Comment #1 - I appreciate that you shared all three desoldering attempts. It helps people learn how to problem solve, since things usually never go as well as video repairs show.
Reply #1 - I’m glad to hear you found all the desoldering attempts helpful!! I ran into a similar problem on the last video I posted. Sometimes you have to use all sorts of different methods!! 🐺🐺😁😁
Yo, a tip for all of you, that don't have de-soldering iron, nor low-temp solder: Just cut the legs of the old switches off, douse the stumps with flux and suck the solder off with wick. Worked for me 😜
Very interesting, I didn't think about changing the buttons, when I had double-clicking problems about 3 years ago. I took the black cover off the button and bent the metal thingy inside, put it together and it worked like a dream and still does. Like you said, it's a fantastic mouse
Thank you!! I had tried bending that metal thingy in the past but it never really worked out that well for me. Yes, this has to be the best mouse I’ve ever used!! Thank you for commenting it is much appreciated!! 🐺😁
Tried the same with mine because it didn't register the click more often than not, but after a year the double-click problem appeared. At first I've just cleaned the switch with contact spray, but that lasted only for a few months. So the only solution is a switch change. Ordered a pair from Ali for $3 and some new skates. Now it's like new 🤗
