Pros..The Seashore was the most beautiful ship I've been on so far. Everything was sparkling clean. We had a balcony stateroom that was extremely nice and comfortable. The staff was fantastic. The 5th Ave and Central Park dining rooms were excellent. Cons..Embarkation was horrible. It felt like everyone was trying to board at the same time. The buffet was by far the worst buffet out of all the cruises I've experienced. Getting water or coffee was ridiculous. The glass stairs in the atrium were stunning but very difficult for me to walk on. I felt like I was going to fall constantly. I couldn't understand any of the announcements. I would definitely choose another MSC cruise in the future because the pros really outweighed the cons. I have cruised Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Princess and Celebrity and now MSC. I have a NCL cruise booked in September. I will be on the Celebrity Edge in October. I like to experience a wide variety.
Thanks for the review. We are sailing in August on the MSC Seashore and this was very helpful. In my opinion, the things you hated were minor inconveniences especially when you compare them to the things you loved. I am excited and looking forward to my trip!
Glad it was helpful! And we totally agree! We look forward sailing with MSC again, and we think you will LOVE this ship. Thanks for watching, and have a wonderful cruise Shelly!
This was probably the best honest review i have seen on youtube. It basically answered all my questions about MSC. I am debating between MSC and RCCL. Thank you.
Thanks Chris! We just sailed on Royals Wonder of the Seas, so you should check out our review of that ship! Either way, I think you'll have a great vacation!
I cruised on MSC DIVINA on October 2021, the crew exceptional very professional fun. Also took very good care of guests needs at no avail. Food excellent restaurants amazing MSC SEASHORE ISHIP CONCEPT IS Based on OCEAN THEME AMAZING EXPERIENCE
I was with my family on the MSC SEASHORE two weeks ago. I am neither North American nor European, but I thought the experience was multicultural and fantastic, in which we can enrich ourselves with people who speak other languages and have different cultures. Very varied food options; from Thai to Italian food, and high quality ingredients. Highly recommended because it allows you to experience new flavors. Not many American food options? Well, I saw hamburgers, pancakes, donuts and fries, enough to keep those who like that type of food happy. Was there food from my country? No, but I found it more interesting to explore the food options they offered.
Very well said Jorge. And yes, there were plenty of American themed options in the buffet, just not the dining room., and on a ship geared towards Americans I'd hoped there would be more. We loved the experience, as I see you did. We will definitely sail MSC again. Thanks so much for sharing!
It is because you are openminded and not narrowminded. Any cruise is what you make of it. If you are going on a cruise looking for something to complain about, you will always find something. Every single time we went cruising we had a marvelous time.
When I sail on the MSC I always choose the all in package which includes the drinking package and the Wi-Fi And as for the room to leave the power on we always purchase the bracelet it's only $5, you free up your card to leave your room on for the AC or power up electronics.
Good advice Lisnette! We didn't know about the bands, but it makes sense... and we will definitely try to score some package deal next time. Thanks for watching and happy cruising!
The drink package and excursions were too expensive. The excursions to the beach only were really outrageously priced. The internet service was poor. The shower temperature heats up too fast. However, overall I did really enjoy the cruise, the balcony room was very very nice, the bed was super comfortable, and buffet food was amazing. The ship is really beautiful. I do recommend this cruise but as always nothing is perfect.
What I liked about Carnival, is that we could bring a 12-pack of soda on the cruise, and we certainly did... the MSC ship looks beautiful.. I'm sure the gelato and house made chocolate were amazing! And the Italian food and house made mozzarella must have been awesome
The Italian offerings were VERY good, yes! And though we haven't done it (we always get the soda package) the ability to bring that 12 pack on is a great feature for a lot of folks!
I must say i really like your review, honest, down to earth. My wife and i will be on this ship next September so its great to hear from people like yourselves who can help others prepare for their vacation. I like MSC partly because of the history of the company and particularly because of their environmental credentials. Of course they are not perfect, your comments about the staff are spot on, we were on the Seaside a month ago and will be on the Meraviglia in September, the Seashore next September and the World Europa in June so your review is a great help i always like to do my research. Thank you both, great people yourselves.
On the drink package… If there are 2-4 people in a cabin and only 1 could purchase the package they could just get drinks for the others. It makes sense that everyone gets the package.
There was a good variety including some international fare, but everything you could imagine from a typical American breakfast buffet . They also had some breakfast/dessert pizzas in the morning and donuts.
Absolutely! All large passenger cruise ships have well equipped medical facilities. They are on a lower deck and not a public area which is why it wasn’t included in the tour. When really serious medical issues arise, patients are typically air lifted off the ship.
Good news! We just booked with MSC, with their current deals the drink packages were cheaper than any other line, including the "free drink package addon" with NCL (where you pay massive fees for the "free" package). Really looking forward to trying MSC (having previously sailed with NCL and Holland America a few times in the past).
Lots of good points. - We are fans of MSC because kids sail for free. Just had 4th cruise with them in Seashore March 19. I actually brought a card from old cruise for the lights - other solution is to buy a wrist band - ( you get them free with Aurea and YC to use as key and payment. - I loved the food but i am from Europe originally. And they have made an effort in more American options by adding Mexican place :)

We just got off the seashore spring break week. We cruised with kids your review is 100% on point. Totally agree with everything. Awesome review 😊The slides were awesome as well no line no wait… kids really enjoyed it. The only thing missing is a Tip with the ice cream. If you use the kids cruise cards the ice cream is free and unlimited but if u use the adult cruise card u only get 1 free ice cream after that it’s $4.
The cruise lines are always running various offers, and MSC has some of the lowest entry rates of the major cruise lines. Prices can vary greatly depending on sailing date. Mid January to mid March is known as "wave season" for the cruise industry and is when so.e of the best deals can be had. Thanks for watching the channel!
I’m going on my first MSC cruise in August… solo traveler… How can I get an extra key card for the power switch? Is that possible? I like to have the A/C on all the time and my electronics charging as well. TIA!!
I loved MSC seashore but the only CON were how rude the passengers were. Not sure if it’s an European thing to be rude to others and not say excuse me or please but this is the reason why I will never sail with them again!
We encountered quite a bit of this as well... Not sure what the reasoning is, but we will definitely sail MSC again. Unfortunately, there are rude people everywhere and I will have to just try to ignore them... Thanks for watching!
I couldn't agree more! I've never had a cruise I didn't like... there will always be little things, and education is what these types of videos are about... thanks for watching!
Hmmmm. It's really tricky. I'm British and live in the UK. MSC always looks tempting. Ships looks great and prices are good! But, I hear the same cons over and over. It just puts me off. I stick to what I know. P&O, Princess and NCL
We agree! The ships are beautiful and the price is right. We resisted the temptation for all the upcharges and ended with a good cruise for a good price. We will cruise MSC again...
Being a European mom - a kid running around in a theater unsupervised is NOT an European thing, neither is disturbing a show. It's actually quite rude to assume it's an issue of origin :)
Hey Paula, thanks for watching... and we have watched this back and this came out wrong. This particular child was wold, and we realize it has nothing to do with where he is from...
I have heard mixed comments in regards to the availability of tap water. Will they serve you tap water with dinner for free in the main dining rooms or do you have to purchase water?
I was on MSC Seashore 2 weeks ago and asked if they got commission for selling packages. They said no. We, too, had only 2K passengers on the ship. I sure wouldn't want to be there when they're almost full!
Hey, sounds like I'm going on this ship next month! Very excited, something I'm always looking for in terms of buffet food is meat or chicken! I struggle to find what's served on any website or otherwise, but did they serve any, and was it good?
I ate mostly off the buffet as I wasn't a huge fan of the MDR selections (I'm picky). I found the buffet to be very food and plenty of meats and chicken. Have a great cruise!
In my experience, most people just want to lounge in the pools-other than the little ones. Many of the big ships have multiple pools…. But I’ve never seen anyone wanting to do laps, lol.
Seashore is beautiful but Seaside is a better more functional ship. Rouge is a great venue but its to hard to get outside for some fresh air or have a dart. On seaside all 3 bars where close to the back of the ship and had elevator access. Rouge is tucked away, and then one level up is all specialty restaurants before you get to the pool on the aft. Also the 2 buffets on Seaside seemed better then the massive one buffet on Seashore. As always the front facing staff on MSC are top notch. Our beverage server took time out every night to teach my daughter a new way to fold the napkins since she was infatuated with them.
Cruised many times with msc in Europe and the carribean. What we like, Italian food. Less Americans walking over each other to the burgers and hotdogs 😁. Yachtclub, no crowds. No standard dinner time, very private. What we don't like? Don't know
Thank you! We booked a June cruise on the Seashore and was curious what to expect. Third cruise, first on Carnival, second on Royal Caribbean. The drink package is outrageous. Two of us only drink water, but the others insist on drink package. If you do not get a package, can you buy drinks Ala carte? If so, do you remember per drink cost of soda and bottle water? And thanks for mentioning rude guests. Free range/ feral kids in public happens frequently and it is frustrating. Great job on the review! It was helpful.
Glad it helped! After tax, the sodas came to around $4 a can... We didn't purchase any bottled water on the ship so I am not sure about that. I think you will love this ship, I know we did... hope you have a great cruise!
@@thecruiseworld I’m booked on the Seashore for the 29th of October for a TA promo MSC is doing for us. And you were the first in my opinion to give a balanced view of the pros and cons… I’m going to posting video content on my channel as well just to see if things changed.
Debra, I totally agree that the food we had was great (loved the pizza!). My only disappointment with the food was the sparse selection of American dishes in the MDR. This ship is marketed for Americans and sails from Miami. That being said, almost everything I had was great! And for those who's palettes aren't as finicky as mine, the different selections will be very welcoming!
Hmm, I was on Royal Caribbean in Jan and we had to have the same drink package if we shared a room and our package cost us almost 900 for a week with 2 ppl.
Yeah, so that's around $65 a person per day, and I understand the need for both to get the alcohol package, but soda? It's so cheap... Still a great cruise! 😁
@@thecruiseworld yeah, my mother does not drink. Never has. So it was a hard hit to have them make us both get the alcohol package. It is what it is I reckon. We got a drink package with MSC for only 100.00 for the whole week.
Do the salesman bother you as bad as I've heard. I've seen five star reviews on this ship and I've seen one star reviews. Usually it's always the food but the thing that will really bother me is I don't want to be bothered by any salesman why I'm trying to relax on vacation
I m from Europe, and I d never buy the drink package. It s always overpriced. Take your excursion days into consideration. Che k out the beverage before the cruise, you will find it on the net
Hey Alex, thanks for watching! I completely agree with you when cruising in Europe... there we are typically off the ship in port for 8 to 12 hours. In the Caribbean however, it is common for us to just be off the ship a few hours... even in Europe though, with most lines a ain't d soda package still makes sense for me. Thanks for watching!
Cruised may 21-28th just got back. It was nice up until the last few days. My nephew tested positive for Covid (he is 3 so needed to be tested since unvaccinated 2 days before disembarkation). Then the whole family who was cruising with which was 8 more of us had to be tested. They told me I was negative and then an hour later comes back and says you were positive just kidding. Then says the same to my brother and sister in law. Puts us on deck 10 in isolation for a day. My brother in law stayed with my nephew in isolation while my sister(his mother) and her daughter and my parents get to stay roaming the ship. My mom demands a retest since I had Covid recently and poof. I’m negative. My brother and his wife get negative results as well. They were told they were never positive and didn’t know why they were told that and they were held in isolation for close contact. This was the sea day we were held in isolation and we got out on our Ocean Cay day. We got lucky and we’re able to roam the ship and go out the rest of the day. The communication was very poor and not together. One person would say one thing while another would say something else. They were confused when we asked why my sister and my parents never went into isolation. It was a mess. Then we had to disembark on deck 4 instead of deck 6 since we were close contact only to be placed near the Covid positive crowd and held there until customs was able to get to us. They did upgrade our room for one day. And give us dinner at butchers cut but it will not help the bad taste in my mouth from MSC. I wish this wasn’t my first cruising experience.
Also my sister then went and stayed with my nephew so they could be together for disembarkation and they took all of the Covid positive crowd to a hotel to stay until they were cleared (they were put on a no fly list). Well when the bus got to the hotel there were no rooms and the driver said “sorry” and left. So ridiculous.
Just on a point of order. Kids running around could not be labelled as a negative against MSC as a company. This could have happened on any cruise liner in the world. You should have called the parents to order. Are all Europeans like that in your experience, or do Americans do that as well? I have experienced the flipside of the coin as well. So, be careful to generalise.
Hey Christo, you are absolutely correct, this wasn't anything against the line... this was just a review of our experience on this MSC cruise. I do feel however that it should be MSC staff that engage with the parents regarding children that are interfering with other guests experience. Also, yes, you are absolutely 💯 correct, we have seen American families act worse... believe me. This was only referencing this cruise, and was done so in a Live forum without a script. We do appreciate you watching the channel and we are excited to be sailing again with MSC in July!
@@christoels8110 Thanks! We just finished up a great cruise on Carnival Celebration, next up is NCL, then RCL, then a second round on MSC! Thanks again for watching the channel!
MSC is cheap. They make money on drinks. I only drank bottled water, which was $3 per bottle. I have been on MSC Meraviglia in 2021. Food was mediocre and fish gave me mild tummy ache. Everything else was awesome. Especially the island.
Yes, Ocean Cay was great--and they are still doing improvements! I agree that MSC will try to "nickel and dime" you, but yeah, the ships are great and there is good value to be had with the cruise...
This was a while ago, and it was recorded during a LIVE show, so we were speaking of the cuff, but if I remember, she was talking about rude passengers and people allowing their kids to run around the ship like it was a playground... "those people". Thanks for watching--the ship was great!
a) MSC *tells* you not to charge anything (or leave anything plugged in) while you are absent. This is for the safety of the vessel. b) Maybe you'll be happier on American cruise lines. As an alternative to being provincial, perhaps you can embrace being a world citizen, experience new cultures and enjoy their cuisine. Burgers will always be there when you get home.
Hey Perry, thanks for watching! I've tried many, many different foods and have been to over 75 different countries. The pallette likes what it likes. Overall we really enjoyed this cruise and will definitely sail with MSC again. But if you are sailing a ship from the US, and you promote the ship as being for Americans, I would expect more options along with the worldly cuisine. That's all... and rude people such no matter where they are from, but in this case, the majority were not from the US. I know that isn't always the case. Cheers!
Perry a) I'm on the MSC Seashore right now and the pasangers are rude as fuck (they sound like you ) that is one of the main reasons I won't be back on. b) the food in the buffet taste cheap and just nasty no flavor at all, but if that's what you are into that's cool.
@@jasonb7862 b) I wouldn't know what the buffet food is like - I almost never leave the Yacht Club. a) Way to go digging up a dead conversation, necrophilia much?
Not worried about it at all... if we were we wouldn't have taken a bunch of cruises already... that being said if you choose to cruise right now I think you should be prepared to follow the rules that the cruise line has set out and that you agreed to... My personal feeling is that this is not going away anytime soon and we need to learn to live with it... I don't think the masks are really helping but I will wear it if needed. I'm ready to get back to the way things were, but some increased sanitation is definitely not a bad thing... thanks for watching!
Such bad management, no efficiency, terrible elevators that don’t work and are very slow and takes so long to get a drink even with a drinks package. Not one waiter came to our sunbed and asked us for a drink on our two week stay. The food is terrible, even the pasta was undercooked which means you have to pay for the speciality restaurants. AVOID MSC! ❌❌❌❌❌
Hi Lisa! First of all, thanks for watching the video. Secondly, thanks for opening my eyes to a new slang term, "Septic", which apparently means "American". I was smart enough to figure out the "Thick" part. 😂 I am a little shocked at the comment, especially since I don't recall either of us saying the word "CAY" in this video. And I will be the first to admit, that I occasionally use both pronunciations for this word, ˈkē , ˈkā, and in one of the most widely used dictionaries for us "Septics" since 1828, Meriam Webster, BOTH pronunciations are correct. Maybe Royal Caribbean (ker-ə-ˈbē-ən) or should I say Royal Caribbean (kə-ˈri-bē-ən), should be to blame for this mess with their famous private island "Perfect Day at Coco Cay". Oh well... I won't judge anyone for how they choose to pronounce the words... or their thickness... You say potato, I say potato.
We have sailed MSC twice. For me Pros pizza, Cons the number of Speedos.
LOL, yeah, the pizza WAS good! And the speedos... well... maybe we should just join them... NOT!
😅😅😅

I loved MSC seashore but the only CON were how rude the passengers were. Not sure if it’s an European thing to be rude to others and not say excuse me or please but this is the reason why I will never sail with them again!
We encountered quite a bit of this as well... Not sure what the reasoning is, but we will definitely sail MSC again. Unfortunately, there are rude people everywhere and I will have to just try to ignore them... Thanks for watching!
Just look thumb your nose to the French as every American does.
I usually just tell the crew trying to sell me packages that I already have it. And I rarely do 😁
Very smart! 😁
Guess what I found lol. Thanks guys for the heads up on some stuff.
You are very welcome! I think you guys will have a great cruise!
No Vacation is ever 100% THE WAY YOU WANT IT… DO YOUR RESEARCH TOO MANY UNHAPPY PEOPLE IN THIS WORLD… GO EXPERIENCE IT YOURSELF…💖💖💖
The drink packages booked all inclusive are way less than Carnival or Royal.
Yeah, we have gotten some great deals with MSC.
They must have been French.
I have heard mixed comments in regards to the availability of tap water. Will they serve you tap water with dinner for free in the main dining rooms or do you have to purchase water?
Stephanie did get tap water and the dining locations... now, she did think that it had a little bit of a weird odor... but it was free.
It’s ocean water.
I was on MSC Seashore 2 weeks ago and asked if they got commission for selling packages. They said no. We, too, had only 2K passengers on the ship. I sure wouldn't want to be there when they're almost full!
Thanks for asking! It sure seemed like it, didn't it? Hope you had a great cruise and thanks so much for watching the channel.
GOING AGAIN SAILING NOVEMBER 13-20,2022
Miami Port 4 islands
Come join me on the FUN💃🏼
A HUGE GROUP “LA PECOSA”
Have a blast Debra!
We’re getting ready to go on this ship 04/23/22! Fingers crossed….
Have a GREAT cruise Rhonda! Thanks for watching--I hope you checked out the ship tour!
Me too, full 14 day cruise
Hey, sounds like I'm going on this ship next month! Very excited, something I'm always looking for in terms of buffet food is meat or chicken! I struggle to find what's served on any website or otherwise, but did they serve any, and was it good?
I ate mostly off the buffet as I wasn't a huge fan of the MDR selections (I'm picky). I found the buffet to be very food and plenty of meats and chicken. Have a great cruise!
I don’t get it. Ship can carry 6k people but why are the pools so small?
In my experience, most people just want to lounge in the pools-other than the little ones. Many of the big ships have multiple pools…. But I’ve never seen anyone wanting to do laps, lol.
@@thecruiseworld but how can u fit 6k people in a pool that barely hold maybe 30?
Thanks for the comments... hope to sail Seaside eventually!
Thanks for the review of the ship. Never cruised with them
You are verybwelcome Ron! Thanks for watching.
Cruised many times with msc in Europe and the carribean.
What we like, Italian food.
Less Americans walking over each other to the burgers and hotdogs 😁.
Yachtclub, no crowds. No standard dinner time, very private.
What we don't like? Don't know
I DO love some Italian food 🍝 Thanks for watching--we will definitely be sailing MSC again!
I love sailing on MSC!
We had a great time... can't wait to get back!
? Are you Tony and Jenny B. in bizarro world? You guys could pass for young Tony and J.B. easily!
We’ll hopefully we will be as successful as them someday! 😍
@@thecruiseworld Thank you!
I am booked in June for MSC Seashore and this is my very first cruise. I did purchase the drink package cause I do like to drink when vacationing lol
The kids are fine, its the adults that burst into elevators before letting others off that starts to weigh on you.
@@mittmuckerbin296 I am getting very nervous about this trip. Overall did you have a good vacation?
Hi the discoteque it's ok????
We didn't go to the nightclub/disco at all, as we were on when things were just restarting from Covid.
The wireless charger should not have turned off when the rest of the power went off. All of the other outlets do turn off.
I hope you're right, that would be helpful... will have to check that out next time. Thanks for watching!
Great reviews
Thanks Mike! Have you sailed MSC?
@@thecruiseworld I’m booked on the Seashore for the 29th of October for a TA promo MSC is doing for us. And you were the first in my opinion to give a balanced view of the pros and cons… I’m going to posting video content on my channel as well just to see if things changed.
@@thecruiseworld this will be my first MSC cruise - I’m eagerly waiting to see what I feel are the true pros and cons :)
Must been nice to cruise with out a crowd.
It was amazing!
MSC ARE ITALIAN OWNED THE FOOD IS GREAT.. they have everything people menus varies
The food is great??? Are u INSANE????
Hmm, I was on Royal Caribbean in Jan and we had to have the same drink package if we shared a room and our package cost us almost 900 for a week with 2 ppl.
Yeah, so that's around $65 a person per day, and I understand the need for both to get the alcohol package, but soda? It's so cheap... Still a great cruise! 😁
Crazy prices.. try MSC
@@debrageigel1622 going on MSC October 1st and I got the drinks included in my room for only 100.00 total
@@thecruiseworld yeah, my mother does not drink. Never has. So it was a hard hit to have them make us both get the alcohol package. It is what it is I reckon. We got a drink package with MSC for only 100.00 for the whole week.
$25 per day for soda is absolutely INSANE!
Agreed!
Yeah. They endorse diabetes.
Do the salesman bother you as bad as I've heard. I've seen five star reviews on this ship and I've seen one star reviews. Usually it's always the food but the thing that will really bother me is I don't want to be bothered by any salesman why I'm trying to relax on vacation
Not gonna lie... at times they were like hawks... like the old days of going to a used car lot... but overall we had a great time...
That cost on a soda package is crazy.
It was... maybe next time I will shop for a deal... we will definitely sail MSC again!
We Americans want to get DRUNK!!!!!!
@@SKS8080 Why? Is life without getting drunk so unbearable for Americans??
@@alexboysen9472 two words. Joe Biden. That’s reason enough to drink heavily.
@@alexboysen9472 because of Joe Biden.
Have you sailed on the Seashore? If so, what did you like and/or dislike?
@@sierraheavrin5247 so sorry to hear this... I hope you will give cruising another chance at some point.
@@thecruiseworld What more can I say than I'm hooked? Looking forward to your next post. All the best for the future.
@@christoels8110 Thanks! We just finished up a great cruise on Carnival Celebration, next up is NCL, then RCL, then a second round on MSC! Thanks again for watching the channel!
I just got a good promotion free drinks
I would definitely look for a promotion next time we sail MSC
Please post the link.
I called them directly not sure if deal is still avaliable
Sailing the ship May 21. They matched my status from DCL. Looking forward to trying a new cruise line. Thanks for sharing info, much appreciated.
Hey Michele, thanks for watching. We think you'll like it... and this is much bigger than Disney's ships. Let us know what you thought after you sail!
I agree with no card no power 😥
Just something to keep in mind... great cruise ship though!
I think the drink package is so unfair
MSC is a family firm
This ship was beautiful! We look forward to sailing MSC again...
❤️
Thanks for watching!
Those people?
This was a while ago, and it was recorded during a LIVE show, so we were speaking of the cuff, but if I remember, she was talking about rude passengers and people allowing their kids to run around the ship like it was a playground... "those people". Thanks for watching--the ship was great!
🤣
A badly behaved child and behaviour of certain individuals has nothing to do with what continent they come from.
Neil, I completely agree, these referenced passengers were rude--and where they are from is irrelevant. Thanks for watching!
You lost me at masks and closing every other row in the theater. Please tell me that this was March of 2020.
This was 2021…. You do t have to worry about any of that now.
Kalau saya komentar.....mereka menggoreng goreng komentar saya untuk mencari kesalahan.....padahal mereka yang merusak.....
1 kg of sugar per day? Damm unhealthy ! They save your bucks for the future doctor .
What level of room did you have bella is the lowest.
We were Bella
a) MSC *tells* you not to charge anything (or leave anything plugged in) while you are absent.
Lol 🤣 😆 😂

Safety 😅 this didn’t age well
You guys seem to really buy into the pandemic thing still, like you’re really worried about it.
AVOID MSC! ❌❌❌❌❌
What u expect from Europeans?
Quay...is Pronounced "Key"....NOT "Kway"....FFS, you thick Septics!
