Hi Dan, our '66 M670 Super has the same bends in the hydraulic lines as yours does. I have not seen a crankshaft being ground before, so I'm looking forward to that!
Just a thought , but if the crankshaft roller bearing is an interference fit / press in fit , then you could damage the bearing if you where to remove it , maybe you should look at cleaning the bearing in place , you are a busy man Dan 🤔
Really good video Dan, I'm excited to see the crank being turned. Is the ZA clutch the same as fitted on the ZTU? I'm also real pleased that you're filming your dad's M670 clutch replacement, I enjoy seeing you work on MM tractors. Best wishes. Peter 🇬🇧🚜
Dan, I hope you are able to record turning the crankshaft. I don’t think many people have seen that operation. My brother has been an engine rebuilder for 45 years and I have enjoyed watching him turn many crankshafts as well as other machine work. It’s amazing what a talented engine rebuilder can do. It’s become very rare to find a good one. Very enjoyable video Dan. Thanks
I would spend some time working on that kerosene heater but I am not as resistant to the cold as you. It was 73° here today but a cold front is coming through tonight .
The worst part about the ball bearing main bearing on the Z series is if they have small indents in them from the ball bearings from sitting many years. If you don't feel any when turning it, it should be ok. If there are indents or any uneven spots, it will growl when you run it.
😊😊 HI DAN U might well put a new clutch pressure plate throw bearing and a pilot bearing in while U have the tractor 🚜 😊 and part do all at 1 time 🕜 😊 and be done ✔️ 😊 W it that U know irs all brand new 😊😊 OMG 12 17 2O24
Happy retirement Derek!
I always thought splitting a tractor was a huge undertaking. One I don't dare attempt. You make it look doable with the things I have.

That would be great if you can video the crank grinding

watching the crank get some work would be neat to see.
