I don't drink either. The "loss of control" when I start to feel buzzed triggers a panic attack. And I think panic attacks feel worse when I'm intoxicated to be honest. It really messes up my tummy too. I have ulcerative colitis and even a single drink will flare it up.

Im also on lexapro and have been for almost 4 years now and I have never had experience with breakouts while on it, I think you’re on the right track with the detoxing theory. That’s currently happening to me right now, I just started eating healthier and more whole foods and I just noticed two pimples starting up on my chin

I’ve been taking antidepressants since high school and I’ve had acne, but I’m pretty sure it’s hormonal, not due to the antidepressants. I think you’re right about your skin purging because of the changes to your diet.
The hero cosmetics pimple patches are awesome for big, painful pimples! I use them all the time and they really decrease the inflammation and speed up the healing process.

I promise you the bath tray is WORTH IT! So so so amazing for candles, Netflix on the computer, books, drinks, anything! I use it so much!
Have you tried pimple patches? You mentioned the clear liquid coming out. They may absorb the oil and reduce the size, pain too! If you try them hope it helps. You are beautiful regardless, it would bother me all day too though!

BTW, when you first start taking antidepressants, etc, you can get symptoms that go away, as well as some that don't.
Also, please don't drink. Alcohol is a sedative. You csn end up extremely sleepy, having an ER level panic attack or slowing your pulse so much you die in your sleep. Please don't risk it. We love you. My psyc warned me about this.

i just got on lexapro. i am not breaking out thankfully, but i’m vegan and try to eat healthy/hydrate/not touch my skin so my skin is generally pretty good. i also have a satin pillowcase! sleep is super important.

my skin personally cleared up when i started eating less grains, nuts, seeds and completely cut out seed oils (aka soybean oil, canola oil, rapeseed oil, sunflower oil...) and i started eating more eggs, fish, meat and especially beef liver as it has a bunch of retinol which is GREAT for the skin.

When I first started lexapro I did notice a little break outs . And if you suddenly stop taking it, which I don’t recommend, your face will break out very bad. I tried a while back and it was not good. Just letting you know :) but I’m 39 a little older than you lol. But try to keep taking it . It does get better. :)
