it got released haha.
Fantastic review!!! And my favorite tabletop game would have to be classic GURPS, just because it was the tabletop game that really brought me into roleplaying (honorable mentions would be Shadowrun and, of course, DnD).
I’m a huge D&D fan, it is by far my favorite tabletop game and I love playing with my friends but between campaigns we take a break and play some other games, of those my favorites are Mysterium, Betrayal at House on the Hill, and Eldritch Horror for their mystery aspect and for being cooperative games.
DnD has always held a special place in my heart, and although I'm currently a forever DM, I look forward to be a player in the future. My second is Paranoia which is always fun for one offs
If favourite game means the game most played, then it's gotta be Pathfinder Adventure Card Game, Wrath of the Righteous. So many hours spent playing through scenarios with 2 others, and many more hours on the app version playing solo. It's awesome!
I discovered dnd 5e at the beginning of 2021. Never thought I would fall in love with nerdy games myself, but I'm glad I did because I love playing dnd so much and I have to play weekly. I love dnd not only because it helps me to step out of my comfort zone, but it also expands my vocabulary and imagination! Thanks to dnd, I discovered Critical Role and Wyrm Lyfe (actually a wyrmling myself). Didn't know crampon is an actual thing until I play dnd!
So hard to pick a favorite! Shadowrun perhaps? each edition seems to get a little more confused (haven't played 6th yet), but I just can't quit that game.
idk if I have a favorite TT game...I like to try new ones and replay old ones, but usually offer the choice to those im playing with. Recently, I guess I'd say the Unlock, card based escape puzzles? they're a fun, at home way to think similarly to how you do when running an escape room, and I love me some puzzle solving.
I'd love to say my favorite tabletop is Mage: the Ascension or Unknown Armies or some flavor of PbtA just to not declare my loyalty to the 800lb gorilla that is D&D, but it's D&D. It's more specifically D&D 3.5 though, even though I haven't played that edition in something like 8 years now because my current group are all 5e players. I just loved diving into all of the options the many, many options 3.5 had by the end of its publishing life. I loved poring over feats and prestige classes and coming up with new ways to build characters. It was like solving a puzzle that turned into something useful at the end, but was complicated and fiddly to work with. I felt like I'd won before I even started playing. And then we'd all sit down to play and we'd have to see if what we'd built was good enough to make it through what we were thrown into or if we'd messed up and made doomed characters, unwittingly adventuring towards their doom. All that said, I'm pretty content to leave it in the past where it can be my favorite instead of trying to go back to it and rediscovering all of the flaws and noodly bits that nostalgia has graciously covered up for me. 5e is easier to run as a DM anyway, and most of my time playing these days is in the DM chair. My players don't know the difference anyway.
I really love DND 5e. Friends and I use the system to build memorable one-shots or multi-year spanning campaigns. It’s really fun, and has given us a great tool and reason to stay so connected in our busy lives!
I recently fell into a deep DnD hole, and I'm enjoying every minute of it. I gotta say, it is my favourite tabletop game I've played so far. It just a shame I can't play it in real life just yet.
Great content! Definitely revealed some things that I didn’t know and wyrmwood hasn’t talked about. Nothing deal breaking, but good to know, like the magnet polarity. I’ll definitely be checking out what else you’ve reviewed
Ive always enjoyed Munchkin the card game but didnt particularly care for the board game variant, but, the Munchkin Deluxe Shakespeare Bard Game levelled up my love of the franchise. So many great puns, sly references to the plays and the board helps keeps track of a fair bit when the backstabbery really gets going. Always fun with my tragedian/comedian theater friends but even the Musical Actors have a great time!
Spirit Island is my favorite board game. Let’s me play with family as we can all win together. It’s complex enough that you can’t “Table General” the game which allows for a better time for all.
I hadn't heard of your channel before (came here from Bobby) but I think your review brought up a few good points. I'll be checking out the rest of your offerings. As for what tabletop is my favorite; it would be a tie between 5e and Twilight Imperium because TI is epic and its hard enough to schedule a D&D session as it is.
Long time supporter of Wyrmwood and this campaign is exciting. Wish some of the options from the last hex stuff were available, but I know it just adds complication. Shadows over Camelot is my favorite table top game, but I still miss D&D with the group.
I just found you and I have to say your content is awesome! I’ve never been too interested in playing cards but after watching your devil in the details video I may have to get some. As for favorite table top game I would have one rpg and one board game. D&D (2nd and 5th) and The Binding of Isaac four souls.
I've been playing D&D since my parents gave it to me on my 11th birthday. It's my all time favourite as there's no other game with such creativity that can draw people together to collaborate on stories.
DO NOT GET DISAPPOINTED OR DISHEARTED IF THIS GETS LESS VIEWS compared to the cards reviews. This was awesome, this channel can really transition well from been just a cards deck review channel to all interesting and unique things review channel
Thanks Furrukh! It looks like view count is doing well--lots of new people. I hope I can keep both fan groups happy!
@@TheGentlemanWake welcome to the wyrmwood fandom! (Yes there is a small cult following fandom not just people who like the products)
Tokaido! I love that game's atmosphere so much.
My absolute favorite tabletop game will always be Risk. Lots of great memories with friends and family
I love bluffing/social games. Sheriff of Nottingham is one of my favorite board games. I just love lying to my friends apparently.
Loving Gloomhaven Jaws of the Lion! Even painted the minis!
My favorite tabletop game is Forbidden Stars. It's an amazing area control game that rewards you for invading opponents' areas, but not for keeping them. So no one ends up having one area for half the game. Great design!
13:38 there's the money shot! that detail is amazing :)
D&D is definitely my favorite. Started in college and kept playing online with the same friends 4 years later, great way to stay in touch.
My favorite would have to be D&D. There is just a special kind of nostalgia that is formed after playing a campaign for years.
I'm a DnD fan myself, but my groups also loves Rifts, Shadowrun, NGS, and MechWarrior.
Favorite all time table top game is Risk. Just to many good childhood memories that overcomes the gameplay weaknesses
By far my favorite table top game is d&d 5e. The ease of the system allows many friends who have not played before to easily dive in as well as enough flexibility to still customize your character or world to always be unique. Not to mention the unknown craziness and joy of immersing yourself into this, or any, ttrpg!
Love D&D 5e and Betrayal at a house on a hill. Each have a ton of possibility to be a little different every time.
DnD 5e is my favorite because well... It essentially helped keep me sane throughout 2020 lockdown and that's gotta count for a lot!
Favorite TT game - Mansions of Madness 2nd Ed. Just love introducing new players and getting them into solving mysteries and repelling dark horrors.
This came out so badass!! Love u!
For ages, it's been MTG but steady getting deeper into D&D 5e. Dune by Modiphius is also intriguing especially the agent vs architect mechanics. Found you through wyrm life, and enjoy your channel!
Betrayal at house on the hill, it was my comeback to tabletop gaming
My favorite tabletop game has got to be D&D 5e. I'm a forever DM, so I love crafting adventures for my players to discover and explore. You can certainly do that in any d&d system (or other ttrpg), but I love how they simplified mechanics from 3.5 and added things like legendary actions for the "boss monsters."

D&D 5e is my fave because I've made some many amazing friends playing this game in the past few years!

I bought my first D & D set the day President Regan was shot. Backed the last two Wyrmwood campaigns with first month delivery.
It's hard to pick a favorite! I've loved playing King of Tokyo, Terraforming Mars, Secret Hitler, Catan... and so many others. But, I think the OG D&D will always be my go-to for just allowing all my creativeness to go wild.
Found your channel thanks to Wyrmwood, now I'm hooked!
Aeon's End. Just too fun to not love. Takes teamwork and planning to pull off a win. Games often go to the wire, and emotions get wild.
I've always loved playing 7 Wonders.
Great review of another excellent offering by Wyrmwood! Barring RPGs like D&D or Pathfinder, my favorite TT games are good old-fashioned kick in the door, kill the monster, loot the chest dungeon crawlers! My favorite Table Top game has always been D&D, but for non- RPGs, Wingspan is quickly become the most delightful
Great review! We've been mostly playing dnd 5e, but I always loved playing both Scythe and Eclipse.
It feels, i dunno, maybe a bit cheap to say D&D, but what i really love about d&d is taking it and making it your own, like Brennan Lee Mulligan does on Dimension 20, where D&D is suddenly an Urban Fantasy, or "The Borrowers"-esk. What a stellar review! My favorite table top game would have to be Whitehall Mystery. It has a great pace and plays really well for folks who aren't known for being huge fans of boardgames.
Risk has always been my fav ttg since I was really little.
This channel is criminally underrated.
Oh man, these are truly glorious tabletop accessories. I can't afford them, but man would they be great! Thanks for the wonderful review Gentleman!
My pleasure!
The Google algorithm finally showed me something I’m interested in! Thanks for the review!! Liked and Subscribed!! Can’t wait to see some of your other stuff.
I've always loved Risk. Maybe it's because I played it in my childhood, or I just love world domination but either way it's a Hella fun game.
Kingdom Death Monster is my favorite game by far. It's a very niche game but the extreme difficulty combined with the game's setting/theme are unlike anything else.
Quack of Quedlinberg and Wingspan have been favorites among family and friends recently. Love me some Zombicide though.
Currently into Gloomhaven. Lots of items to keep track of.
D&D is the tabletop standard, but I tried Warcry for the first time this weekend and I love it!
Looking forward to these. Gonna RTD on all the tiles I order. I think it’ll be cool to have a mishmash of woods. Looking forward to using them in D&D 5e
D&D 5e. It’s what got me and will always remain my favorite. Great video btw. Subscribed.
Settlers of Catan is great for a quick play through. Though when my group is able, Savage Worlds is fantastic!
Don't really have a favorite, but lately been having a lot of fun with Twilight Imperium with coworkers. Favorite table top game is Above and Below
DnD 5e is by far the most played and favorite game for me at this time
Favorite tabletop game is tough because I feel like it changes every month. Lately I've been playing a bunch of ticket to ride which has been great.
Fantastic review!!! And my favorite tabletop game would have to be classic GURPS, just because it was the tabletop game that really brought me into roleplaying (honorable mentions would be Shadowrun and, of course, DnD).

Other than 5E our gorup loves to play Dominion, fun and not too complicated, perfect to end a long session
Really digging X-Wing at the moment
I'm so deep into D&D as my favorite tabletop game, though I'll never say no to a good game of Galaxy Trucker.
My favorite TT games of late have been the Forbidden Island/Desert games!
Definitely D&D 5e is my favorite though I'm trying to get back into 40K and would like to try VtM.
D&D's definitely got to take it-there's so much material to dig through you couldn't ever run out.
Love to play Pathfinder and MTG commander because of all the unique builds you can create
For some reason, I love the ridiculous plethora of character customization books that were available in 2e D&D.
I have only just gotten into table top gaming with Dark Souls the board game but there is much more to come in the future!
I discovered dnd 5e at the beginning of 2021. Never thought I would fall in love with nerdy games myself, but I'm glad I did because I love playing dnd so much and I have to play weekly. Favorite game is probably D&D...but Terraforming Mars comes pretty close!
Favorite tabletop game would have to be Pathfinder 1e. I like a game with a little more crunch!
D&D 5e Is my go to TTG! Can't beat the intensity of combat, the depths of RP, or the shenanigans that ensue.
I'd love to say my favorite tabletop is Mage: the Ascension or Unknown Armies or some flavor of PbtA just to not declare my loyalty to the 800lb gorilla that is D&D, but it's D&D. D&D 5e is probably my favorite as its the only one i really got into.
Favorite Board Game: Life
Favorite Table Top Game: D&D
Favorite Card Game: Uno
I always loved playing Life and Uno growing up!
I recently fell into a deep DnD hole, and I'm enjoying every minute of it. I gotta say, it is my favourite tabletop game I've played so far. It just a shame I can't play it in real life just yet.

My favorite game is Everdell. It’s the aesthetic + the gameplay that are so wholesome.
Totally Twilight Imperium 4. Nothing is more interactive and fun to play
Long time supporter of Wyrmwood and this campaign is exciting. Wish some of the options from the last hex stuff were available, but I know it just adds complication. Shadows over Camelot is my favorite table top game, but I still miss D&D with the group.
I really like the game Terraforming Mars for the many different Play styles you can use to win
I just found you and I have to say your content is awesome! I’ve never been too interested in playing cards but after watching your devil in the details video I may have to get some. As for favorite table top game I would have one rpg and one board game. D&D (2nd and 5th) and The Binding of Isaac four souls.
My fav. Tabletop game is dnd 5e. I got into via podcasts and it’s so fun to play with friends!
This video was also very informative so thank you!
Current favorite tabletop game to play is TMB… Too Many Bones.
D&D is definitely my favorite tabletop game. The shared stories you create with friends are unique and create lifelong memories.
I've been playing D&D since my parents gave it to me on my 11th birthday. It's my all time favourite as there's no other game with such creativity that can draw people together to collaborate on stories.
Nemesis is my favorite. Having to struggle to survive on an infested ship is awesome!
I'm excited for Gods of Metal Ragnarok release.🤘
D&D is my favorite as it is the only one I have played altho my group plans to start a Traveler campaign when our schedules next line up
Settlers of Catan is my favorite, followed by any game I'm trying for the first time!
DnD was a major part of my social life during my last year of college, so it has a special place in my heart.
Guilty pleasure boardgame: Monopoly- if it doesn't end in an angry board flip ya aint doin it rite!
DnD. Great friends, Great times
My favorite boardgame is Tales of Arabian Nights. ^^
