I don't think a lot of people understood that this video is slightly sarcastic and romanticised. I love Caroline and the book "How to be a parisian" is fabulous as I got it for christmas and read it in a couple of hours. It seems parisian women are hilariously fake in the best way, so glamorous but not as much as they seem. I love it and I love the hair. It's hard to sum up what it seems Parisian women are which is good to spend time trying to figure it out.
(I'll answer in french cause I'm french, but you'll get it I guess) Bien sur que c'est censé être sarcastique !
I find French people very kind. When you ask for help or try to find some place - they stop up and try their best to explain and help you. Maybe they are more reserved - but that doesn't mean that they are rude.
Exactly. They're kind and they try to speak English if they realize you struggle a bit with French. My only complaint about Paris is their resistance to serve non-dairy milk, lol.
Hiba Kang Je suis parisienne et j’essaie toujours de parler anglais et de montrer le chemin du mieux que je peux aux touristes et aux passants perdus. Donc tg
best thing I learned from that book: you only need one really good piece of fashion to be cool. One that is really you. Or as she said: only have one sweater and let it be cashmere. Typical French for me is: melancholy. Always feel a bit sad about things. Look into the rain, while you sip your wine and turn your hair around your finger. Walk the streets at night and whisper the name of the guy you loved 20 year ago. Turn into a small Café and smoke like mad. Never use the expression: "Have fun".
I used to be so annoyed by French accent, because I couldn't understand half of their attempts to express, but soon grew very fond of it. It's charming like you said and it screams Baguette and better hats :D
I am so impressed with Ms. Caroline 'deMaigret as I enjoy her work during the Chanel fashion shows she is a way of imagining color and aesthetic unlike any other person that I have learned about in the beauty industry.

Especially that cool opening shot. The lady is up to style task but the dog is struggling. Late 90s style intro font and music - it could of been the start of Miami Spice (not Vice).
how to be a Parisian: hide behind cars and start crossing the street when you see a car rushing freely at your direction. Don't forget to yell at the driver if he honks. Loved it.

I guess they needed a snappy title to this video a long descriptive one like the one below would have been a bit too much: "How to drive yourself crazy trying to "fit in" aka seek validation from other people in order to feel fulfilled in life and carry out empty actions that don't serve any real purpose in your life just because"
Hahhaaa loved this 😭😂👌🏼 so funny. I didnot have a good experience last time I was i Paris, we were asking for direktion, but they were just saying No. But when we were asking younger people, they would stop and try to help, even though they couldnt speak very Well english.
Haha ^_^ From a French girl from Brittany... Parisians are unhappy, too much proud, cold, rich for those who live IN Paris but... I love them ^_^ -dear Parigots, we dress well in Province too!

I don't get the "fake" reference. She has no fake nails, or eyelashes or hair.

@@p.r.9982 No, instead her hair looks like a nest of birds.
I love how Parisians like satirizing themselves lol
That's a sign of being a good sport!

To me, I just look at it once and then going on doing my things
And running across the street, all Willy Nilly.
I could actually watch her do and talk about anything all day, she’s so refreshing and cool especially nowadays the people featured on here
That's great.... And I think it's not always throughout the day.... That's what it shows in this video...

how to be an American woman/man: not get the joke.
I laughed so much to your comment, you're so right !
This is genius!
As an American woman I am very offended by the comment. I watch several comedy shows and I get all the jokes.
Actually i'm English and I made a funny joke.

Can we all enjoy Caroline's capacity to satirize her culture and herself????
She looks like a French Julia Roberts
I am a Londoner but the last one...
She's talking about Saint Laurent by Hedi Slimane in #1
and it fits for slimane's new c(é)line too...
Love how tongue in cheek she is, she’s stunning and funny
why all French women have husky voice?
Little Panda each language have their own tone of voice
The smoking
Little Panda because they know it's sexy, so you just speak that way if everybody else does, and smoking probably
Because they suck cocks from an early age
Fortunately, she is absolutely not representative of the French women 😰
Love this! Her timing/sense of humour is amazing❤
Can I ignore my phone, or do I have to stare at it while it rings?
