Don’t forget to put some cheap eBay yoga blocks under the cars. It keeps the foams in the tires from breaking down prematurely. I have the same setup as you Greg and couldn’t be any happier with it.

If you are considering investing in this type of shelving check into the black powder coated version, really sharp. Also, you will definately need the shelf liners. These are big time aggravating without them.
The black racks are pretty cool! I have a silvery theme going so the Chrome worked for me.

When I redo my shop next spring will have to take a look.
I use a similar shelving system and I suggest looking into Gorilla Shelf shelf panels. They cover the slats, and I'm sure they'll have the measurements to fit your new shelves.

I used to have shelves like this for my restaurant. They assembled exactly the same way. The bad part is that are made in China and will rust. However, for radio control car storage they probably would not rust. I also found having a rubber mallet will help with assembly. Thoughts?
The only thing about storing so many RCS make sure it's not in your house or your apartment because then your place will smell like Belle Tire 🤣😆😅
Gotta use your RCs more! Get a nice coating of dirt on the tires to seal up the aroma. 😂
I think the old design was better cause now you have the cars all standing on their tires witch will with time cause them to stay flat on the point where they reach the surface of the shelf. You will have to rotate them all the time to avoid that
The old design was racks too. The cars on these shelves are often rotated so flat spots on tires or arm sagging is not an issue.
But will flat the tire!😮
Suspending the cars is another topic. You can use car stands, wooden blocks or set a reminder on your phone to rotate tires. Or you can use your RCs often. 😄

i recently had bought a new RC Traxxas C8 Corvette 4 Tec 3.0 and I ran it this afternoon at mostly half throttle and my 12 turn 550 Traxxas Titan motor got super hot off of an NiMH Traxxas battery. And of course the internet does not have very much information on why the stock motor would get super hot. Now this really concerns me.
Is this your first RC? The motors get pretty hot. Can you touch the motor or is it burning to touch? If burning, reach out to Traxxas and ask them for help. If just hotter than you like, you could install a small fan to take away some of the heat.
