Fontana School Of Aeronautics Rochester Minnesota 1940's- Army Pilot Training School - Lobb Field

This video was digitized from a reel of 8mm film without any markings. The film was Kodak and had a manufacture date of 1930/1950. It appears to show men attending a private aviation school intended to produce military pilots. The school appears to be the Fontana School of Aeronautics, which was located in Rochester, Minnesota and at Lobb Field.

Thanks, so interesting & a quality history lesson. I can only imagine the knots in those pilots stomach when they got the news of being assigned to fly either a C-47 or glider on their first combat mission.
