Guys, training videos are not needed for this, when you go in for the first day, ask so many questions that you can hear the frustration of the managers voice, they may seem aggravated, but they're happy you're asking questions. Also, every register is different
Thanks, today my first day and I had a cranky lady, on top of a no show, so she had to do a lot and I couldn't ask questions that much, tomorrow is Saturday (less busy) so hopefully that will be different lol
I'd rather know at least most of the information right away beforehand than risk pissing off my manager by asking too many questions and have them say, "Whatever. Obviously there's no hope for you. You're fired. Your generation is stupid. I can't believe you can't use something you've never used in your life before today and haven't magically figured out every function completely!" A lot of them hate explaining anything to people and act like it's the end of the world if you dare ask for help. Teachers and parents are the same way, so I've pretty much learned to try to learn some things beforehand, in case they're impatient or rude.
They don’t want to hire you without experience. Trust me. It’s been a problem for me since I turned 18 and I’m 32. It’s ridiculous because they don’t want to train you and don’t care that you need a job.
That’s a nightmare I work on little Caesars and all the food items are categorized and if they pay with cash you just put the amount in and it tells you exactly what bills and coins to give back😂😂
Started working at dollar general recently. Manager told me to get some fake money to practice with. But after practicing a bit I seem to be doing fine counting it and everything. The problem is when the customer is rushing me and pressuring me to go fast. She had me check someone out the other day who did just that and I kept messing up with counting the money. So after practicing I’m realizing it’s not a me problem it’s just pressure to go really fast

.........she paid with a ten...there is a trick they don't teach you at school, its a fast way to count the change. So he didn't actually have 10 bucks, he was counting up to it.
Does it tell you how much the total is all together when paying wit cash ? Cause I jus started at Amc but used to work at cinemark and there’s a lot of different stuff for both jobs
Ali khalaf Fire gaming He didn't give 10 back he counted up from the amount the customer owed and counted up from there, which is not 10 in his hand since he started counting up with the number 3 and not the number 1. it was only 8 and some change he counted. you should notice he added change to make the total amount the customer owed an even amount (count change first to make the owed left over change an even dollar amount) then he counted up from that number to 10 to make sure it was the correct amount. I do this all the time.
