So I’m not opposed to this, but I think something worth noting is that at THIS stage of AI, it can’t duplicate the powerhouse voices of let’s say, Whitney or Mariah. It can’t duplicate the pain you might find in some songs. I think the problem is that what we’ve accepted as far as music these days is so lifeless and soulless and filled with autotune that AI can easily replicate that. Now maybe it will advance to that one day but you won’t get the crisp sound of Donnie Hathaway without it sounding like autotune. And even THAT said, I believe that people will still want live shows. People can lip sync, sure, but artists can still show creativity in person. At this point they barely make any money off of the actual songs anyway. If you’re smart with it, I believe it could work in your favor.
