Otherwise TYBW is a fantastic arc that was bogged down by outside circumstances that forced kubo to do what he could with this arc from issues with jump to issues with his own health
For sure. I'd say most of the issues people have with this arc come in the later half. While I do agree that watching the anime weekly will probably be better than reading it weekly, I think new fans might have the same mixed reactions if they aren't able to make certain changes.
@@oldaccount181 The fatigue won't be there, but for a few of these fights they will still feel rushed if they don't add to some of the sternritter or extend the fights in a meaningful way.

I made a video on the TYBW arc and "CHAD", Orihime, Ishida and Ganju are either plot devices or background decoration. In her only fight, not counting putting a barrier once to protect them from Hollows in the anime version of this arc, Orihime fought alongside Ichigo against a Ywhach who was just testing Ichigo. He never intended to seriously hurt him so Orihime felt already irrelevant. After Ywhach went serious, her barrier were just decoration. In fact she got nerved since her abilities couldn't even heal Ichigo's bankai and Tsukushima got buffed in order to manipulate someone's past so Orihime can heal the damage. The only arc Uryu was relevant was relevant was the Bount arc.

Personally I do enjoy the arc, sure it has it's problems, but certaintly no where near the worst I have seen, I think people just judged it on face value like when the characters got beaten in fights easily, but then, what series doesn't have that. As for what changes I'd include, I would have to say the ending does need improving, maybe give some more closure to characters such as isshin and toshiro. Also more extended fight scenes. Also, yeah, have to agree with you the sternritter need more screentime.
I definitely agree that Bleach fans came to like this ending more and more as time passed. But the fact of the matter is that there was an initial negative reaction the moment it ended, and people still have these legitimate concerns even now.
1:51 I greatly disagree on Orihime. This arc is one of the most important arcs for her, where she displays her development to its peak. Her conclusion is impeccable. Which I know you touch on later, I just personally feel like this is the most important moment in her entire character as it's what her entire story was leading to
I totally agree. But between her introduction in this arc, that moment at the camp, and her moment in the final battle, it just feels like she didn’t actually do a lot this arc. Again, definitely a better job than with Chad. Just wish she had contributed more to the plot on top of the character growth we got.

I'm sorry but...what? Maybe my memory isn't all that great, but I don't remember Orihime doing much other than throwing a barrier that one time against Ywhach. I also disagree with what he said in regards to Orihime being the character in which we see the vunerable side of Ichigo, no that was Rukia. Whenever Ichigo was at his lowest point it or something was bothering him it was Rukia that was usually Ichigo opened up to and who was there to listen to him or get him out of his funk, not Orihime. I don't recall her major development she got in this arc.
