Tragic and terrifying. I was once caught in a crowd crush at a concert. Hundreds of people seemed to surge forward at the same time, bodies pressed together, and I was trapped near the stage. No one can hear you scream, and no one would be able to do anything about it even if they could. Sending heartfelt condolences to all the families and friends who were impacted by this tragic event.
People were trying so hard to revive others. This was such a tragedy. Our deepest condolences to the friends and families of the deceased. We also pray for complete recovery for the injured. Blessings from the USA.
the moment the guy in tears started talking about he tried to tell people not to go in that direction because people were dying, i also started to cry.
I'd like to express my deepest condolences to the victims and their families. Most of the people there were in their late teens and twenties, and it is heartbreaking to hear that they died of crowd crush at such an early age. Even at non-official events, a system to control crowds needs to be established.
Yes, hopefully next yr they will enforce many rules. May God help the young Koreans in korea. It is alright to be concern or not know about what happens after this life. Fortunately there's a way to not suffer, not be in danger, not be poor, not get hurt, not have to work in vain, not have to feel any kind of negative vibe, and not to get tired anymore. Imagine you will be invincible, immortal, and holy with a new, upgraded body to the core! Imagine everyone around you will be the same as you. Isn't that a delightful thought? It's true you or anyone can have eternal life. All you got to do is to accept Jesus Christ 🙏 as your Savior! Once you do, He will let you into heaven during your day when you finally see Him!
My son lives in Seoul. I visited him in 2019 and visited this area. Thankfully after hours of not knowing he contacted me to inform he was safe and had stayed home that evening to do some work. He is a professor at a University in Seoul. 🙏that none of his students are among the young lives lost
I was in Itaewon a few hours before this took place. I got separated from my friends because of the huge crowd at that time. Everybody pushing each other as people from opposing lines tried to work their way through. I knew then that if I fell, I would be dead as people would trample me. It was obvious from the huge crowd when I was there that people were going to get hurt. And that was 4 hours before. There wasn’t enough support until it was too late. And I really mourn for the victims, their family, and their friends who desperately tried to resuscitate them.
Sorry you had to experience that so closely that sounds really scary. Glad you managed to get out safely. Seems like a really unfortunate situation and my condolences to everyone affected.
He was one of the first on the scene as it unfolded and he witnessed first responders attempting to save 100s of lives. In his initial reports you could see he was struggling to hold back tears.
The line of people doing CPR just broke me. I am praying for everyone who attended that event and their friends and family. What a horrible, needless tragedy.
@A A i thought about this as asian parents are known for strictness how did many 20s went there maybe because they just crossed their drinking ban age drinking is getting worse habit in korea they think it as a culture people dancing infront of ambulance drunk jesus i can't even think how inhuman are they i think korea must ban bars during festives or events for safety purpose they can even celebrate at home ... Lack of self awareness was the problem
@@KIQ0000 this could also be explained by asiatic teengers and their irresponsible behavior when it comes to k pop idols or music industry "idols" which they are obssessed with because of their meaningless lives There re many things that could explain that tragedy but most comes from this insane frenzy created by korean music industry or showbizz ,they created these fake idols ,full of make up and plastic surgery image which fascinated many teengers and young asian people because..i dont want to be mean, but this is the truth and there is more hurting truth about korean and asiatic societies but i will stop here.

Deepest condolences to the families of those that never came home. I walked the streets of Itaewon just three nights ago and I cannot believe this tragedy in an otherwise beautiful vibrant part of Seoul.
I offer my deepest condolences to the victims and their families. My heart goes out to the families that have lost loved ones in this tragedy. I hope people will be alerted by this incident.

I’ve been in crowds like this at 4th of July celebrations on the national mall when The Beach Boys were playing when I was a teenager . I remember the crowd being so tight that I just could not breath & having to turn my head toward the sky and repeatedly jumping up as high as I could to get my mouth and nose above the people to try and get a breath of air. It’s a frightening position to be in. I’m so sorry for those who lost loved ones.
Wow. My son's there for college and told me this morning that the word on the street there was that the crowd shifted when some K-pop celebrity emerged from a bar.... That's just what he said; he said celebrity culture there is off the charts.
Always a bad idea to go to crowds. A concert ,a celebration, a beach party, or a mall madness sale. 1st prize is danger. 2nd prize is you'll look like rats
@@ForeverSweetx3 To me that is the best area to be in at Metal shows. The areas a few feet away are the worst since those people dont want to be in the moshpit move back to get away from being hit and push against those trying to get closer to the stage. I found the pit to be the best place to be but I'm into that. When I was 17 (50now) one of my first show I went to a crowd surge was happening and it was hard to stay afoot. The whole Astroword event in Houston reminded me how close it could have been to being a tragedy.
I spent 7 years in Korea. As much as I feel for all that were lost in this incident, the government and culture are careless and reckless about safety. The sinking of the Sewol should have been a big wake-up call but a year later I worked at a university with all the fire exits chained shut. My complaints about this were wholly dismissed. If a fire inspector from say, New York or London were to walk around Itaewon they would find tens of thousands of dangerous violations, not nit-picky issues like businesses would be fined for in New York or London. The same situation would be replicated anywhere in the country. Firedoors that won't close all the way or are made of plastic panels, no fire extinguishers, raw electrical wiring exposed on exterior walls, chained exits in packed stadiums, dorms, hotels, nightclubs, etc. Until the government actually gets serious about safety and writing substantial fines instead of casually ignoring safety (ie taking bribes or just being bullied by wealthy property owners) I can't imagine this will be the last mass death or "terrible accident"
I have heard that Korea has a lot of problems and it seems like safety is one of them. It’s a shame people have to die for others to realize their is a problem.
I haven't been to South Korea, but I lived in Japan, and I think there was a general disregard for the strangers' personal space + a lot of ancient narrow streets that are overcrowded on any day, not just a public holiday. Once we were to a lantern festival or something like that in a part of Tokyo where the streets were really broad and nice, traffic had been blocked, people were sitting on the road and sidewalk, and there was a lot of crowd control. But as soon as the event was over, they started herding us like sheep only in one direction, half of the street width-wise was now blocked with police vans, then they suddenly created a very narrow bottleneck on a big intersection, everything became super slow. Some policemen were standing on the roofs of their vans and screamed at the crowd. I really felt like a farm animal. I couldn't understand at all why they made such decisions, why a huge chunk of the street was blocked by police cars. It wasn't close to stampede, it was just incredibly slow even though the crowd wasn't that huge. It didn't seem like they were trying to count the attendants. It was simply absurd and surreal and a huge waste of everyone's time.
I am unable to forget this tragedy. For years, I have had a fear of crowds due to a bad experience at a concert in a festival. I was standing close to the stage, and the people behind me started pushing forward, trapping us against the barriers in front. The crowd panicked, and the mass of people started moving from left to right, front to back, and in all directions. It was something uncontrollable. A friend of mine fell and broke her leg. When I managed to lift her off the ground, fortunately, the security guards began pulling people out of there by their arms, including us. They got us out, and an ambulance had to come to attend to several injured people. It's a feeling of loss of control and impending death that I wouldn't wish upon anyone. If you see that the situation is becoming overwhelming, flee from there.
My heart hurts for those people that lost their lives, the families of the deceased, the injured, everyone that had to experience this tragedy. May God bless everyone, hoping that the people that are missing will be found. Praying for them all.
I agree with your words - but would you think that there was foul play involved? especially as SK is in pretty rough times - 153 people doesn't seem right, think about that number played out in tangible figures, something must have been very off with everyone. just my speculation tho
I feel deeply sorry and appreciate the people who helped them even in a horrendous situation. Please do NOT leave any hateful comments on such young souls, nor rumors. Rest in peace.

4 of the dead were 10 year olds. Korea issues ID cards at age 17, so having a hard time identifying the deceased. They just wanted an evening of fun Absolutely terrible.
@Real Aiglon when you use terms like virtue signaling, you give away the fact that you think having empathy and caring about others is somehow a bad thing. Why do you advertise the fact that you lack empathy for others? I’d be embarrassed of such statements if I were you!
What a terrible tragedy. My heart goes out to the families who have lost their loved ones and those who witnessed this incident. Thank you to everyone who tried to save lives. I hope this changes protocol in South Korea to increase safety in crowd management and help protect people from this sort of death.
They better stop celerating Halloween. It's damn old Anglo Saxon tradition. Celebrating it, it's like embracing the Devils, the Evils, the Criminals. Villains. The Darkness. Bad souls. Eventually they will be Massive Crowd Control in Christmas Season.
Oh give me a break, what about the crowd crush and bottle neck of the Jewish people that happened during prayer event last year. Didn't anyone learn from that, or the one before that. Stupid!!
This is heartbreaking honestly, for those who wanted their loved ones to enjoy the day but didn’t come back, I can’t even imagine how heartbreaking that feels. Praying for the families in sorrow and grief. Praying for the teens and youth that faced such a horrific sight. I pray people are put out of harms way and the investigations led to a change. Sending much love and prayers to the people in South Korea and international people that have been affected❤
A dude with nail polish is all you need to see. “Celebrating Halloween” and going to trendy places. I had no clue South Korea has become so much like us in the west. So much vanity it literally got them killed. Sad.
It's even worse knowing that in those 153 deaths there is a high chance that there are also small kids who were also just wanted to have a fun Halloween night with their parents or their older siblings. Excitement leads to arrogance, and curiosity leads to stupidity.
Oh my god. I just heard about this in the UK. I literally just came here from the documentary on the Love Parade disaster, its shocking and so so tragic. Seoul is a beautiful city and South Korea such a beautiful country that I feel so privileged to have visited, and I'm heartbroken for all involved. My heart goes out to all of the victims, their loved ones and families. I've been in two crushes, one of which was coincidentally in an underground nightclub in Seoul in 2012. It was terrifying. You couldn't breathe, couldn't move, were just swept along and praying for fresh air and no stampede. Again this was so small scale in comparison but I was so scared at the time. The other crush was in London and my friend and I were lifted off our feet, screamed with dozens of others that we were being crushed and couldn't breathe. Thank god we were noticed fairly quickly by the police and stewards amd they forced the entering crowds backwards to create space. I toom maybe minutes but felt like hours and my friend and I were covered in bruises from our backs and ribs being crushed. Idk about my friend but I have lasting mental scars from that day. I'm still so afraid of dense crowds and have to scout out quick-exit points before a festival, parade etc.
As a Korean, I hope that many other people learn from this tragic event that anything can happen at any time. I pray for all people who were part of this tragic incident and people who have to go through the pain for the loss of their family/friend.
@@Kelly_Yamaguchi_95 According to several local pedestrians, some young men among the crowd started pushing people downwards for whatever reason, and told others to do the same. People who were about to be stampeded or crushed to death at the slope started screaming "뒤로! 뒤로!" That means "Step backwards!" However, some misheard that as "밀어! 밀어!" which sounds similar but means "Keep pushing!" There are yet just as many rumors as confirmed facts of this incident. We can only hope that details of what went wrong; who exactly started squeezing the crowd; and why will be uncovered... I still can't believe it.
It is my prayer Halloween will be banned. It is not good festival. I wish people to research the meaning. Of Halloween and the spiritual implications. I watch so many kdrama and loving South Korea and culture hoping to visit one day. Am very sad honestly at what has happened. I have prayed.
We were always taught to assess our surroundings and to not put ourselves at risk. The whole situation was an accident waiting to happen. We know what went wrong but all we can do now is learn from it. Condolences to all who lost someone.
The events are a lot of fun. At outdoor carnevals and concerts we need to be watchful too. Too many people in one spot, best to not go, even if it does look like fun.
I got caught in a human stampede visiting the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree. There was nothing I could do but try to keep my balance going with the flow of the crowd. My friend was totally swept away, however, I did find him later way down the block. It was a really scary experience. Condolences to all affected by this tragedy. Sending love from America.
After the Travis Scott tragedy that happened last year, I refuse to go in tight areas of people with no escape. I was in a night club last month and my friend and I made it to the bar to wait for a drink and when I turned around, I started panicking because I couldn’t move. It was like this small club added 50 more people while I had my back turned lol I was out of there
How sad! These are all good people and most of them young. Personally I hate being in crowds. Korea people are kind and considerate and very polite. This is a tragedy.
I don't know know. I don't feel sorry for them at all! I feel like this is a dumb way to die! Because traditionally Halloween are supposed to be the day of the dead. In Mexico and in the Philippines. During Halloween everyone go to the cemeteries to gather and pay respects to their love ones while in America we celebrate Halloween for fun and mockery? Come on now! 🤦♂️🤦♂️

This Halloween festival in Itaewon was more difficult to control because it was a festival without organizers. People only believed in each other's civic consciousness and participated in the festival. It was also an accident that occurred because most people did not properly recognize the topographical elements of Itaewon. It would have been a little less dangerous if it was flat, but the slope was quite high, so if one floor collapsed, it was a terrain that had no choice but to collapse altogether. As a Korean living in Korea, it is very unfortunate that this situation has occurred, and I think it is necessary to properly recognize and cope with how great a catastrophe such as this excessive concentration can lead to in the future In addition, other countries should refer to this and pay attention to this Halloween festival to prevent other accidents
I'm so sorry for the loss in your country! Please don't take this wrong but, yes it was organized. Halloween is Satan's holiday, we need to stop celebrating his day. He is rejoicing that he thinks he's won the battle. He will loose on judgment day. For now though, he is in charge of this world and this horrible event is a message from him. Stay strong in our lord Jesus christ
I don't have the words to describe how heartbreaking this is. My sincerest sympathies to all those affected by these senseless losses. I am sending love and healing prayers to all.
I had a friend, in Iran, and once he experienced a crowd crush. He told that we couldn't breathe, it was like there was no oxygen in the air. I cannot imagine how much they were shocked those terrible moments. I express my solidarity with Korean people. From Iran.
"As people struggle to get up, arms and legs get twisted together. Blood supply starts to be reduced to the brain," G. Keith Still, a visiting professor of crowd science at the University of Suffolk in England, told NPR after the Astroworld crowd surge in Houston last November. "It takes 30 seconds before you lose consciousness, and around about six minutes, you're into compressive or restrictive asphyxia. That's a generally the attributed cause of death - not crushing, but suffocation." But it seems that crushing did happen in Itaewon.
Oh man. Beyond heartbreaking. My heart goes out to their families, friends, all who knew them. Those who were affected by this, will never forget. I hope they get the care they need to get through this traumatizing event. Hopefully this celebration doesn't continue anymore. It's not worth a life being lost especially over the lack of crowd control.
Man I couldn’t imagine being in a large crowd of people like that my claustrophobia would kick in immediately. My prayers go out to the victims and their family.
I've been in one. It happens so fast you barely have time to react. You'll be in your own space chilling and then within 5-10 minutes it gets so crowded you can barely move. Many people got stuck and got taken with the flow of the crowd. It's quite horrifying.
@Alex Abd Seriously? People aren't there to cast spells or celebrate evil. It's an appropriated celebration from the West where people dressed up in costumes and are just there to have fun and party. It's crazy that your mind is set on this negativity while 100s of innocent revelers passed away. Tbh, you having no sympathy to these victims is evil itself, while you sit here criticising the evils of Halloween. The irony.
I have always instinctively avoided crowds because I'm an introvert and don't like the noise and chaos of crowds, but this is another reason to be wary. When crowds are gathered, go the opposite way. Don't try to squeeze through, stay on the outside. You're not missing anything and likely saving your own life.
My condolences to all the families affected by this incident 😭 I experience this kind of crowd before, and its really hard to breath once stuck in the middle and anxieties could go over your system, feeling you'll lose consciousness anytime.

This kind of event for some reason continues to occur all over the world. For some reason people often do not consider such crowds a risk until it is too late. As a child I was caught in a crowd surge as we were leaving a football game in Baltimore. It was like the whole stadium was trying to exit by one narrow passage leading to a gate. It was terrifying as I could see ahead where people were falling and being trampled. I was saved by a guy who was hanging from a metal link fence and pulling people up onto the fence. I don’t know about any deaths but I saw a lot of ambulances. Subsequently I never get in the middle or in anyway confined by a large crowd. I hope schools, churches everywhere are talking about this because ultimately you are responsible for your own safety. Obviously there needs to be crowd control but you cannot count on it and sometimes that can even be the problem. My condolences to all the families who have lost loved ones in this tragedy.
Exactly! They aren't thinking! And why is it that Asia never seems to have crowd control?! Something like this happened there before too! This is not the first time! I avoid crowds at all times! I always stand way back in the back, to get a head start on my run if need be.

When I was in my teens and 20’s I used to hate the way cops would make the crowds keep it moving at parades and events in NYC. I used to hate those metal connectable railings they started using after they stopped using the wooden horse ones that you get passed, because it all felt like your being cattle herded and funnels into different areas, but I see point in it now.
My hearts goes out to the family and friends of those who died in this tragedy. Things have gotten out of hand with the Halloween crowds not just in Seoul but also in Shibuya, Tokyo (this has become an increasing phenomenon and some can say it's become like the Mardis Gras of East Asia, people traveling all over the world to celebrate Halloween in Seoul and Tokyo) and I traveled internationally a few years ago to experience it and it was incredibly crowded. It's one thing to see crowds in a more open space of an intersection (ie. Shibuya Crossing), but the idea of getting stuck near narrow alley way breaks my heart. I actually have been worried about this prior to the pandemic, seeing Halloween crowds constantly increasing year after year and was worried how things would be this year. A heartbreaking tragedy.

@@deeb.9250 Doubtful it'll be cancelled indefinitely. Maybe next year it might be, but after that it'll still draw crowds. The difference will be a necessary placement of police or, if it's an actual event organized by others, it'll have coordinators as well. It'll be extremely unlikely this goes on without laws being created/changed to prevent it in the future, but there will still be crowds. Remember that if people on the outer parts of it saw the chaos before anyone died and thought it would be a good thing to join in, they're probably not going to be deterred from doing the same thing in the future.
To answer the lady anchor's last question... Halloween is not a generally celebrated holiday in Korea at all. It is something that was introduced by Americans and other foreigners to the Itaewon area. Itaewon has, for decades, been a hub for foreigners living in Korea, likely dating back to the Korean war when a lot of American soldiers were living in Korea. It is also a popular hub for the LGBTQ+ community, likely due to the fact that there is more support for gay Koreans by foreigners than by citizens of the still generally conservative country. Itaewon has a huge partying and clubbing scene as well. Considering all this, you could imagine that Halloween is something that essentially is only celebrated in this area of Seoul. You would not see costumes or the celebration of Halloween in much other areas in Seoul. With the growing popularity of Halloween in Itaewon over the years, along with the exposure of the celebration through popular k-dramas such as "Itaewon Class," you could imagine with the Covid restrictions no longer in effect, how many people are drawing to that area, essentially the only area in Korea that celebrates Halloween, for a fun night of dressing up and partying. It is understandable that people were drawn there in huge numbers, but it is completely tragic, heartbreaking, and regretful to think of why there weren't more precautions in place. May the victims rest in peace.
How can you say rest in peace. Peace is found only from JESUS and Halloween is of the devil. So Satan had his ways. No rejoicing in my heart is just facts of the deceiver one,

Ever since I was a little kid my mom always warned me to get out of an area where you feel that crowds are rising as if theres no space to move and you fall down you’ll be crushed and will have no room to breathe… I never understood how this could happen as “Why would people step on you? Or wouldn’t they move if you fell ? “ but now I do… its terrifying to think the panic the victims and everyone there felt when this all went down… deepest condolences to everyone affected Edit- when I say “now I do” I meant that now I know that it’s inevitable and nobody does it on purpose
Well in the mids of excitement, drinks, sugar rush people intend to forgot and notice their surroundings and when someone had realize their situation that triggers the panic and their fear rises so they move in uncontrollable ways without calming they just wanna get out that they couldnt notice they step on somebody or they stumble. Rip and condolence to their families
All it takes is one or two people slipping or falling in a crowded small space and then those behind them try to suddenly stop and backup to let these who fell get up and that sudden stop of the crowd causes more people behind them to fall back like domino's and then the fall and crush begins. Especially as here there was a steep hill above them, it's possible that the people at the top continued to press forward not realizing people were piling down below.
People don’t try to step on others on purpose. They can’t move either because of the crowd some people are aware that they are stepping on someone but there is nothing that they can do. They have to follow the flow of the crowd or they could fall as well.

Terry, that was the arc I was on. Right around 50 years old, my extreme empathy become so unbearable I noticed that I stopped feeling, as a means of survival. I turned 60 last month, and I realized I had to give myself the gift of mental health. I've consciously had to work on unfreezing myself in the last year. It's tough since our social fabric is decaying and it hurts my heart. One thing that makes It much easier to stay positive is when I do not watch any news. I'm swearing off all news videos after Jan 1. I don't need to know about this situation in Korea really It doesn't affect my day-to-day life if I don't know it, and knowing it just makes me feel like a lead balloon. In Korea, Halloween events of a larger scale were held in Itaewon in 2017 and 2018, but there was no such disaster because police were deployed at that time. I'm sorry why we didn't place it this fiscal year.
As a Korean, I'm heartbroken. So many people who should be having a fun day out for Halloween, couldn't come back home. Horrible scenes of this tragedy will haunt me for a long time. My deepest sympathy and condolences to the families, friends, and relatives of the victims.
@𒂢 I feel a time like this is not the time to say these things even if you believe it may be for social reasons! you don't know for what reason this might have struck a chord with someone! For instance, many people suffer from Anxiety, and this situation could be something that often plays in their minds and now has become a reality! I've experienced someone harm me before and i get triggered by the news and can relate to or feel distressed through similar situations. So many people are so careless about others these days, let's not dampen those who show some care and emotion towards others :)
There are lots of tight alleys in Thailand, where I am. In the past I have refused to go into a venue because it looked too crowded. People don't understand how risky it is being in a dense crowd with limited exit options.
I'm praying for the beautiful souls that were lost and the families who are left in devastation with the loss of their beloved. Please know that the world is mourning with you and sending you our support
Yes. Same here It is alright to be concern or fear of death. It's alright to not fear death as well. This is heartbreaking, it's one of the reasons I very rarely go out on very busy nights out, on the few occasions when I went out for busier occasions such as New Year's when I was younger, I hated the crowds so much that I never did it again (and those crowds were nothing like this), I can't imagine how scared those poor people must have been, such an awful tragedy :(
Please avoid going to crowded place or anything that may involve high security like for celebrity as there is a big chance of mishaps... It's wise to enjoy at the comfort of you home with frnds and family
This is soooo sad. I remember several years back hearing of the Sewol Ferry disaster that tragically took the lives of many young teens and adults and now this, another deadly incident taking more lives of young teens and adults. Breaks my heart. My heart will always be with you SK. My prayers are with you. ❤️❤️❤️
How come whenever 'fake Korean conservative party'' come to power, every time Korea has a ''large-scale 'mass catastrophe' that only kills the young generation???" the whole nation should think seriously!!!!! *Park Geun-hye killed 340 young students from the 2014 Sewol Ferry drowned in the sea~ * In 2022 Yun Seok-ryeol- the world mockery killed the 200+ young people in their 10s and 20s in Itaewon were crushed and killed Isn't it strange!????
Years and years ago I was in a large, city street Halloween party when a medical emergency required an emergency vehicle to drive right through the most dense crowd that was filling the street. The emergency vehicle put the crowd mass over the limit and I experienced a nearly uniform pressure from the crowd that made it difficult to breathe. You can't push back against it. My heart goes out to the victims.
Seoul police chief authority and even the mayor of Seoul MUST resign for sure for not properly doing their job in this incident. Korea is safe in terms of violent crimes and theft but not when it comes to public safety issues, it has a poor record. Korean authority should have learned their lessons from the ferry accident that happened in 2014 which killed over three hundred people This is beyond horrific but could have easily been avoided if the authorities had some crowd control measure in place. It is not that difficult. They just needed some police to guide the traffic flow and make sure not too many people were allowed to enter into very narrow alleyways. Why is this so hard and complicated?? What the FUCK were they thinking by letting and watching hundreds of thousands of people into those compact places?????? Words can't describe how upsetting this is for someone like myself who loves Korea very much and who has also been to this place many times before. My thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families. R.I.P!!
My sincerest condolences from Poland. 🕯💔 As an introvert, I`m not even able to imagine what these people might feel when they were trapped in an ordinary alley lined with a sea of people... who literally squeezed to the point of breathlessness. Absolutely terrifying. Koreans are a very intelligent nation, I hope this situation will bring some changes that will be adapted all over the World. Such events, filled with such a huge number of people, must be better monitored for the safety of participants. As you can see, not only gatherings at concerts are dangerous when it isn`t possible to escape, withdraw or outrun the crowd. May the sudden death of these people not be in vain.

In a country aboundant with old people, where the young are "priceless" since the old keep getting older and the young decide to not have kids, this is catastrophic. They want the young to take care of the old but they do not show any care or protect the mental health or the physical health like in this case of the young. This should not have happened.

Preach!!! It’s so pathetic that the government still hasn’t woken up to the fact that their lack of safety enforcement leads to all these deaths.
You mean like when hurricane Katrina happened in Louisiana? You have no idea what you are talking about.
@@Sara-et4et No it doesn't. He has no idea what he is talking about.

As a Korean living in Korea, it is very unfortunate that this situation has occurred, and I think it is necessary to properly recognize and cope with how great a catastrophe such as this excessive concentration can lead to in the future
In addition, other countries should refer to this and pay attention to this Halloween festival to prevent other accidents

I think Halloween will be canceled indefinitely in Korea from now on... it's a party holiday in Asia, not a real holiday

Rip and condolence to their families
@@realstory77 Why are you posting that on this news story?
My condolences to the victims and to all the families and friends who lost a loved one.

Truth.
Yeah a person is smart, people are dumb af.
ive been in crowds like this at concerts and the feeling of being crushed is no joke. its so helpless like your frozen and youre just flowing in a sea of bodies, its terryifing
So not a single one was resuscitated?

My heart aches for the families and friends of the victims in this horrific tragedy 😢
@@bettercallseoul1504 mmm why
My condolences to their families. What a tragedy.
Please stay safe everyone.
In a country aboundant with old people, where the young are "priceless" since the old keep getting older and the young decide to not have kids, this is catastrophic. They want the young to take care of the old but they do not show any care or protect the mental health or the physical health like in this case of the young. This should not have happened.
From Argentina, my condolences to the people of Korea.
I'm so sorry this has happened. My heartfelt thoughts go to every family and all the friends of people who were affected by this tragedy.
Get lost, keyboard warrior. You aren't sorry about anything, in reality. It really pisses me off to see people these days typing 'My heart goes to Ukraine', 'I am sooo sorrryyy' blah blah blah...when deep down inside these people desire for chaos, destruction and war. If you are indeed sorry, no need to type in here and act like a Martin Luther King. Go find some useful stuff to do.

@@alrabbi6194 And what gives you the right to think, for one minute, that people responding to any tragedy, be it Ukraine, this terrible event in S. Korea or any other disaster, are insincere or not doing anything concrete to alleviate the suffering? Grow up! Instead of criticising well-meaning people, find a way to harness their emotions (for example). Set up a charity, or something! But please, please stop criticising people you don't know and whose actions you have no knowledge of. I, for one, am doing something concrete in that I'm accommodating a Ukrainian refugee. What are YOU doing?
Some peopledon't have the means to do anything concrete, but they're allowed to express their sympathy and nobody, not even YOU can take that expression of sympathy away from them.
I'll tell you another thing: if you lost a daughter, son, parent, friend or anyone else dear to you in a tragedy like this and nobody even commented on it, you'd be the first person to decry the lack of empathy.
I hear the devastation in the news reporters voice and being on the scene and seeing everything must be difficult. Truly heartbreaking 🥺
they're used to that. they don't care
It's effed up that it sounds like he enjoys saying, " and they NEVER........ came home."
Prayers out to the family , friends , and people who went thru this horror.
To the people of South Korea, and their families please know people around the world are thinking of you. My sincere condolences

It’s heartbreaking… I can not believe this happened here, Seoul.
Most of the casualties were in their 20s. Among them are those who were about to enjoy the festival for the first time as a freshman, those who were about to get a job in Seoul and enjoy Halloween, those who celebrated their birthdays, and those who support their families alone. I can’t believe this brutal disaster happened on public roads. It literally shouldn't have happened.
My deepest condolences to all the dead.
Sorry to hear. It must be difficult. I can't help, but I pray Jesus Christ will help the young people living in korea.

This is sad! That’s why I am afraid of crowded events and tend to stay to the side! Who goes out to have fun and would expect this to happen! But it does happen sadly! My heart goes out to the family and friends and my deepest compassion and condolences! Hugs and love to all suffering the loss!
