- They call it the "high and lonesome", sound... known for folks such as Bill Monroe, Ralph Stanley, and Hank Williams Senior. Roy reach out to me for a video and I instantly felt at home listening to his timeless country sound. In country and folk music there are often times when a song is meant to be performed by various artists, each with their own take on it, this was certainly the case with Roy and "Self Inflicted Wound". I know I sure have had quite a few self inflicted wounds in my day... This song was recorded by David Allen Coe, as well as John Whitley, and written by Billy Yates, Danny Bear Mayo, and Kim Edwin Williams. We look forward to sharing some original songs from this Hazard, KY native as well. As always, enjoy!

Yes we do. We just don't hear it on the radio or TV anymore. But we have plenty of music like this being made, that's the beauty of RUclips, social media, and apps like Spotify. I find gems everyday.

Nah... Go listen to “There's a Tear In My Beer”, by Hank Williams Sr. They's both nasely. Travis Tritt isn't that nasely. Lots of Appalachians sound like that when they sing. (Might be we all have the same sinus problems, I don't know.)
