Can you weld with a cellulose electrode with this machine? Has anyone tried it?

Yes it can, i have used 6010 red rods 3/32 inch or 2.4mm size, with it. the open circuit voltage is 78v in specs, any thing with OCV over 60-65v should be able to run cellulose. I do see a big inductive coil inside the machine through the grill. ( i really dont understand why the jasic support guy not answer the question, annoying)

@@asjahan7748 Thanks pal I just asked the same question having never used 6010 and wanted to try, I was assuming the machine would need some kind of sub menu to select cellulose like you see on some esab,

@@Hood_Tyme_Fab I presume your in Europe from your name. This Jasic machine (EA200 here in UK) is on par with the european version of a esab rogue es 200i ( and not the north American version where you can choose cellulose optimise setting from the left button). It does not have any selectable preset for 6010. But runs 6010 fine. Its got to do with the high OCV combined with arcforce circuit or more correctly the arc stabilising closed loop circuit that most newer inverter machines employ. It keeps the arc from cutting out during the manipulations you do with fast freeze rods.
If you want to try 6010 I suggest you buy a cheap pack of 6010 and try it with the machine you already have. Thats what I did during covid time, got a Magmaweld 8kg tin of 2.4mm 6010 ( was on sale then for GBP 34). To my surprise all my newer machines could run them ( including a hitbox hbt200p with OCV only 59v with arcforce control). Only machine that couldn’t was a 10 year old cheapy chinese mini inverter.
Give 6010s a try, I think it would be a revelation for you first time you weld downhill repair with the rod.
I do suspect 6010s have also been adjusted in last decade or so to better enable inverter to do what old style analog constant current welder have done for 100 years.
By the way this Jasic is a beast, I bought it for the PFC and to run 3.2mm 7024 and 4mm 7018, so far it has laughed off everything I have thrown at it.
