Geeeeez every round had one disaster! Game 1 had a shocker on Lichfield, I went off down the country lane and got lost. By the time I came back and figured we were near Lichfield it was too late to pinpoint it exactly and I was a few miles off. Round five was nice as I grew up near there and recognised the dialling code for the town. Game 2 again had a disaster on the South Downs round, took ages to figure we were near Chichester and by then it was too late. However I recognised the South Wales pub because I live in Cardiff and used to work on the Vale. It only took a look around to confirm the village. Glad I got that because it seems other people struggled so it helped my leaderboard score. Round 5 I initially thought I was in Derby before remembering DY is not Derby. Once I was in the right place it wasn't hard to pinpoint the crossroads. Game 3 I didn't recognise anywhere but twice used the fingerpost signs to plonk a nice 5k. My disaster this round was Yorkshire - all these sandstone valley roads look the same and I couldn't find a place name I recognised. Eventually saw Halifax Road so plonked up there and was well wrong. A shame cos I 5k'd the other rounds.
3 terrible performances for me considering how many of the place names I recognised and zoomed in on immediately only to dither around like someone who had never heard of the UK. However, pulled some pride back with a perfect score in 25 seconds in the last round of the 3rd game. No bad for a place I've never been to!
That's my map 😅 Very much made in lockdown, and tbh quickly forgotten about! Thanks RUclips algorithm for sending this onto my homepage, and reminding me of the fun! Geoguessr needs more pub maps :)
