    Who am I?🇬🇭
    Wode Maya.
    Ghana-baby.
    Son of the soil,
    Son of the meek,
    Son of the "Captain",
    Whose heart I seek.
    Daddy the day you died
    I almost cursed the sky.
My heart was ripped and dripping.
Days of stress, it was depressing.
Pain still lingers in my quiet moments.
Still trying to unite the Black continent.
Memories of you, Dad, I cherish.
Still a Utuber, future looking lavish.
    From abject poverty we came.
You thought me life is a game.
Play by the rules, no-one to blame.
Be kind & forget not the past.
A million subs will be a "blast".

Maya, I’m in tears….That song… maybe a lot of young people don’t know it, but you have a lot of elder people who follow you, and pray for you, that know this song…Songs like these, the old hymn of old, are surely anchors for our soul. I lost my husband of 60 years to covid a year ago I miss him, thank you for bringing this song to mind, it brought ministry to my soul… It makes us sad when our loved one departs this realm, their memories is what brings us comfort. I see your dad in you Maya… His soul went back to his origin, as he fulfilled his purpose here on this earth…Your mom have his children as an extension and continuance of him, it brings comfort to her soul, remember scripture says children are a gift from God, so she will never forget the Captain! His life may seem short, but fulfilled……May God continue to go before you, and make your path straight Maya! Much Blessings! Thanks for this video 🧓🏾💕🙏🏽🙏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

"christ" is higher consciousness, that we all, of us Humans can attain once we do the necessary work. It is an Afrikan concept that yurugu stole to create their myth of a historical person named j. christ! No such man ever existed! It is also ironic that Afrikans embrace the ideologies of the very same people who kidnapped and enslaved Their Ancestors without asking the question, how could the same people who perpetuated such heinous crimes against them and their people, be the same ones to guide you to heaven/paradise?

@@leob.venzen1153 the christ, the anointed one, one who gives careful thought to the paths of their feet. It's discipline people lack.. give the world a higher consciousness..and teaching that in truth to the spirit. They have to have the word Jesus in front of the teaching. I don't know why.

This video was hard to watch as I lost my dad 19 years ago when I was in Germany. Our dads had a mutual German friend (Mr Berthold Winkler) in Takoradi. Both were God-fearing men and a lot of what you said reminded me of my dad especially with the Mercedes Benz:) When I was in Germany I planned to get my dad a Mercedes ML at the time. Sad I couldn’t give him that. As I’m moving back to Ghana in a couple of days I wish he would be there to see his grandchildren! I’m grateful to God for keeping my mum. May the souls of our departed dads continue to rest in perfect peace! God bless you bro! Your Dad’s legacy lives on. His values lives in you!

Even when my husband(then fiancé) came to get me, my dad would tag along. And he and my mum always kept my passport till I had to travel again. Those prayers and fasting for us all has brought us thus far🙏🏾🙏🏾. May God continue to give him rest. It is a blessing to have parents who will move heaven and earth for their children.

I feel you Wode Maya, I lost my dad in February 2019 He was a reverend and he really loved God. I was very close to him and sometimes the memories are very strong. I miss his calls, his Prayer phone calls, encouragements, our chats etc But most especially when he would pray for us when we are arriving at home and when leaving and the evening fellowships etc. I laughed when you say that your father asked you to join him in singing in church, my dad loved doing this every now and then, there was this day he called us with my siblings but we had not practiced the song very well, then we started laughing we were just young kids. I miss him very much and many times I get emotional. He will always live in our hearts and memories

I miss my dad too bro. My dad died May 25th 2021. I had my dad my whole life. He always have been a good dad.Whenever I needed to talk he was always there for me and willing to listen. Not only would my dad tell me what's the right thing to do but he would also tell me what he would do. He was a wonderful person who is truly loved by everyone in his community. My dad was a proud black man and a ex black panther. My dad always wore dashikis and African pendants. I miss him very much. This is been the longest I have ever went without speaking to him for guidance. But I know that I am the man that he made and I will do well. Well you are the man that your daddy made and you are doing a great service to our African people in the world. Let us continue to be the strong capable competent man that they made us. My dear young brother… I know that ‘society’ has taught us that, ‘men don’t cry’, yet… God gave men tears, too. They were put there to ‘shed’ during times of ‘pain’ and ‘grief’ to give you a release and provide relief. Yes, you are truly a man… a human. Your Dad and my Mom both passed on the same day & month (26 April) only she passed 3 yrs. earlier in 2014. And your birthday is 1 day after mine (you - 3 March, and me - 2 March)… just thought that was interesting, as I DEEPLY miss her, too. Just know that your Dad planted many infallible seeds in you through how he lived his life, what he taught you, and how he prayed for you - with the most important of him sharing his faith. You will ALWAYS ‘miss’ the physical presence of your Dad… there’s nothing I can say to ease that heaviness… and although people may tell you that ‘time’ heals all wounds… I’ve found that time just makes things a little more tolerable. Keep doing ‘good’ things, young blood… for The Most High (TMH) is truly with you. As you told the story of always looking for ways to please/impress your Dad… continue to do that, as TMH (your spiritual Father) is being pleased. Talk to Him as you would your Dad… anytime… then be still in your spirit… and in the quiet moments you will receive your response. May the peace of The Most High that surpasses ALL understanding rest, rule, and reign upon you, now and forevermore… Know that you are well loved throughout the world, Wode Maya. Peace and blessings to you… love you much, Shalom.🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

If you understand ancestors, you know that their energy never dies. Your father’s energy still exists in another realm and his words and ways said in life, were positive for the future, for your future thoughts and ways. You do him honor by being the shining light that his hope rested on. Love is a powerful motivator!

Both my parents have answered God’s call. To keep their legacy alive, I work hard and pour my heart into my craft. My mother was a midwife and inspired me to be a maternity nurse. She helped everyone; now, I am going to give away as much maternity knowledge as possible to keep her lamp burning. Your dad is not dead, sir. He lives through you. Keep making him proud!

Wode Maya, I thank you for that song. I'm from the beautiful island of Barbados. When the young lady started singing, I heard my mom, who is now passed, singing those same words. It brought sweet tears to my eyes and vivid memories. My mom sang a more upbeat version of the song, while beating her cymbal with her church army group.

When you said “ I miss going down on my knees, his touch, because he had a spirit of God” , that’s exactly why I love my mom, her prayers, she would even pray over my clothes when I’m away, “ she has a spirit of God and I live for her prayers... I’m who I am because of her prayers and I don’t know how you are coping without your dad’s prayers . I’m sorry for your loss.

Oh my goodness! This one brought tears and made me reflect a lot this morning. I believe your dad is looking down with pride and appreciation because he raised a great man! I lost my dad 9 years ago and can relate very much, especially being "a dad pleaser." I wish my dad were here to see the person I have become, but he is not here to see and enjoy with me, which hurts- We indeed have an anchor that keeps the soul, and only the Lord can fill the void left by a loving and caring father. To all of us grieving, let's continue to keep and cherish those loving memories in our hearts. Wow! I watch most of your videos, but this one moved me to comment-my first comment- A great tribute to a great dad! God bless you abundantly and keep you and your family!

I think that is one perspective of death… We are all going to die if the Lord tarries, but it’s something that we don’t really think or focus on until it hit home or very close to home, then we are devastated! Our creator gives us all time, only we don’t know how long, so you are at a good place family…. It’s good to reflect, and be full of gratitude and thanksgiving… 🧓🏾😘💕🙏🏽

Mr. Berthold correct me if I'm wrong, you said in a pervious video that your father was all about helping people with the time
we are provided with on this earth. Since the start of your youtube journey, you have been able to provide for your Mother & Sister. In addition to inspiring Africans across the continent plus the diaspora, now that's something any father would be proud of.

There is one thing that his father would not be proud of, he is supporting the government of Ethiopia 🇪🇹 which is committing genocide on the people of Tigray, northern Ethiopia in order to make money. The government of Ethiopia is killing, starving and mass arresting the people of Tigray based on their ethnicity. #TigrayGenocide.

@@MBG-en6qr, I'm not here to debate the sides of the current Ethiopian conflict. My opinion is that the war is totally inexcusable with it's roots deeply imbedded in tribalism, as far as Wode Maya is concerned, I believe he was just trying to shine a light on the incorrect way the media was portraying the Capital City.

    • @MBG-en6qr
      @MBG-en6qr 2 года назад

@@glennpeterson2477 I understand but the city he was trying to portray as peaceful is a hell on earth for people from Tigray. There are lots of temporary detention centers and concentration camps full of people from Tigray arrested because of their ethnicity. In this same city there are lots of people lost their jobs and have their businesses closed because of their ethnicity. There are lots of complicated political issues Mr Berthold doesn’t know he is doing it just for money. I would stay in my lane if I were him.

I have never ever comment on any thing I watch on social media, but I couldn't resist on this particular show of yours. I lost my husband of twenty years through covid , he was a health care worker and contracted as he was saving those affected. I feel like I would one day look back as your Mum has done raising the three boys he left behind into prominent people in society as you have become. Thanks very much for your strength.

Wow. I don't even know what to say because I understand perfectly well how you feel without your dad around you even though my parents are still alive but very old in Nigeria and I live in the UK. I will not go into details of my story but can tell you that just about 3 weeks go I was listening to some music and I stred crying because I was unable to look after my parents particularly my dad as mush as I would have love to be able to. Mind you, I am in my 50ties and a British so not having my papers is not the reason why I have not been able to see and look after my very lovely parents as much as I would have love to.
