I feel for you so bad, I’m 22 and don’t drive and do not know how. It terrifies me. I live on my own and was walking to work before I moved and I just moved apartments in the same complex, so still only takes me 10 minutes but if I ever wanted another job I’d need to learn but I’m broke and in reality will save for YEARS before I can afford a car to drive (-: love this life!

U can get a cheap used car it doesn’t have to be new
i had a driving phobia for yearsss. i highly recommend taking a defensive driving course! i took one a few months ago, and i've been watching safe driving academy's videos and i've learned a lot and avoided many accidents (other people) since. as long as you assume that everyone on the road is an idiot and drive defensively, it's a lot less scary. most people aren't intentionally malicious. they're just mad dumb. best of luck!

I am 25 and have had my license for 6 years and the anxiety with driving is not much better. It sucks when other people don’t understand this particular anxiety or fear but you really summed it up.
Happy for you! I know how amazing it feels to finally get your first place.. totally go me in my feels reminding me of when my boyfriend and I sporadically moved out when we were 18 lol defently awesome to look back where you started and where you are now (:
for the driving thing, take it REALLY slow. Get comfortable driving in neighborhoods first and then move onto backroads that people don’t take, or roads where the speed limit doesn’t go over 45. Drive to places really close and that you’re familiar with. The most important thing is developing trust in yourself when it comes to driving.

Girl we're literally the same 😂 I'm terrified of getting my license. I've been driving for a little bit now and I'm okay with driving but I get so nervous about thinking about going to the DMV and getting my license. I failed the first time and I've been studying my ass off I'm going to pass this time. Here's some advice STUDY STUDY STUDY that driver's hand book please 😂 also congrats on the apartment my boyfriend and I are going to move out soon and we're looking at all kinds of options.

I am the same way with getting my license. I am 21 and I have my learners but I am too scared (for the same exact reasons you have) to drive. Just thinking about me driving gives me so much anxiety. This makes me feel better know I am not the only one. I hope we can encourage each other

Awww dark vador lol he’s a cutie….I’m sad my dog Qween is a cockerpoo n she got a cousin name Blanco snow a few months after I got her n my sister has to give him back to the shelter bc my nephew is allergic to all dog types n he’s been in the er 3 times since he got him in august 😢 he goes back tomorrow 💔 I tried asking my complex can I take him but u can only have one dog so I can’t keep him n he’s already attached to our whole family 🥺

Honestly you don’t even need to drive. I would get your license so you at least have it but you don’t need to use it often. i’m 29 and i have my license but i don’t drive to save money and i just ride my bike everywhere. It’s better for your health, environment, and your wallet. Society makes it seem like you have to drive but if you live near most things you need, you can just ride a bike with a front/rear basket and use panniers. If something is far just rent a car, use public transit, or get an uber/ride. Also, cars are not a good investment since they are a depreciating asset, so it’s better not to own one.
