GM has missed an opportunity of a lifetime!!! That opportunity is not equipping these vehicles with a nice 4 cylinder turbo engine. Preferred choice would have been the 2.0 L 4 cylinder turbo engine found in Cadillac models. Buick has a luxury past that requires more prestige and acceleration to get the blood pumping!!! These SUV’s are very appealing, but lack spirited power. GM can definitely do better! These vehicles should be selling like hotcakes!!!
@@CarsMadeSimple Yes, I loved 🥰 the content and presentation! I have looked at many videos regarding vehicle comparisons. You have outdid them all. Thanks. God bless!!!
I test drove both yesterday . Envista had nice seats/ leatherette and drive softer… I was kinda suprised… the encore gx I liked sitting higher, visability was better . Very torn between the 2. I was also told, not sure if it’s tumour but the AWD can be completely turned off vs having components turning when not needed so better in furl economy..
I test drove the Envista and it was good but I'm 6'1 and got used to my 2018 Kia Sorento heighth. The Envista felt like a car to me, but the Envista looks sleeker and meaner, the Encore looks compressed
They were thinking if we increase the power and put more features we won’t get rid of the overpriced garbage encores that’s why they keep showing them side by side and referencing them
@@cassiocm it’s a 1.2 three cylinder and 167 ft lbs of torque which is just enough to render the envista balanced, with the turbo activeted it works well with the engine, you might even get a tire burn at start. Overall in the states it’s a good price specially with the base model!
Well, both have awful engine options. At least with the Envista, if you love the overall look of it.... Buy a Mazda CX-30. It's what the Envista should have been had GM given it a proper engine option, along with AWD.
The roofline is a little less than the Encore GX which may make it slightly more difficult but I believe the front seat ingress and egress is fairly easy for both.
Buick's Bopsi Twins! They are beautiful, but way to similar. Looks like one came about to take the place of the other, then the big guy changed his mind. A 1.2 & a 1.3-litre turbo? (6 cubic inches of difference) Really? Someone used the wrong side of the ruler. Anyway, I would just lower the Envista & call it a car!
I like the Envista a lot. I even went on a test drive. The price point is impressive. The cargo space is too small and I'd like a little bit more ground clearance. That's why I went with a slightly used 2023 Santa Fe SEL (no packages). There are great safety features and a nice infotainment center. Some extra bells and whistles would've been nice but then it would be surpassing my budget maximum. Envista is the best bang for your buck if you don't have specific needs and just need a nice car for getting around.
@Cruzan9 I'm about to pull the trigger on a 3 row hybrid crossover for the family and wife to use daily. For my self, I'm ok with either on these as far as space since I'll be driving short commutes alone. It has black interior, LED HEADLIGHTS, push button start.
Great job! I purchased both vehicles recently. Your description of each vehicle is on point.
Thank you!!

I think hey are selling like hot cakes already.
You did a great job on this video!!! Great details and useful information. Thank you.👍👍
Glad it was helpful! I think these are the best types to get an idea of what each one has to offer.

Very nicely styled and designed. Would like to test drive both. Thank you for the comparison.

Good video. I've been looking in to the Envista
It's a great option!
Buick is back
Envista ST can actually be optioned with rain sensing wipers.
Difference in handling???
The Envista is ok,however a three cylinder,130 hp is inadequate, what were they thinking.

@@jamesbookman1767 again,what were they thinking!
I drove it and it’s peppier than you would expect. It’s not winning any land speed records but it’s not an absolute slug.
The missed opportunity here is not to offer the 1.3 on the Envista even if fwd only

I would liked to see rear seats folded down ,but good job still

I'm torn between both but Envista is cheaper
Both are solid options. The Envista is amazing for the price.
hows the entry height for a 5,11 senior in the Envista?
The roofline is a little less than the Encore GX which may make it slightly more difficult but I believe the front seat ingress and egress is fairly easy for both.
@CarsMadeSimple have cadillac ct5 and find that low. So if this a closer to suv-ish then it might be ok
@@talhahussain3985 Oh yes. Either of these vehicles will have a higher ride height and seating position.
Nice cars

How are those cvt transmissions
The Envista has a 6 speed auto and the Encore GX will have an 9 speed with AWD or CVT with FWD.
@@CarsMadeSimple I know what they have … I was wondering how those cvt are? As I’ve heard horror stories on Nissans etc cvt transmissions
Front seats too narrow.
Both need a hybrid version and a 40 plus mpg.

There’s another you tuber whose wife has the Envista Avenir and is reporting around 40 mpg! That’s hybrid territory.
Both these suv's have very narrow front seats.
Buick LOL.
