IMPORTANT: 1) there's a fixed version of this. This is a GREAT project, it's insane, it's pure magic. But some gears doesn't fit properly. 2: there's the mercury's Axle that is 22cm at 60%. It doesn't fit my anycubic I3 Mega. I'll use a similar stick that I already have, no problem, but BE CAREFULL check each piece before start printing, if it fits your printer :D 3: the pegs are a pain, printed at 60%, I'll use something else, maybe some bamboo sticks :D 4: if you scale the project with OpenSCAD, planets will not be scaled on the Z axis. I scaled it on Cura, so if you scale it at 70%, once you open it with Cura just UNLINK axis (X and Y must not be reduced) and reduce at 70% just the Z measure. THANK YOU SO MUCH, I love it!
I am about 20% of the way through printing the optimized version of this. What a pain in the ass the get the gears and the larger pieces to print properly. They want to warp and curl badly. Nice job!
It's actually been proven that both Uranus and Neptune are not actually planets, but instead mere blobs of mayonnaise on the lens of the Hubble Space Telescope while the operator ate a turkey sandwich.

What are you printing it in Jim? Also you must be a man of class and sophistication with that surname👌
@@solidus784 A combination of black PLA and gold silk PLA. Still plodding away at it!
@@jimmurphy6095 hmmm I printed mine in PLA with zero warping
@@solidus784 Hot end and bed temp settings? I 've tried from 205-230° and from 60-75° with marginal success.
@@jimmurphy6095 210C on the hot-end 60 on the bed. Make sure you z offset is correct a probe could be good for you
Thats what i call a masterpiece but wait!........ where is uranus and neptune

Where is Uranus and neptune?
Its to scale, they are orbiting a house down the street
@@solidus784 Hahahahaha lmao
