I just bought this curling iron. I can’t seem to keep a curl in my hair! I tried texturizing spray, but I don’t know if I’m using it correctly. I always use a flat iron to curl because I can never get curling iron curls to stay. By the time I get to the other side of my head, the first side is flat already! Any tips? My hair is very long and fine.
Oh no sorry to hear that! What heat setting do you have it on? I always put it to the hottest setting. When it’s lower it doesn’t keep the curl in as well for me. But if you do have it on the highest and it’s not working your hair might do better with the lower settings. I would play around with that! Do you let the curls sit and cool before brushing them out? It helps keep the curl pattern if you don’t brush them out right away. You can also take each curl and pin them up on your head while they cool! Look up a tutorial on that, it’s definitely something a lot of people do to keep their curls! Maybe try a hairspray instead of texturizing spray. Spray a little on before you curl. Then spray a little on right after it’s curled before you brush them out while they cool down. Don’t use an oil either that could be weighing them down. Curl smaller sections/pieces at a time. May take more time to curl your hair but it can keep the curls getting the smaller the sections. I’ve used curling irons in the past that wouldn’t keep my curls but this one has always done a good job having them stay. Sorry you are having a hard time! Hope these tips help!
Love how you curled the left side ( looser) hoping it will keep my hair curled!
