- A lot of people see this as a key milestone, and I hit it a while ago, so I thought I'd share my take.

I’m João, I’ve run a software development company for a few years now, online & remotely. These videos are pretty much a public diary; I record them mostly for my own reflection. Recently, I help developers launch their own software development companies too. You don’t need to buy it, I was just letting you know.

Thanks for sharing
Appreciate it a lot
Sometimes you have to take 1 step back to make 2 steps forward. I relate to this brother.
yeah, absolutely 🤝
Great vid, thanks for sharing!
Well done!
Super awesome when you make money doing something you started from the ground up.
appreciate it- yeah definitely quite gratifying
10K a month is supposed to be net PROFITS.
And Business PROFITS =
gross revenue minus something that you'd pay all employees of the same level, including the actual work done by yourself (if you were to hire someone doing that for you)
That would be 10k from actual business, not self-employment.
yep, i hit a bit over 10k that month, and it was enough to cover fulfilment costs.
@@joao__nm Yep 10k profits, means 10k left after everything including paying yourself for fulfillment.
Hey bro, can you tell me how can I start getting clients? I have started a cybersecurity consulting business and I am really lost and overwhelmed!
I made another video about this I think, which you can find on my channel. Other than that, I also recently launched this: devlaunch.minthouse.dev/
Maybe you'd be curious about it!
curious how you guys negotiate for MRR
what do you mean? We moved to bill in retainers which really helped, as opposed to per project billing
@@joao__nm got it, what i mean was how do u negotiate for maintenance after the building the MVP, cause one thing that i am learning is retaining the clients that i have since most of those are just one time project based contracts
How do I start what you do
I made another video about how to start a development agency, you can find it on my channel.
Also, if you're curious, I recently launched an accelerator to help a few people do it because I had a few people reach out about that, so if you want you can apply here: devlaunch.minthouse.dev/
Saas is good but hard
very hard- I wouldn't recommend it to start.
