I loved the tour and seeing the prices. Looking at the Satsuki it appears your prices are at least double what we would pay at Greenwoods Bonsai Nursery. I think he had quite a few substantially bigger and better defined ones at around the £80 mark. But the Junipers may be the same (ish). I loved the sticky wattle - definitely brings back some camping memories.
Legend Pauly, live visiting Binsai South too, have got a few swamp cypress pre bonsais and JPB from him last year, they’re in the ground and thriving now. Always pick up a pot or two there too, great vid mate
Great video. I would have liked a slower walk through, with a lot more of the pricing shown. I love the acacia howittii (prostrate form) and the swamp cypress. I saw a swamp cypress as you walked through and would love to know the price!! Because I'm nearly 70, and will not live to see any "starters" or cuttings amount to anything, I now only buy reasonably advanced bonsai, purely for the enjoyment of looking at them in my garden. (Trouble is, I still can't resist putting cuttings in when I trim or restyle a tree) I have quite a few I've done myself from the 90s/00s, and many, many less advanced. I travel a fair bit, so I will make it a point to visit this nursery when I'm next in Sydney, always a pleasant way to spend a couple of hours. 🙂
Its great to see what trees are like coming from someone with much experience. I was chatting to Leong one day and I think he said more than 40 years... prob longer actually.
Whoah! Can’t believe all those refined ones black pines sold. $7500 most of them were. He told me a while back that a seller in Melbourne wanted them all. I was also told there was controversy some years back as Thorn (now deceased) was buying pines there and on selling the to rich businessmen in the eastern suburbs for $15k.
Gee what an awesome place to buy bonsai’s I’m assuming Junipers are easiest to grow given the huge range? You’ve got massive hands so they’re decent sized bonsai. I thought to size a trunk you put your hand around and hold it for comparison? 🤣🤣
Hey Paul, to be honest not that many. I know a few guys that are into them but not many in this area. I will give you a link to see an awesome one in my mates collection.

Thanks Xavier, did you see the Mugo? Interesting to compare prices around the globe!
@@thetreestyler That was a proper size Mugo😉
@@XaviersBonsaiRetreat sure was. Plenty of tree there!
Everything costs more here in Australia. Everything.

Apologies for the quickness of the video. I may go back and do a price focus only of the trees. And yes well worth a visit.
Love that place mate

That’s a unreal bonsai nursery! Nothing like that in Brisbane that I know off :(
I thought you would have plenty up there. Great climate!
Yeah you would think so hey! Best place to see bonsais is at the botanical gardens as displays only.
@@harrybowes9617 Thats a shame mate, we have a few in sydney but still would take a whole day or two to visit them all.
