Imo, Narcissa's save when she lied to voldemort is still the most impressive and courageous save

Yeah I agree, she did it to find Draco as he was still alive and she would do anything to find her son. Also when Draco didn't identify Harry when the snatchers brought him to the Malfoy Manner was pretty impressive as well. He definitely knew it was Harry yet didn't say anything.
It was an impressive save cause Narcissa's ask Harry if Malfoy is alive and Harry nodded making Narcissa able to lie and say Harry is dead.

exactly, considering Voldemort knows how to use occlumency and can look through her mind if he wished, and she and her family could have been killed

After doing a quick rough tally, Hermione has the most saves with 19, followed by Dumbledore with 18. Others who have a lot include Ron with 12 and Snape with 8. These numbers aren't exact, but it just goes to show how important Harry's friends were to him.

If we see from Snape 's side , Snape is the reason for voldemort 's downfall and death.
1. If Snape hadn't evesdropped and conveyed the prophecy to voldemort , voldemort wouldn't have probably touch Harry Potter and Harry wouldn't become the chosen one , and voldemort used to continue his atrocities ...
2. If Snape didn't ask voldemort not to kill lily , Harry wouldn't get his mother's protection against voldemort.
3. Snape didn't allow quirrel to take the sorcerer's stone , delaying his return( it was Harry actually , but Snape kept protecting the stone for whole year...)
4. Snape's perfect double agent role
5. Snape giving his memories to Harry just before death.
If Snape made any flaw in any of the above , it would be very difficult for Harry to win the war.

If snape hadnt been a death eater and heard the prophecy, harry wouldve had a happy life with his parents, wouldve had a much nicer(tho far less adventurous) school time and even more friends

@@jewel8482 but if snape didnt tell about harry and his parents were alive, the main things that made voldemort lose would also be eliminated. At the end of the book, harry was immortalised against voldemort because voldemort used harry's blood to come back to physical form and therefore took on lily's sacrificial protection and anchored harry back to life when he was hit by Avada Kedavra. So in other words, harry was immortalised as long as Voldemort had harry's blood in him. If wat you're saying was the case where lily and james never died then no sacrificial protection or immortal harry against Voldemort situation.
And we dont know how good the school life would be because Voldemort would be at his prime since he wouldnt be defeated by baby harry which would mean he is a constant threat to the order anyway. And the prophecy may not take place then because Harry would not be marked as Voldemort's equal if not for him hearing the part of the prophecy about Harry being the one to defeat him.
I think it would be in Voldemort's favour tbh.

I really hope people don't take this as 'Harry is useless and he needs everyone under the sun to save him'. Harry is a pretty good wizard himself who got past Flitwick flying keys and the Basilisk
And saved himself from the demonters, also managed to fight Voldemort in the graveyard, fought off death eaters in the order of the Phoenix and more

Technically Fawkes and the Sorting Hat saved Harry from the basilisk; Fawkes by bringing the hat and tearing out the snakes eyes, no way are you killing a giant snake without being able to look at it, or with no sword which was the Sorting Hat’s contribution.

It doesn't matter how many times I watch the movies(not good with reactions when reading), Hedwig's death and Dobby's death will never have me not cry. And Nagini in Godric's Hollow will always make sure that I jump so high I hit my head in the ceiling

Molly may have been a good mum but she was an a-hole to hermione in goblet of fire. why does she trust and believe Rita Skeeter's words so easily to actually treat hermione cold until harry tells her it was a lie. The thing that makes most people who dislike her do so is how she treated hermione in this example imo.

As for bellatrix being a Hufflepuff, people often forget that Hufflepuff's have other qualities than just loyalty. Just because she was loyal to Voldemort doesn't make her a Hufflepuff. I’d like a sort of follow up talking about every time Harry rescues someone else. As Ron pointed out, he does have a saving-people thing.
Dobby saved harry’s memory. He’s the one who closed the entrance which made ron and harry use the car which made ron’s wand break which made lockhart’s spell rebound
Dumbledore saved harry’s life when he advised Hermione to use the time turner. Therefore, they saved Sirius who ended up saving harry in the order of the Phoenix
if dobby wouldn't closed the entrance, car wouldn't rescue them from acromantulas.
Hermione was literally the mvp. She was the greatest witch hogwarts had probably seen in a while. I wish a better writer than Rowling had created her bc then she would've given her a chance to innovate with magic, and push the frontiers, rather than just be good at replicating. She was studying so many branches of magic at once, and had excellent grades in all. there's no way her head wasn't making hypothesis and testing out theories all the time.
Rowling created Hermione to be an exaggeration of herself.

Actually, worm tail’s hand did not save Harry. The hand only strangled him because he decided not to kill Harry, doing that, he betrayed voldemort and the hand that was cursed sensed his betrayal and killed Worm Tail. So, Pettigrew saved Harry from his self, not the hand

I think my favorite saves on this list is definitely Harry's wand. The movies didn't emphasize the relationship he had and the love he had for his wand very much. Especially in the scene where it saved him from Voldemort as it was described in the book as moving on its own. And then in a funny and heartwarming way he returned the favor by fixing it with the Elder wand.
If this injuries in it then madam pomfrey would be the gigachad of the story

Have you realized that in the 6th movie on the train, Draco said “She’d be dead before you could wipe the drool off your chin.” And then, when we saw Lily comforting baby Harry right before she died in the Deathly Hallows Part 2, there was actually drool on Harry’s chin.

One thing I've never understood is why Harry had to live with the Dursley family. Harry had Lily's blood, and was her nearest relative, not Petunia.

Not sure if its the correct answer but harry has 50% james’ blood and 50% lily’s blood, while petunia has 50% her mothers blood and 50% her fathers blood same blood which floated in lilys vein, which means it would be more effective to live with petunia 🤔

The point is there is magical protection in blood ties otherwise Harry could just as easily lived with Sirius. And Harry is a powerful wizard. It is Harry who defeats the dark lord, Voldemort.

They thought the blood link was broken when he turned 17, that's why he was moved from Privet Drive, but he still had it

Everyone thinks that this is Harry's luck but you don't realize what Dumbledore told to Harry: "Help will be always given at Hogwarts to those who ask for it". I'm pretty damn sure, this counted for a lot of saves for Harry.
I just love that 2 wands saved Harry's life but Ollivander- who gave Luna a pin to save him from the ropes/handcuffs- doesn't get mentioned. Sad.

In the 4th book, barty crouch jr saved Harry by teaching the class on how to counteract the imperius curse, which was later in the book used by Voldemort on Harry
The funny thing about this video is that Harry is always saying that all of his survivals were just luck and that he had lots of help along the way.
Fun fact about book 1: If Harry had just stayed in his room, Voldemort would have had no chance of getting the philosopher’s stone! ;)
