I've been into Kpop since 2009. I'm a SM stan, I'm not a Shawol, but I have a lot of respect for them since we are part of the same company and family.
Even If I'm not a Shawol, I'm a human and this situation it's so difficult for all the Kpop community.
Taeyeon and EXO are my life, and both used to be really close with Jonghyun and SHINee members.
Since they are broken, I'm completely broken too.
Sometimes the strongest people in the morning are the ones who cried all night.
If you see someone sad, tired or weird, talk to them, you can make a big difference, even if you don't believe it.

And you know what the worst thing is? My birthday was on the 17th... on the 18th I woke up so happy because I had such a fun birthday with my family and as part of my normal routine, I went on twitter and saw that Jonghyun was trending and was excited because I thought he was either having a comeback or he just received a big award, imagine my horror when I saw the news... someone so amazing and great should not have had to go through that alone. I researched more thoroughly and found out he actually put everything into place before doing what he did... it still did not take away from the heartbreak and hopelessness I felt. Wherever Jonghyun is right now, I hope with all my heart and soul that he is happier and finally at peace with himself.
My birthday is the 19th...i saw the news on the 18th,didn't want to believe what i saw, so i researched thoroughly thinking maybe it's a fake news. Unfortunately it wasn't. Cried my heart out that night. Celebrated my birthday the following day with puffy and bloodshot eyes, and a heavy heart.
I had a similar experience. Because of time difference and since mobile is banned in my college I was unaware of it till the evening. The entire day I was having a blast with my friends preparing for the Christmas celebrations. And once I got home and picked up the phone and went to you tube. The screen opened to a thumbnail I wish never happened. I remember staring at it for a long time not having the courage to open it. My mind was trying to give explanations of how it could be a terrible fake news that went overboard. But then I saw SM channels official post.
For sometime I couldn't cry at all. But there was intense pain coming out of nowhere.
Nobody in my circle knew of Kpop or shinee. So I was alone. Christmas came and went but the pain never did. It took years to come in terms with it. Now I eagerly watch every content of his either tearing up or smiling. But I am determined to celebrate the fact that He Existed💠
For An outsider this would look like an exaggeration cause for them he was just another celebrity someone with you have no direct connection with, somebody who lived in an entire different world than ours.
But how to make them understand how much he mattered and why. How He had given so much comfort to the world and had to give up because he couldn't find the comfort he deserved. That was the heartbreaking irony. And it kills me every time I think of him.

If only someone would notice.. watching Jonghyun's videos while dancing,smiling,laughing and singing its so sad.. Knowing those are the only moments and there won't be anything else. This scares me, that he was so depressed he'd choose to take his life. Guys, please. He didn't deserve this. Not at all. If you ever feel down, go talk to someone. Don't bottle it up and don't go to the crappy psychiatrist who won't give you proper advice. Talk to someone who you know and trust. Jonghyun was a good soul who was never told the right thing, who never realized how much love people held for him.

It really breaks my heart because I'm a SM STAN since 2015 only and also that year that I've known SHINEE. And I realized this days I'm not in a mood to dance in KPOP songs also after Jonghyun was declared death there isn't a day that I'm not crying. I'm always praying for that news is fake but when SM states the news I began crying and I regretted it because I didn't know that our Jonghyun is battling with a severe depression and I stated it to myself that I should've known it but it was too late TT I can't start my day without crying TT. But atleast our Jonghyun can Rest In Peace now without worries.
Even though we always say that we love our idols, but who actually knows them personally deep down to their hearts?
We worshiped them, idolize them, shipped them, but rather than seeing them just as people that brings you smiles and cheers, let's all think for a moment what we could do for these idols instead.
We often see them going far beyond their abilities just to help fans get through hard times, but we took their efforts for granted. We weren't appreciative enough.
Let's do our part and reciprocate, whether it be on their twitter/instagram pages, or attending their fansigns/fanmeet, let's not view them as celebrities but as normal human beings like you and me.
Tell them, whether face-to-face or in words, that "You have worked hard all these while, thank you."
Jonghyun has always tried his best to make our day happier, easier. Though he's not with us anymore, let's continue on with his legacy by letting our faves know how much they can rely on us, that even on difficult days, they never walk alone.

But no matter what I do, or where I go, there will always be piece of my heart missing. SHINee are my #1s, no matter what. They are the ones who introduced me to the wonderful world of Kpop. when i see videos of them performing i only think of all the times the other members covered jonghyuns parts when he couldn’t attend their concerts. and it breaks my heart that he really is not here in the world to bless us with his beautiful voice and smile and personality. i am truly heartbroken about this devastating event. i has no idea it would affect me thus much but for me it had made my life feel like it is in a complete stop. it will take a long time to recover from his passing but i know he rests peacefully. we love you jonghyun and shinee. shinee forever.

I am a big SM stan too and im so so sad for SM family but my sadness is not just bc im a simple SM stan, Jonghyun has always had a special place in my heart. He is my first bias, one of my favorite people, my favorite singer, one of the reason why im still in kpop bc he made me like this. His smile was my favorite, it always made me cheer up.. I couldnt follow SHINee's schedules much when i met my bias groups RV and NCT but i've always followed his solo schedules, i respect him as an artist so much and to go to the his concert was one of my biggest dreams. He was just so special to me.. Im really so sad, i cant stop crying, i wish id knew that he was suffering all this time but its too late, i cant do anything now.. Jonghyun baby, just know that i love you so much, i will always love you and miss you, i will never forget you.. You worked really hard and im so proud of u bc of it. They were their for us when we felt low. But nobody was their for them.
I don't know why but every word he said just hit me. I'm not a shawol I'm just new to the k-pop world but this story just hurt so bad. I feel really pissed of by the haters. And for the haters reading this you should be ashamed of yourself someone died because of your immaturity. The line in his letter that hit me hard is the part were he said " But they say I should live. I asked why so may times, but it's not for me. It's for you " I think his referring to the fans. This is one of the reason why it is sad to be an idol. Once you become an idol you will wear a mask. That mask represent perfection. And sometimes you forget to be yourself anymore. If you want to remove that mask and show your imperfections some people will hate on you. This makes it harder for him his suffering from depression, Trying to look perfect in front of people, he blames himself, some people gives negative comments about him. And eventually he got tired of this cycle. He tried to reach out but people think his reason is shallow. He give hints but people didn't notice because of the mask his wearing. He wanted to live but his tired. He wanted to be happy but he can't. He tried to fight the depression but because of the fame and hate he gave up. Everyone please don't leave sad comments. Please don't ask him to come back. Please don't make him regret his decision. Please be happy that his now resting in peace and he can be happy the way he wanted. He made us happy and now let's return the favor and assure him that we're fine and he can rest in peace.

I haven’t been able to watch anyone’s tribute it’s too painful I need to be ready and prepared to watch it. Just not now.
