I served in the Coast Guard Aux in Key West Florida. Great memories. Flew on Dolphin 65 and Jay Hawk 60 helicopters. Longest search mission I was on was over 6 hours in the Florida Straits. Landed at dark o’ clock was crew using night vision goggles

The CH-43s were a multi service Aircraft used by the Army and the Marines....but they were all given to the VNAF in Vietnam after the Huey went into full production. I flew a Turbine converted 34 a few years ago with my same production year...1961.

My Grand Father was in Toulon and scuttled the ship he was on, and this is definitively Toulon, I worked there in 1991.

The kid who died was restricted to the ship, assigned extra duty and was suffering from sleep debt. A non-rate on the Eagle will soon be scapegoated. I remember when the Eagle pulled into Boston that summer. I was assigned to the Seneca at the time and I walked across the bridge to the old Charleston Shipyard to have a look. The cadets were having drinkies on the fantail. I've been retired for over 20 years and to this day, with the exception of just a few, I hate Coast Guard officers. Oh yeah: The CG blamed that kid's death on him.

What great memories. Stationed at Camp Pelham 1985, 2nd M.P. Co. Today, 40 years later I'm still in touch with a fellow veteran who also served with me there and we occasionally talk about the Ville. Thank you for posting this video. You took me back my friend.

The carrier is the Yorktown which arrived at Patriots' Point in 1975. It has no radars and Patriots' Point is yet to be constructed.

Until I saw this train today in Louisiana, i didn't realize they were painting the GE locomotive with the new scheme. I actually thought I'd spotted a Charger until i saw the low number. Thanks for sharing!

I was 14 that year, I lived on the coast just south of Boston, everyday in the ocean from May to October either swimming, jumping off the bridge next to my house, sailing small sailboats, motorboats, that dark green/blue ocean is in my blood.

I am pretty sure that was the motor pool that i was in Dec 63 - Oct 64. I dont think that they moved motor pools very often. I made Motor Sergent there. I was really a sp-5 So I was an acting jack. Jer
