I just bought a kit from candlescience for $61 and includes a glass thermometer, wick holders, and all the same stuff in your kit, BUT tins instead of those gorgeous vessels. Free shipping as well. Wonderful, honest review and admission of your own errors.
You can add the fragrance oil at a higher temperature than the flashpoint as that is the temperature it will ignite with a naked flame so the wax temp won’t affect it. It’s only really important for transporting and if making gel candles. Great video though 😊 x

I only use American Soy Organics wax to make my candles. Best wax I have ever used, hands down. Really really good customer service and they have 2 website with awesome information and a fragrance/wax calculator that comes in very handy 😊.
It is crazy that they only have you fill them half way when they give you plenty of wax.

I love Freedom Wax I've been using it since August 2023. With my experience with this wax I have to let the candles cool slowly. Or I will get frosting or the wax pulls away from the glass or sink holes. Which I hardly get anymore. I do use a heat gun as you suggested to make the top smooth. Great video thanks!

The flash point isn’t the temp you add the fragrance at. Your wax should tell you what temp. Soy is generally 175-185 . Flash point is for shipping

Mine gets covered in soap oils because I keep asking Siri to do my math for me. I’m good at some things, math is not one of them. 😂

Could it be that by 1 cup they meant 8 oz in weight? That probably would've given you a full candle. Wax and FO is usually measured by weight on a scale.

I wonder if they meant one cup as in using the candle container as a cup? That’s so strange that they would give inaccurate directions when there’s a massive bag of wax. Anyways, I always look forward to watching your videos!
