    This was way better than I was expecting; I could definitely use the entire set of objects for kitchen and travel. Today was the day I learned that some people dont keep their eggs in the fridge. Who knew?

    • @LxRv
      @LxRv 10 месяцев назад +76

      Eggs have a natural coating that protects them meaning they don't need to go into the fridge. Except in the US they're washed for retail, removing the coating, so they should go into the fridge.

    • @logicalfundy
      @logicalfundy 10 месяцев назад +13

      Eggs sold in the USA need to be refrigerated, as they have the protective cuticle removed. Eggs in other places generally don't, so they're often okay not being in the fridge.

    • @joeyhouben3270
      @joeyhouben3270 10 месяцев назад +10

      @@xbadjokerxhow long do you hold on to your eggs 🙃??
      It can be hold for 14 days without any problems outside the fridge..
      But mostly the temperature is the problem. In warmer climates it is sometimes better to store the colder..

    • @jaeichinger
      @jaeichinger 10 месяцев назад +8

      Like others have said, store bought USA eggs must be refrigerated because we choose to acid wash the eggs. That limits the amount of bacteria but also allows eggs to become internally contaminated.
      Unwashed eggs do not require refrigeration for some time. Possibly many weeks.
      In order for a good system to work a country must have some uniform rules and a type of food handling culture.

    I feel like you're intended to start by placing the eggs directly on the bottom of both of those dispensers when they're empty. Once the dispenser is mostly-full, they won't be able to build up enough momentum to damage the eggs when you place them at the top.

    You don;t need a brake to slow the eggs down in the two-layer holder. You just need to load it from the front up the first time, so the eggs only ever get to roll one egg of distance at a time. Loaded that way, the eggs can't build up enough momentum to bang into each other and cause damage.

    Anything that involves hygiene/cleaning or food/beverages I tend to avoid printing (except bag clips). It's just too easy for fdm printed items to have great places for bacteria to stay and grow.
    If you really must print stuff that also needs to be sanitary, look into food safe clear layer paints or epoxies to coat the print in to make a more even surface so bacteria aren't able to hide and grow.

    I've watched TONS of videos on 'useful' 3d prints and this one also has nothing useful lol. I always hope i'll find at least one idea that i could use, but...
    I don't really travel.
    I don't use a toothbrush. I use floss, soft rags and mouth washing to avoid scrubbing, abrasives and bristles As a result i have no idea what a toothache or dental problem is. I have all my teeth (minus some chips and scratches from faceplants) including my wisdoms
    I don't have kids.
    I already have a mug full of writing utensils, who doesn't?
    I don't have a desk i need a name plate for.
    I don't wear glasses.
    I don't have any bottles to dry.
    I don't eat eggs.
    I don't eat chips or anything from a bag.
    I don't drink from cans.
    I drink Cubano coffee at home out of a nice small espresso mug like a civilized monkey.
    I don't have cables i need to roll and unroll.
    I make nice live edge oak coasters from 'cookie' cuts of logs. Probably have a hundred of them, in a box somewhere idk i never use them, i don't have cold drinks or surfaces that could be damaged by them, or guests since i live in a turtle in the sky and nobody climbs a 7000' mountain to visit a weirdo in a weird little turtle shaped hobbit house.
    Don't get me wrong, 3d printing is hella useful, i make all kinds of stuff but almost none of it is anything i ever find on any website. I'm always making replacement parts for stuff, like i fixed several broken tripods by modeling replacement head pieces, i make guides, tools, and templates of all sorts, and i make and sell locally branded keychains and earrings to tourists where i live when i have the time. But never, do i ever find stuff online that is useful AND designed properly. I just downloaded and printed a chisel and plane sharpening guide because i was lazy about modeling one. Well, surprise! The mouth is too shallow to hold any of my chisels, it bends and goes all crooked when you tighten it and is almost impossible to get a blade mounted straight in it. But it's got a bunch of likes lol.
    Right now i'm designing a minimal modular 3d printed rc airplane parts system that works like 'Legos', you print out as many small building blocks as you need and can put them together in all sorts of configurations and sizes.

    Most of the food based (toothbrush) I wouldn't use. Knowing what we know about how PLA is not food safe, I don't think it is worth the risk.

    I never got the nameplate to work. Tried multiple times from the website and never realized it could be downloaded… 🤦‍♂️
