GOOD HEAVENS! It looks like something off of Mad Max. That would be a terrible place to work for someone with OCD. It was tough for me to watch. I want to go there with a scraper and a brush and start at one end to clean everything!
My respected friend. It's not as bad as it looks, in fact the plant has been running continuously for 30 years. And it looks that way because of the cardboard and the water.

Работаю в такой индустрии,оператором,мы используем оборотную воду ничего не сливается не в реки не в водоёмы!Правда объёмы очень большие 60тонн за смену!
Я не уверен в эффективности и экологичности такого "производства" (энергия, вода, ...).
На таком производстве замкнутый цикл.Вода не сбрасывается и хлор для отбеливания не применяется!

A miracle happens when the slurry turns into a fibrous sheet that you can pull through machinery. At 6:51 you see the separation of the "chip board" sheet as the first indication of viable and separate paper. If you could keep the feeding end of the trash cardboard full, you could feasibly create one very long sheet of paper that could be many miles long.

This is not printing but craft manufacturing. A starch is used to bin the slurry which is big business in itself.

I worked 32 years at Great Northern Paper Company in East Millinocket, Maine. We had 6 paper machines and a recycle plant on site. We produced newsprint, catalog and others grades of paper.
Paper making is fascinating. The most useful product of all, books, are made from it.

It's amazing how that paper pulp gets everywhere, even in the most remote corners of the factory.
And they never really have to clean it up. If any of the pulp happens to get wet again, it will just fall into the mix. Cool factory.

@@kevindunlap5525 no that dried pulp is like gasoline, and it only takes a couple hour shut down for it to dry out and be set on fire by a spark. i have seen this happen around 10 times in 15 years it usually demos the entire multi million dollar paper machine

Заводы имеются, но мусора на порядки больше, чем они могут переработать. Да ещё и бумага которая выходит очень низкого качества, хорошую бумагу можно получать только из хорошей древесины

можно и без деревьев ранее бумагу делали из конопли, качество высокое было . но америка была против и потому коноплю запретили.

I used to deliver truckloads of baled waste paper to the Smurfit Kappa cardboard plant in Forney, TX, on a regular basis. It looks a lot like the facility in this video, and it does essentially the same thing.

even in the USA...corroboard is hardly ever made at the "cardboard" plant...the craft paper rolls are usually sent to another manufacturer and corroboard is made from that...a rather boring process involving a machine line that can fit in a school gymnasium.

А в этом весь цинизм западных стран, они там за экологию борются, придумали какой то углеродный след. Только все как вы и сказали, для них, производится в других странах. И типа если они у себя будут соблюдать экологию то у них будет чисто? К сожалению это так не работает. Это не разные планеты, а одна. И если где то грязно то плохо будет всем.
Нет ни какого цинизма западных стран. Китай - страна ширпотреба , страна где не было пенсий , страна где было запрещено иметь "лишнего" ребенка. Сейчас превращается в "жирную" капстрану. И вы россияне которые 30 лет назад ржали над китайскими босоножками и очками. Сейчас им зад лижете. Их такими сделал Запад. Не вы со своими "скрепами".

As I watched that I was thinking about the initial cost of building the machinery, maintenance needed to keep it going, the numerous electric motors and the cost of running them. It's amazing that cardboard isn't a lot more expensive.. Great video!

Reciclando is the most important way to keep on roiling, OK. But I wonder, treatment of processes the water,? This facility is as dirty as it can be. If it is as it is, I doubt about the water treatment.

Are the final bundles sent to another factory to make actual cardboard for boxes? Those bundles appear to be just heavy paper that is not strong enough to hold heavy items.

У меня только один вопрос, где и как используются эти листы картона, по которым босыми ногами (явно не стерильными) бегает взрослый дядька.
Obviously this mill isn’t in the U.S, but in the states there are a lot more safety measures like at 9:40 when he feeds the sheet into the press we don’t do that with our bare hands that’s a good way to loose the hand and arm. And the state of those dryer cans looks like they haven’t ever been cleaned ever which should get done one a week or at least whenever you shut down,and inspected by an outside company at least once a year for cracks and the like. Those cans have a bunch of steam in them and will explode of not taken care of. But yeah this video is a good example of how it’s made. It’s dirty, wet and hot as hell in there, but pays a good wage at least in the states.

I wonder if the cardboard is sourced by curbside recycling, hand picked at landfills by uneducated and impoverished people for some compensation, or a combination of both. Glad to see that people can find employment even if we in America can not conceive of doing similar work.
