Now he needs to pull that lifan out of the garbage and see if it can be fixed lol. That would be a challenge after all the torture they did to that thing.
I agree and love it!! If Sean had created Mt Rushmore, Craig would make us proud and hand-chisel Moe, Larry, Curly and Shemp up thar. 😳 You can't unsee it............Nyuck, Nyuck Nyuck!! 🤣
I love you started a channel! Bike rebuilds are my favorite and love that is 1-2 videos per bike instead of 20 videos like other creators. Each video is like “clutch lever install”, next video we’ll do footpegs 😂
Thanks for saving this historical bike. Not many left like this. And this bikes only going up in value. This bike was called the bone breaker in the 90s.
NEW to this channel and absolutely love it. I've bought/restored about a dozen garage find bikes over the last many years, and I can truly relate. Thanks for the fun watch!
I owned one of these, I gave it to my son…it was truly a monster! Wish I still had it! As always, too much fun Craig…! Congratulations on your success!
Occasionally, on Facebook marketplace, I see these old bikes for sale. It makes me think about what you guys do and how fun it would be. And then reality hits and I remember I have an 06 road king sitting in the garage covered with my daughters toys.
Your Can I make it run and drive it back home videos are honestly some of the most enjoyable stuff on youtube. I imagine they can sometimes be rather painful to make but boy, if that's not something amazing to watch and relate to! Really diggin this channel (more than the other one)
I just love what you guys achieved so far, and cant wait to see what the future might hold. Iam eager to see some test rides with the relics you bring back to life. Rooting for you from Hungary
I love that you and Dan are absolutely melting but you're still so positive. You're so happy when you remember that your job as a motorcycle mechanic and RUclipsr is so fun. Great to see. Please keep this up!
These were a mule to kick over as a young teenager! Awesome bike, best sounding 2 stroke with nuts power when you opened power band. Thanks for a great video and memories 😊👍
Just hit a notification bell on a RUclips channel for the first time ever. The Bearded Mechanic is my absolute No1 channel. Keep it up, buddy. Compelling viewing.
My Dad had one of these beauty. Of course he broke is coccyx while showing off in front of his friends. First and last time I saw him fell of a bike. This bike would humble any rider, experienced ones even. Love what you're doing guys!
That this is a beast! I actually liked the Harley Frankenstein bike. But, this motor deserves to be back home. Love the content so far... You should have a million subscribers... just say'n! keep um coming.
Craig, im not a mechanic, bike enthuse or anything like that but your videos are just the most relaxing and amazing things on you tube! Ive learned so much and just love your whole character and your team. Keep being amazing !!!
when it was near the end of the video i knew there was going to be some kicking, saw those pasty white tree trunks and knew a ripped shin was on the horizon. thanks for breaking out the kickin boot!!! nice save
Used to have a cr440 my absolute favorite bike. Since then moved onto bigger things like my rocket3, but I'm always on the lookout for the old Honda dirt bikes.
Great Job Craig and uh Dan. Man that engine sounds good. I would love to have good Motorcross Bike to Ride around here. It would be fun to get on some good Trails and go for it. I’m liking you having your own Videos Craig. I really enjoy watching how you can just about Any Engine running again no matter what circumstances it’s in. Looking forward to the next one.👍👍
Well done another classic 2stroke chook chaser lives as cool and different as the other bike was good to see the 500 get her heart back good job loving your channel and content keep em coming 👍
About 45 years ago, when I was in 3rd grade, my cousin Bruce put a harley hotor in a dirt bike and took me riding. Still one of my favorite memories as a child.
I didn't see the original and got kind of mad at you talking about gutting a 500 to strap it into a Harley. Thank you for putting it back so I didn't have to be sad. I'm in NW PA and would kill to have something of that caliber to shred through the woods.
Craig, ship that thing up to Ken Kaplan at Kaplan Cycles in CT, and just sell it to them. Kaplan specializes in restoring CR’s better than anyone else, especially 500’s!
Graig is the Man if you don't know him you should!!! Srk cycles/ bikes n beards... Glad I still get to see one of ya working on bikes, guess it'll take time for Sean to get back to something... Maybe... Hopefully.... Love the bike content!!!
Another great video and nice "restoration". I had one of these monsters and it was so much fun. Show us your wheelie skills...without hurting yourself.
Metal splinters are easily removed by dragging your finger across a bench grinder wheel (not running of course) By the time the finger is clean the splinter is gone most times. From a 60yo boilermaker. 😊
LOL at first the thought Dan was trying to hide his identity but then he looked directly into the camera. Awesome video though. Great job both of you. Keep them coming. If you guys need a challenge I have a vespa GTS 300 in my shop needing the crank replaced. LOL definitely was a poor decision on excepting this job.
I love this dude Craig, his content is simple, no clickbait, not made up just doing his thing
yessir we love CRAIG
Hell yeah, get to watch great content, and learn a lot doing it. ALL HAIL CRAIG lol
Wait until someone tells you about what RUclips was like in 2011. That’s when I started watching. It, used to be so much more man.
Craig's legacy is undoing or resolving everything from Bikes and Beards...and I love it!
Now he needs to pull that lifan out of the garbage and see if it can be fixed lol. That would be a challenge after all the torture they did to that thing.
Agreed
I agree and love it!! If Sean had created Mt Rushmore, Craig would make us proud and hand-chisel Moe, Larry, Curly and Shemp up thar. 😳
You can't unsee it............Nyuck, Nyuck Nyuck!! 🤣
@@MAGGOT_VOMIT you're old
That had me LMAO!
As someone that works on bikes on the side, I'm addicted to this channel.
Really enjoyed this video. Craig gets a chance to show the level of skill only achieved through years of experience
I love you started a channel! Bike rebuilds are my favorite and love that is 1-2 videos per bike instead of 20 videos like other creators. Each video is like “clutch lever install”, next video we’ll do footpegs 😂
But before we get to foot peg a word from our sponsor... 😅
That looks like a 1990 model. I raced a 1990 CR250 back in the day. Was a great bike!
I agree, the new gas can nozzles are stupid.
Dan: "It kinda feels like hot air blowing around."
Craig: "That's only when you talk."
😂😂😂 Please don't ever change 😂😂😂

Craig and team have such a positive attitude and that is just one factor that keeps me coming back for more!
Thanks for saving this historical bike. Not many left like this. And this bikes only going up in value. This bike was called the bone breaker in the 90s.
Man, you're cranking content out like crazy! Keep it up!
The sound those big 2 stroke engines make is what a real dirt bike sounds like.
Had a 4 stroke 500 Yamaha she had a beautiful ROAR
NEW to this channel and absolutely love it. I've bought/restored about a dozen garage find bikes over the last many years, and I can truly relate. Thanks for the fun watch!
Having a CR500 is like having a crazy girlfriend. They are fun to ride but might kill you at any moment
Looooooooool
And that’s why I need 1😂
Terrifyingly fun 😂
I owned one of these, I gave it to my son…it was truly a monster! Wish I still had it!
As always, too much fun Craig…! Congratulations on your success!
“Kick it!” -Beastie boys
Proceeds to sing smoke on the water by deep purple 🤣
Absolutely legendary! 4:35
95.8 thousand subs, that's amazing in such a short time. Great work man, the CR500 is a freaking icon!
And over 30 thousand more in the past month. He’s doing great at a thousand plus subs a day!
221k today 🎉❤
Occasionally, on Facebook marketplace, I see these old bikes for sale. It makes me think about what you guys do and how fun it would be. And then reality hits and I remember I have an 06 road king sitting in the garage covered with my daughters toys.
😂 so many of us
Craig is the best 😂. I'm so happy to watch his videos on his own channel
Thank for the memories. I bought a new CR-480r in ‘83 while in college…loved that bike, almost went broke buying rear tires.
Your Can I make it run and drive it back home videos are honestly some of the most enjoyable stuff on youtube. I imagine they can sometimes be rather painful to make but boy, if that's not something amazing to watch and relate to! Really diggin this channel (more than the other one)
Wow Craig! Almost got your Silver Play Button! Congratulations!!! You deserve it!
Depending on where you're standing, it kinda feels like it's just hot air blowing around.
That's just when you talk!
That was QUICK! 😂😂😂
I just love what you guys achieved so far, and cant wait to see what the future might hold. Iam eager to see some test rides with the relics you bring back to life.

This is great, keep it up mate, love to watch someone who loves what they do. Inspiring content!
I raced a Air Cooled 1984 CR500 and then bought a 1991 and I loved both of them. The 1985 CR500 was a beast and they were detuned from then on.
That was so satisfying watching that engine being put back where it belonged.😊
your the Man As always, too much fun Craig…! Congratulations on your success!!!

Just hit a notification bell on a RUclips channel for the first time ever. The Bearded Mechanic is my absolute No1 channel. Keep it up, buddy. Compelling viewing.
Beautiful bike. Love 2 strokes!!! So much power, lightweight. Few moving parts vs 4 strokes.
My Dad had one of these beauty. Of course he broke is coccyx while showing off in front of his friends. First and last time I saw him fell of a bike. This bike would humble any rider, experienced ones even.
Love what you're doing guys!
Three 2-stroke vids in a row, love it. Keep up the great content.
That this is a beast! I actually liked the Harley Frankenstein bike. But, this motor deserves to be back home. Love the content so far... You should have a million subscribers... just say'n! keep um coming.

Craig, you're doing great...really hoping your channel takes off big time!
Awesome cr 500 still miss it, ❤️ one of the only bikes that was detuned after the first model run
The kick back on that could throw you over a house, a great iconic bike, go Honda.🏍🏍🏍
Warms my heart to see old crossers get restored.
Great call returning a classic back to stock. 500r is a true classic. 😎

Awesome video Craig, Awesome bike too, intimidating bike when you really let it do what it's meant to do, GO FAST + DO WHEELIES 👍
I got my first bike in 1980. I was 10 years old.
A KX80.
Those big bikes looked like dragons to me.
I could not wait to grow into one.
About 45 years ago, when I was in 3rd grade, my cousin Bruce put a harley hotor in a dirt bike and took me riding. Still one of my favorite memories as a child.
Smart move with lifting the back for the carb install!
Awesome job Craig as always love the new channel
Original is Cool, The manufacturer knew what they were doing. So rare to see a genuine oem bike of this age. Thanks for posting.
It's great that you're at the same location as plenty room outside to play in ! 🎉
A sweet old bike there. And a great friend to have. Well done Craig.
I have that same exact cr500, and it’s all original and in immaculate condition too.
Prettycool, kept everything, love the shop banter, terrible to have so much fun at work! Lol
almost 100k!!!! happy for you man
Great advice with the kick boot. A mate ended up with 11 stiches in his leg when the bike kicked him back
Graig is the Man if you don't know him you should!!!
Good stuff. I'm enjoying this channel.
Always a good day when a bearded mechanic vid comes out
Watching Craig is like watching Mikey from American Chopper but with serious and actual skills working on bikes. Love the vids
i'm a newbie to dirt bikes/ADV/dual sport. i've really come to enjoy this channel, it's so much better than B&B. i didn't care for that other guy.
Metal splinters are easily removed by dragging your finger across a bench grinder wheel (not running of course)
By the time the finger is clean the splinter is gone most times. From a 60yo boilermaker. 😊
Brilliant video!!!!!! Bike looks awesome!!!!!
I rode one of those once. They are beasts. When you hit the power band its hard to hang on.
Craig, we all want a friend like you man! If you’re ever in California you can ride my 1982 rm125!
Well done man, love the 2 stroke monster!
Awesome to see the engine returning home.
Awesome restoration Craig!
Great job,started so quick
It doesnt matter how many kicks because you did it all exactly right. YAY!
Dude ! Loving the new content! So awesome you won that race and got your own channel. Lol

Dream bike! Can't wait to see more on this 🤞😁
Hell yeah! Love to see some restoration
I used to race a CR500, VMC enduro outfit with a friend of mine. It featured a Austim Maestro radiator, to keep her cool. Great fun.
I had a 91. I loved that year, it was a gorgeous bike but it was scary fast.
First channel I’ve clicked the bell on ever. And I’ve been on RUclips since 06
Alright my Friday dose of Craig for the weekend. Love your videos
