Congratulations Coop!!!! I stopped watching the nba about 1996. Being a Celtics fan from 1979 to 96 the laker series were always my favorite. I think both teams brought the best out of each other. I know how tough a defender you are watching you defend my favorite player Larry Bird and him saying you were his toughest defender says it all. I honestly can’t stand today’s game and how it’s played. It’s so so soft. Could you just imagine what the 1980’s era player’s career averages would be if they played with today’s rules!!!! Oh my god it would be insane!!! I think they need to bring back the bumping and grinding. Bring back how REAL MEN play basketball. Don’t get me wrong I totally respect today’s athletes as they are amazing at what they do. I just don’t like the rules of the game any more. I also wish they would bring back the paint game, you know, bring back the box game. The Kevin Mchale, Kareem and Hakeem game. I remember watching how clogged the box would be and when I see clips of today’s games it’s like the box is wide open and everyone is playing on the perimeter. I don’t know I’m just a nobody but that’s my opinion. Anyways congratulations to you man. You deserve every bit of it!!!!!!!!!!🍾🍾💲💲 SHOWTIME!!!!!!!!!!

Coop, I hate the Celtics. I’ve never gotten over 1984. However, Sunday, June 9, 1985 was a great day. We beat the Celtics in Boston.

I am so happy for you Coop! I wore #21 when I balled because of you. I knew I wasn't the best player on my team, but I would do whatever it took to win, and would contribute in any way the team needed. I would study you and Sidney Moncrief on the defensive end, and just admire your talents!

For me Cedric Ceballos planted the seed of Michael Cooper as a Hall of Famer back in 1996…ever since I’ve pined for the day to come you’d be inducted as a player. Next up is induction number 2 as a contributor for your pioneering championship contributions to WNBA & G-League. Congrats Coop…well-deserved!
