- Join me on my first day in Trinidad as I explore Duncan Street, aka '7' or Rasta City, a notorious no-go zone. Despite its reputation, I met some smart locals who shared their stories. Let’s uncover the hidden sides of Trinidad’s capital!

The concern from that young man was touching❤
The kids were speaking from their hearts. Very honest and caring. God bless them
The kid say "Fully Jesus Christ...7 nottin, 6 nottin, 8 nottin, 9 nottin..Praise the Lord" 💯👏👏
Amen🙏🏾🙌🏾

This melts my heart. These kids are adorable! So respectful. Grateful to see Trinidad youths still have manners.
U ent clocked the uckers yute
Im not a uber religions person but when that young man, who was shy during the whole video, decided to speak up finally and what he chose to say was so powerful . If anything deserves to go viral from this video it's that part. God protect that young man and all the yutes in this video.
Let us keep all these youths in prayer.
Yup!
Which bit
The shy youth man who say fully Jesus Christ 7 nothing 6 nothing 🙏🏾
We need to find that kid

i was shocked on how friendly everyone there was. all smiles and conversation thats amazing.
I wasn't shocked :) The media would make you think most are mean people there. Lot of love in Trinidad / Tobago :)
Theyre only aggressive with people who look like them.
Yeah bro da gods are respectful
@@MindYoBuinessif I was around when you said that I would have shook off your hand, it’s so true.
I’m from trinidad but living abroad most my life, and when I come home is pure fight down. I can’t even buy a doubles without a fight down.
I try not to talk too much because I speak with a New York accent, and when I do, I get a lot of looks and stares, most of them unfriendly, because they look down on expats but love foreigners. What Ah ting.
@@MrQmason I agree
Love the red shirt- fully Jesus Christ- best part of the whole show-- love him for not repping foolishness and having hid OWN mind!!

Chris I live in Trinidad 🇹🇹. I have been a teacher for many years and am still involved in education. Those children were so very respectful and polite. I watched this video and felt very sad for several reasons that I choose not to mention. 🙏
Thank you for your comment. All the best!
They're all good kids at some point. Experiences breed contempt and resentment
kids in TT are raised to respect their elders.
very respectful young men.. love the way they say yes Sir ,no Sir to their elders
hopefully theyll grown into their fullest potential and not be swallowed up by the negativity around them..
Very polite smart young kids. I hope that they can break through and live a prosperous life outside of the illegal activity that is taking over the island at the moment.
no they're just still mentallyy enslaved and this dude knows it... hey see wyte skin and think they saw God Himself (which they didn't) ... and i from the sae place as this guy with a Trini background, i know what im saying from experience.
As a Trini this brought tears tò my eyes,,those kids are good kids, they gonna see this video with all the veiws and hopefully it opens their eyes to the possibilities and encourages them to strive for the best..bless up chris boss, this is one of the best videos ive seen a youtuber did on us even tho it wasnt long, but real ...professional indeed..if youre still here, link up,plenty to see in 🇹🇹 hoods north south east and west of the island
People be criticizing your content. But it’s not just showing the social economics of a country. It’s showing people that all a person needs is a chance
I am a Trini living in the U.S., these young men really got my attention, guiding you , around the area s, they are so respectful and really care for you. My cousin lives in the gray building the corner of Duncan and Queen street. I really love looking at the video.
Played soccer in college with 3 different Trini National Team players….Kelvin Jack, and Avery John who played for the Trini World Cup Team and Kevin Jeffery. We all won national championship here in the US. The Trini people love football and were the most solid and fun people to party with after our games.
Cricket is our national sport, but people in the ghetto love football.
@@alwayshappy3186yeah the Trinis I played soccer would often talk about Cricket and say how much better it was than baseball 😂. This led to some amazing arguments with all the players from the states. With that said football is still very popular in Trinidad and their talented footballers often play in European, and American leagues…i.e. Kelvin Jack who played in England, Spain, and Scotland. This like saying baseball is Americas pastime but American football is the most popular game to watch 🤷♂️ both very popular. By national team I was referring to the World Cup team which it is called.
So true they love football one of my brother died playing football and I think what keeps me good is knowing he died doing what he loved best
@@stillirise7813 read, you sound dumb.
@@alwayshappy3186cricket is not our national sport smh.
So far out of the whole Trini series this episode is the most authentic and enjoyable. Big up the youths for being unbiased.
your best tour guides ..so far...so respectful....big them up...but the quiet young man ...stole the show...definitely a leader....bless him and may god guide and protect him..and rest of his crew....please keep in contact with him,,and company
Chris respect . Those boys definitely had your back . They remind me of myself growing up in Trinidad. But my country is beautiful despite the issues that were facing . There are majority good people there.
Amazing video man, a couple vloggers been to Trinidad recently but this has been my fav vlog I've seen cus u didn't only emphasize the gang life, you showed other aspects of Trini life & culture. Saludos from Colombia!
Hey Chris, I'm from Trinidad and I can let you know how to get a taxi ride. In Trinidad, we call them maxi taxis or maxis for short. Now the maxis come in different coloured bands. That maxi you took to Charlotte Street in POS is the yellow band maxi which operates in the northwest region in Trinidad (Diego Martin Region), and places like Carenage and Chaguaramas too. There are many coloured bands on the road. These are the bands and the destinations they take you to.
Port of Spain-Arima (and onward to Sangre Grande): Red Band (G11)
Port of Spain-Diego Martin (or Chaguaramas): Yellow Band (W11)
Port of Spain-San Fernando (including Curepe-Chaguanas-Couva): Green Band (W18)
San Fernando-Princes Town (and onward to Mayaro): Black Band (W21)
South of San Fernando (Point Fortin, Cedros)-Siparia: Brown Band (W22)
Tobago: Blue Band (G17)
The fares are paid on board and are based on distance. They come in 12 and 25 seater versions. The maxi taxi was introduced in 1978.
And yes this is pasted from Wikipedia. I think they're correct.
This broke my heart because i grew up there in the 70s and early 80s. To see what it has become made me literally cry. I go home every year but i stay in the West St. James where we are originally from. Haven't been in that area since 2009. I love my people still.
The most genuine Tour Guides you’ll ever meet in your lifetime ❤ Stay safe ✌️
Chris it's good to see u in Trinidad these kids i like how they show respect by saying yes sir another good content Chris looking forward to see u in Jamaica again
Hi chris I just want to say thank you for educating me about my own country. I know that some of the are dangerous but I'll never actually go to such places. I was shocked to see its actual war in the areas. I couldn't believe it's so bad . Hearing stuff is one thing but because of you I got to see . May God continue to bless and protect you. Thanks for the wonderful job you're doing.
Chris, this is usually not my cup of tea but you have me hooked! Glad you are showing the 'invisibles'... the ones who ppl act like they don't exist. Always nice to hang out with us real people on the ground. Interesting and always unique. The children are lovely and a blessing. Really enjoyed this video. Tku 🙏

Well done, Chris, this was the best one, those kids where's amazing and real
Our children in the U.S. need to take lessons from these kids.... They don't have their face buried into an X Box or phone....
two totally different cultures, kids in the US will never be in the environment of us who grew up in the caribbean or any places around the world.
This is like going on a trailer park in the us and comparing children there to children in more fortunate situations. I can assure you that , there are children in Trinidad, just like in the us( like me) who grow up with technology, Xboxes, Wii u’s ect🫠
@@asanajohnson5386I doubt…
That’s because they can’t afford one
Chris , Ive been following your Journey ,moreso in Trinidad. Very transparent lens on my beautiful twin island . Too often we sweep issues under the rug . All those young men are our future daddys , husbands , they are our brothers ,and as such they are a vital part of our ecosystem.Today with advancements in technology the world has become a global community , so what affects one region affects all . I didnt see you in my community , Maloney. One thing about all these young men , they want to be heard , they open up , once they get a platform to .Welcome to Trinidad , the issues you are having are because there was no time for trust to be built before your interviews , once people build trust , they will accept your work .
Excellent video. Those are good kids, wish they had more opportunities 😢.. And the big homie was very intelligent and humble. I can see he is a warrior, but wishes things were different. Blessings to all 🙏🏾 💯
