Dear Shinedown, today is going to be great seeing you live for the first time. I am 32 years old and have been a fan since Sound of Madness. When I made my father listen to your music, he instantly got addicted. We always shared a bond with music, and Shinedown, you are the one band we dreamed to see together on stage one day. The fact that you don't come in the province of Quebec very often made the tonight's show an awesome opportunity to finally share this moment together. It was also his birthday yesterday, so I thought the planets finally aligned for us to realize this dream.
Unfortunately, we have recently learned that his throat cancer is back and he won't be able to come tonight because he needs to rest. I know that you can't cure his sickness, but I beg you: please can you come back in 2020 again so that we can live that moment together? My father is strong and never gives up, I have the conviction in my heart that he will get through this cancer again. He is so disappointed to not be able to come tonight. I hope you can make our wish come true next year.
Thanks guys for being such an amazing and inspiring music band and persons!
Edit: Unfortunately, we got news from the doctors, and they can't cure my dad. It seems that it is much worst than the first test revealed. The cancer has spread in his body and his blood...They give him about 2 years if he follows the treatments, less than 1 if he doesn't. Having my father announce me that was the worst and hardest moment of my life. My father still wants to fight and I will do everything I can to use this as a motivation instead of letting this eat me alive from the inside like the cancer is doing to my dad. Thank you all for your prayers once again, more than ever we will need all the positive energy we can!
If I dare asking you guys only one thing, please just love with all your heart everyday. Tell your parents, brothers, sisters, uncles, aunts, cousins and anyone one you consider family how much you love them. We simply NEVER know when a bomb like this falls in our life and change it forever. Be good, stay safe and take care!

Faith I enjoy their music for about 10 years. They’re still marvelous. Only thing is bad: they don’t make music rock anymore.. I wish the band could do cool rock songs with mad guitar riffs and amazing solos

In my mind, this has always been Shinedown. The new album is slightly less rock but it’s always been somewhat political and meaningful. Totally agree that bands evolve and Brent’s voice never gets old. That we can all agree on.
Shinedown has changed a lot over the years, but what hasn't is that they are still releasing songs that are topping the rock charts, and they enjoy what they are doing

@@joshgregson6643 I've never been one to like a "remake" of a song, always preferring the original artist rendition. However, I've broken that opinion twice. The first time being when #Disturbed remade "Sound of Silence" . That song was made for them to sing, it took on a whole new meaning for after hearing them perform it....every hair on my neck stood up. The second being when I was lucky enough to see #Jellyroll and #Shinedown perform "Simple Man" live in concert. It was epic. 😎❤️🔥🤘 I hope you get the chance to see them perform it live. It might just change your mind!

I love how every video seem to tie in together in some way! To anyone confused, watch Get Up, Monsters, Devil, The Human Radio, and this new one in that order, it will make sense if you pay attention to details.

@@r69m56 it's kind of hard to explain but if you think of it as "Actions have consequences" it makes sense. Watch every main character in the videos actions, it's a domino effect in a way. I'm sorry I didn't go into much more detail than that, but it's more powerful if you see the details yourself.
@@ryanschmidt7511 i still get how get up and monsters are connected, but i dont get devil, even tho the chair in the devil could be mean something cuz in 'get up'the girl threw the chair into the pool could mean that she's moving on, and the chair is the 'bad thing' (?). And also i dont get how devil connected to human radio and attention attention, but in human radio and attention2 they had a kind of disease that contagious (?) in human radio ppl are focused on their phone but realize it in the end, but in attention2 ppl get laying down when they get passed by the asian dude (?)

So I get the connections between Get Up, Monsters, and Devil because the same woman and man are in those videos plus the metal chair too but I don't get the connection with the first 3 videos with The Human Radio and ATTENTION! ATTENTION! the only connection I got was it seems those 2 videos are filmed in the same location and people are zoned out in their phones for most of the videos until the end where there's something that gets your attention...so what am I missing? And did I get some connections right?

I’ve always loved shine down! The drummers mother is a local in my town, and she used to bring her dog to a vet I used to work at . One day we got SUPER LUCKY , and she surprised us when she came in for her appointment with her SON !!! Barry is his name I believe . He was sooo cool and down to earth. Took pics with him and he signed drumsticks for us !! Also I really like how they put “Jesus saves”, in the middle of the video. That was awesome!

To this day, it is still totally worth waking up at 5 in the morning to drive to LA, sweating from wearing a thick leather jacket when it got hot, walking for hours on end back and forth, and my eyes drying out from not wearing sunglasses all day to participate in this music video. Absolutely mindblowing for sure 🤯

They cuss occasionally with the f word. But not much. I haven't seen them live yet but I have heard the band cuss before on stage. I think Brent knows how many kids go to their shows and tries to make it where everyone can enjoy.

I had to look this video up for maybe the thousandth time. There are days I need this song like oxygen. I have zero idea how people can forget music can save lives. This band has saved me so many times that no one knows about. Mostly because I don't want the band to feel it's their job to save me. They do deserve all the credit for the good they do and it was never my intent to deny them that. I was just not happy with my own choices, please don't blame the band for that! They saved me without even knowing they saved me, so please give them credit for saving life.
