I really enjoyed watching this ct70 series. Hope there is more to come alltho hard to beat that 212cc setup. Well gues one could go DOHC or something high end. Unless there is a bolt-on turbo-kit for that one which I doubt.
I'd love to be able to fit that engine on my XL70 or even my SL70, but, I think the head and cylinder are too wide for the down tubes. Another great video, Patrick. Thanks, my friend.
You can squeeze a little more hp out if you port and polish the head even if you don't swap it along with port matching every thing to match like intake head carb and exhaust. I'd even say new exhaust if that's the original style exhaust pipe the 212 is push alot more air out over stock a stock header most likely will restrict the air flow. They also have a adjustable cdi box it's a Daytona option racing part you can also use ceramic back wheel bearings and a direct drive wheel hub in stead of the kush drive wheel set up also will help if the trial 70 uses it in it wheel set up. There definitely was a hp increase when this was done to a grom set up it was very similar to your bike set up it also was redyno after these changes there was a increase of hp after they did these changes were made . The most iv seen a built Daytona 212 dyno at was 28 whp all motor thats quite a bit of power for a relatively small engine in my opinion also if I remember right the guy said it would do low to mid 80s mph I'm not to familiar with a trail. I'm a grom and mini gp moto bike ohvale gp both also fit the zs and Daytona engines. 💯👍✌️
I run 17/32 on my 125cc Icebear Champion, with 4.00x10 tires. I’m not sure how it would affect your dyno numbers, but with a 212cc and 12” tires, I’d probably run 18/32. I would think that gearing will make it more enjoyable to ride on the street.
I don't think an 18T counter will fit without clearancing the case. With the 17T she's just clearing by a hair with the chain on. With the change to 17T and keeping the 35T rear it's a lot more manageable than it was. We'll see, I still have the 33T I could throw on it.
@@southeastvintagecyclerescue I put an 18t on the 125cc, in the ST90, that I’m riding to W.V. I had to make a little clearance on the stator cover. I’m running 18/37 with 14” tires on that bike. I’m taking a 16t and a 17t with me, just in case the W.V. hills are a little too much for the 18. 🤣
@@southeastvintagecyclerescue I believe so as far as camshaft upgrades but I don't see too many.. but if you get the head you have to replace the piston w the 4v because of the valve reliefs
Daytona swap to the 4v head and cam you can use the jug but piston swap needed . You can also go fuel injection but quite of bit of parts are needed .🤑🫡💯👍✌️
That sounds so bad ass!
Thanks!

Thanks for checking out the series. I still plan to do a top speed run video. And then who knows, maybe a 4 valve head. Turbo might be interesting...
Lol, thanks for the feature!! And for keeping it real! Love that CT!
I guess you found the nugget 🙂
It sounds so naughty 😁 I like the new decals!
She was rowdy today. I was running VP 110 race fuel in it. 😀
What a super cool bike!
Thank you!

Yeah, I don't think the 212 would fit.
@@southeastvintagecyclerescue I didn't think it would, but I can always dream.
Curious what top speed you're getting out on the roads riding the CT?
I haven't actually checked top speed yet. There's another video coming on that.

So, you bought the SCL500 right 😛😛😛
I''m about this "." close to buying one.

Thanks for watching ! Hope you enjoyed the video.
I was your 70th like. Lol
Congrats!!! Thanks for checking out the video.
I'm 60 and my neighbor had a Honda 70 ,when we were kids. Yours is bad a**.

You're not running an oil cooler?? Be nice should try a Daytona 4v head see if it will pick up little bit more power.. I have yet to put mine on
No oil cooler yet. I have thought about the 4V head. Also wondering if anyone makes a performance camshaft for these?
@@southeastvintagecyclerescue I believe so as far as camshaft upgrades but I don't see too many.. but if you get the head you have to replace the piston w the 4v because of the valve reliefs

I wonder if the fuel injection would really make any more HP?
@southeastvintagecyclerescue it definitely be able to dial it in with a programmer ecu and air fuel ratio.
