"I was wondering how I was going to carry all of this to my car"....hmmm, idk, maybe in that shopping cart you used to push the shit around in the first place?
I'd walk off to my break too! Lol. Managers don't care if you've been standing in the same spot for 4 hours with no break. This is comedic gold to people who really know how things work at these stores.
+FastZebra Zoom At our Goodwill we do not just stand at our register. When there are no customers at the registers we are usually taking care of clothing or picking up after customers that drop things on the floor and don't bother picking it up. We also have to check the fitting rooms and clean those out and take care of the clothes that people didn't want and also take care of the items behind the register that people didn't want and also take care of returns. We cannot just go take our break whenever we feel like it. We have to make sure there is one other person on the sales floor before we take our breaks
+kubotaman85 Well if you noticed, there were people in line in this video. And that's the problem because you're forgetting that things get busy and clerks need their breaks because there will be a lot of standing. Managers don't care to relieve them in two hour increments (like they're supposed to) because all they care about is having a warm body standing there to push the buttons. it's the manager's job to make sure breaks happen on time and it's their job to juggle it and make it happen. Too many times managers just drop the ball and only send people on break when it's convenient for the store and that's wrong. And it's cruel. They call it a "break" for a reason. People need them.
+kubotaman85 No I don't. You're implying that a worker has free time to tend to other things in the store when there are no customers in line. Correct? In this video there is no such scenario. Correct? Now re-read what I wrote and it will make sense. This video does not address, but should address, what happens to a clerk when the line is long. That's why it's so funny and I admire the girl for just walking off and taking her break. Because in reality the managers don't care that clerks stand on their feet waaaay past their proper break time.
As someone that actually worked at a Goodwill lots of people do. BUT you need to ask them if they want assistance. Usually ask when it's a lot of glass or furniture
@@woahdizzy don't do it, if you can do try to get a job stocking shelves or something, yes it is more physical than cashier but you still get to move around more and not deal with rude entitled customers nearly as much as cashier, plus you're more likely to get to work day shifts than night shifts as something else other than cashier and overall cashiering is boring AF dealing with annoying and rude customers constantly and looking at a clock the entire day.

cowboyz 4life That's funny, because the cashier's attitude communicates that she thinks she is above the customer, the job and the company. It's as if she is expecting a thank you just for showing up to work.
I thought the customer was pretty nice, she just looked at her watch, she didn't make any snippy comments or anything.. the cashier was looking away from her, anyway.
Bull. Her attitude was what was wrong. And plus she lied about the return policy. You can't just return whenever you want. You have a certain time limit. Plus at the end when she went to break was uncalled for. If it's your break time, you wait for someone to take over for you. If it's your break time and it takes a long time, you call over a manager. I do this all the time. If I don't know the information, I'll offer to call a manager over. If the customer wants me to, I'll call them over so they can get the right information. Yes, not every customer in the right, but this one cashier out of probably a hundred will probably not last in her job if this was real and not acting.
I honestly don't expect good service at places like that. Each and every time I walk into Kmart or some other place like that, those employees are terrible. If the phone rings while you're busy, ignore it, or if you have to answer it, just say "Hi, let me call you back, I'm with a customer right now." If the customer is paying with a card they need to sign for, check the signatures match. If you're not sure they do, call a supervisor and explain to the customer what is happening. I hate shopping..Most shops are staffed with useless, unhelpful staff. The recession has been great.!! It has been a real kick up the backside for shops to give better service or go out of business..!! GOOD..!! Im glad to say that supermarkets here have started delivering so you can sit at home, see what you need, click a few buttons, and for a few pounds have the whole lot delivered..no need to even go in the dam shops anymore and put up with car parks, old people in the way, or shop staff..!!
The customer can look at their watch all they want. The real question is how much responsibility should employees have when they are the only cashier? She could have moved faster. Yet, their are employees who will turn their lights off before being told to. Management knows their break times but stuff changes with the amount of customers.
message to customer: if you don't like the service 1 go to the self checkout 2 go to another store 3 shop online also use credit cards and not cheques!!!!

I like the 2 one
I hate shopping..Most shops are staffed with useless, unhelpful staff. The recession has been great.!! It has been a real kick up the backside for shops to give better service or go out of business..!! GOOD..!! Im glad to say that supermarkets here have started delivering so you can sit at home, see what you need, click a few buttons, and for a few pounds have the whole lot delivered..no need to even go in the dam shops anymore and put up with car parks, old people in the way, or shop staff..!!
can you tell me the name of the software they're using
The customer can look at their watch all they want. The real question is how much responsibility should employees have when they are the only cashier? She could have moved faster. Yet, their are employees who will turn their lights off before being told to. Management knows their break times but stuff changes with the amount of customers.
well don't expect too much from casher , they don't get enough paid extra job to say something make customers happy ..
message to customer: if you don't like the service 1 go to the self checkout 2 go to another store 3 shop online also use credit cards and not cheques!!!!
I swear when the Asian chick picks up the phone she says “Hello Google”
3:18 I'm not folding your clothes excuse you LMAO
This cashed is fun
1:33 oh it’s been 2 fucking seconds
I like the first one better
Why doesn't the second cashier who supposedly "exceeded expectation" don't even have eye contact with the customer when she talks to her and she's not even smiling and saying goodbye properly...that is not very good customer service at all.
they must got some personal beef going on
This was so funny
I like how she gave the first girl a check so it was a waste of time
1st lady left her stuff in the bag lol
Thank
I'm not great with money either and I had an interview with not goodwill but another store, I'm afraid I'm gonna go too slow and they'll fire me : P
I LIKE GOOD WILL...THEY ALWAYS BUSY AND I ALWAYS NEVER PAY
Goodwill is a great store for savings except the one on Shiloh and beltline in Garland Texas terrible people work there .
The goodwill here doesnt have snacks at all
that girl from the first section should help carry the stuff to the car
The first cashier ws cool lol
OMG! that first lady was rude! the second one was really nice.
Jesy Lu the first customer forgot her bag
My second boss will love first customer service person because all workers he love to roster with are his relatives and friends. Whoever works hard , but whoever is not his friend, he hate and use lots of body language to bully.
She doesn’t make conversation with costumers and she eats while assisting costumers 😂😂😂😂
if your gonna make a training video atleast spell scene 2 properly not scence 2 😂😂😂
This is the weirdest most awkward training video I have ever seen
