WoT build #1 T 54

With some guys over at armorama, we got together with a world of tanks build campaign. If you have it in game, build it. I chose the T-54 tier 9 soviet medium tank with the D-54 100mm gun. Base kit was the Tamiya T-55, used the Legend T-54 1949 conversion kit. The spider web wheels are also from legend, and the idlers are from shapeways. Shapeways idlers were very well made and slid on like a dream. Single piece, and all I had to do was just separate the two idlers from each other, minimal clean up. Forgot to mention I used Trumpeter T-54/55 indy links. The WoT model of the T-54 has a mix of features from the T-54/55 and built it up as close as I could. It was a long build, my first experience with using resin parts, but it was fun.

Excellent T-54 :) Very well built, I'm loving that coax gun. I stopped playing wot about when they added in that waffentrager e-100 thing, moved onto war thunder, T-54's still wreck me though :(

the way the right hatch opens is wrong

The hatch/AA gun mount can rotate 360 degrees. I built it to match the in game model.
