Here’s what you’ll need:
1 piece of lining fabric measuring 8” x 10”
1 piece of outer fabric measuring 8” x 8”

If you make your own case using my tutorial I would be totally chuffed if you tagged me in your creation.

Love this. Going to make some of these for Christmas presents!
Fantastic tutorial thank you so much
Great tutorial and up cycling idea! Will be great to use this tape for other closures. Excellent English too. 😊
Loved your tutorial!! ❤ you actually give us tips on sewing! I will be making these as christmas gifts for co-workers!
I’m absolutely delighted you enjoyed it! Tag me on Instagram if you make some 😉
What a wonderful tutorial, thank you very much. Precise and easy instructions. Great little project😊
Great lesson. Thank you !
I have saved some broken tape measures from us building our house...now I have a good pattern from you. Thanks so much!
I suggest sewing a few lines of stitching across the cotton batting (wadding) due to the cotton batting will bunch up if not sewn down at close intervals. That will "quilt" it and add texture and interest to the final look
So cute. I bought spit my tea all over my computer when you said "PIVOT" like Ross from Friends. Hilarious. Great video.
I aim to entertain! Sorry about the spillage 🥴
Great tutorial Joanna. Really clear. And I have a broken metal tape measure.
Thank you Sheila! Really appreciate the feedback 🥰
Great tutorial and pattern. I had used another one and was not at all happy. This hides all the seams and gives a totally finished and professional look. Your explanation was clear and the video was helpful. I do not follow videos very well, so I took photos along the way.
Wonderful tutorial with an upbeat feel! Thank you 😅
This is absolutely the best method I’ve seen to make a snap top case with no exposed seams. Very creative!
Brilliant tutorial. I love how you connect with us, very fun! And the magic of the birth and the cleverness of the snap closure were inspiring!
You are showing so perfectly & cearly.I loved it. Thsnk you Ma'am.
My pleasure 😊
Great tutorial. Excited to do it myself now. I have watched many snap case tutorials and like that your seams are all hidden!
Brilliant what a good way to do a glasses case

You are FUN! Thx
made this tonight. Thank you for your easy to follow tutorial! Now to see if I can get the kids to have a go :-)
That was both entertaining and educational. Love your humour 😂
I would suggest adding a prairie point on the front and back of the
What width was your tape measure? Mine is an 1" wide so I could not get it in the tape casing. : (
Oh no, how frustrating. I totally didn’t think to include that in the tutorial. Mine was 1 cm. I’m so sorry it didn’t work for you
@@joannasfeelingcrafty I’ll put a snap on it so I can use it. The next one I make, I’ll make the casing wider. Now I have the basics, I can adjust the pattern to be a little larger if needed. Thanks so much.
@@grannyk53 great save!
Case at the center to use as tabs.
What are final measurements? Thanks
mine are 18x10.5cm
Enjoyed your video ! Will be making some of these soon.
