  • I hope you enjoy my tutorial for eye glasses case with snap closure.
    Here’s what you’ll need:
    1 piece of lining fabric measuring 8” x 10”
    1 piece of outer fabric measuring 8” x 8”
1 piece of wadding (batting or foam will work too) measuring 8” x 7”
    1 strip of fusible interfacing measuring 8” x 1”
2 strips of metal measuring tape 3,5” long
    Piece of masking tape
    Hand sewing needle and thread
If you make your own case using my tutorial I would be totally chuffed if you tagged me in your creation.
I hope you find a bit of time for feeling crafty ❤️

I have saved some broken tape measures from us building our house...now I have a good pattern from you. Thanks so much!
I suggest sewing a few lines of stitching across the cotton batting (wadding) due to the cotton batting will bunch up if not sewn down at close intervals. That will "quilt" it and add texture and interest to the final look

So cute. I bought spit my tea all over my computer when you said "PIVOT" like Ross from Friends. Hilarious. Great video.

Great tutorial and pattern. I had used another one and was not at all happy. This hides all the seams and gives a totally finished and professional look. Your explanation was clear and the video was helpful. I do not follow videos very well, so I took photos along the way.

This is absolutely the best method I’ve seen to make a snap top case with no exposed seams. Very creative!

@@joannasfeelingcrafty I’ll put a snap on it so I can use it. The next one I make, I’ll make the casing wider. Now I have the basics, I can adjust the pattern to be a little larger if needed. Thanks so much.
