Another great video Ricky always look forward to the next, always something to learn and take away, I also agree from what I can see you are certainly balls deep in fish.
Outstanding 🥇🏆. My Dainichi Kohaku takes pride of place in my pond , looking forward to adding to the collection shortly 👍😊. Loving your videos, keep them coming👍🈲🐟😊
What I mean is, if you know that the koi is coming from Japan in very soft water and it’s going into much harder in the U.K. how much sumi would be acceptable or what are you looking for in the underlying sumi and motoguru when choosing koi in Japan
Very informative video from your side of the work on them. Would you say that COVID and the auctions have given more opportunities to countries to acquire those kind of quality fish and therefore has ncreased the competion?
They have always been competitive and remote bids have always been placed but for me it’s not the same as watching it happen. So access online has been great for that.
Very good information. For 3 example is hight quality for great kiwa and red color . Quite fast black for nisai koi . I need to try that food . Now i also wait for offspring of kinsen and monaliza . Thankyou
It’s a system that the farm uses to demonstrate their opinion of the quality of the fish. I pay no attention to them however and just look at the fish!
Most people don't realize that showa does not show his good pattern early age unless it grows slowly. Because when koi grows, showa pattern usually compromise badly sunni starts to fade a bet than it used to be. As she/he grows come to slow showa will starts to define his/her pattern, it is then you know you have a good showa.
Great informative video really excited to see the rest.👍
I can’t wait to share the rest with you all.

We’ve got plenty of videos to come. I’m not surprised it’s a stand out fish in your pond.
3 great examples. In the next videos could you explain the impact the U.K. harder water has on the sumi and what to look for in Japan👍
Can you be clearer on what you mean by what to look for in Japan?
