I love that you understand Gon's character, they're much more than the typical shonen protagonist, its like a shonen protagonist but if they were "real" if that makes sense.
I've been watching pretty much all of your content as it's dropped since you started avatar, and each video has consistently been of the utmost quality, no exaggeration. Each time I see you've posted a new video it instantly brightens my day and I look forward to hearing your in-depth conversations about all things in life and all the interesting personal stories that you are always somehow able to connect perfectly to the shows. I also always appreciate your amusing synopses in the descriptions of each video lol. In short, I love your content. Keep doing you!
What I like about the two boys is that Gon is weaker then Killua but will go head first into danger without thought, while Killua even with all his strength backs off. They need to learn from eachother to understand the butlers message at 6:44. I wouldn’t call Gon confident, rather set to his own set of rules, once he decides to do something, he’s hyper focused.
Yeah, the arcs are carefully set up and sort of blend together. Its easy to forget because the story is so engaging, but this is also a fantastic anime adaptation.
I love the fact that Kurapika and Leorio go their separate ways to do their own thing after Gon and Killua are reunited, it makes the characters and by extension the world feel more real and alive. Specially since the series doesn’t go into a timeskip to reunite them all again inmediately. Other Shonen are simply not confident enough to separate their own main cast… but in HxH almost every major character could become a protagonist of their own story.
I remember the guess who has the coin scene fondly because i somehow managed to guess everytime where the coin was except the last coin where it was the guy behind gon. To this day im shocked at how i pulled that off 😅
Ok I think I figured it out. He obviously cares about Killua and that's great. I think it's 2 things: 1) the hostility 2) the hiding things from Killua. I sympathize with his motivation, but personally hate it when people think that doing what's best for me, even if they're right, means minimizing my available information about my choices. Part of caring also means respecting someone's ability to know and choose, even if you don't always like the outcome
@@AGoodwinTV hmm yeah denying someone agency can be really off-putting, especially when they leverage the claim of caring so deeply for that person as if it justifies superseding their right to choose for them self. hehe I just found it funny how you got a little flared every time he was on screen but I do get it :D
Lol i hope youre ready for the amount of new info you're about to get about the world and power scaling, id say hxh has one of the most complex and indepth power system in anime. Good luck
I don't think that, he's nailed most characters motivations, for some Alex is just cautious from all of the other anime characters that have burned him haha

Definitely so real. A real child and a real genius child.
No one managed to get Gon’s character in all reactions I’ve ever seen. Ur def the most character focused reactor.

truth!
MAN. you are asking all the right questions about Gon. Arcs going forward will be so good

SPOILERS for heavens arena
We see a similar thing later when Wing blasts them with nen and Killua jumps to the corner of the room.

An eye opening episode for Gon.. Was that pun intentional 😂
Yes I always keep one eye open for relevant puns
Ah, the eye swelling cut
I should pick up the show and my reaction- watching back up
We're about to get into my second favourite arc soon!!
You’re from New York? Me too!
Yup I grew up in the Bronx :)
@@AGoodwinTV This explains a LOT 😯
Oh! I always wanted to see a reaction to the York New City part from a New-Yorker it's gonna be fun!!! ^^
@@AGoodwinTV Grew up in Brooklyn and Staten Island here.
I think you're going to continue to find Gon and Killua really interesting!
You are very distrusting and fearful of life, implicitly yourself. ;))
nice
I wonder what it is about Gotoh that gets under your skin so much :D

Haha thanks, I just finished the tournament arc but loving nen so far. But yeah it's a lot
Right, I considered taking notes while watching this arc, lol.
@@AGoodwinTV you've only learnt the basics of nen so far in the heavens arena arc lol , I'm glad to hear you like it so far
It seems like you are a poor judge of character with this anime haha
😂
