I went to the Back In Black Tour, whatever year it was? 81? 82? To this day it's still the loudest show I'ver ever been to and still the high water mark for me for rock tone. and excites me as much today as the 1st day I bought it. Anyhow, as a 6 month old FM3 newbie I can't wait to tweak this up tomorrow., I'm still messing around with it making up patches at home, 58 years of playing with amps is a slight adjustment ha. One thing I don't understand is why you have an Out 1 and Out 2, what are you using live on the stage? an FRFR?
Oh HELL YEAH! I'm sure that was a legendary show on every front \m/ I wasn't around yet...but I can only imagine! Excellent question! Output 1 I send to FoH, & Output 2 I send either to an FRFR wedge or to my Orange Pedal Baby 100 to power a live cab*. *Normally, I'd have it going after the Cab block to not double up on the IR/Cab EQing, but for this particular preset set I rather like it with my 4x12 Mesa/Boogie with Celestion V30s...as inauthentic as the name on the front may be ^_^ I hope you enjoy these tweaks & get that rockin' tone you're after! Once it's dialed in, it feels soooooo good to turn the volume knob up from 8 to 10 & just rip Angus licks. Happy tweaking day tomorrow!
@@guitarguru186 Oh I elbowed my way as usual up to the front the stage. I still do ha. I'm 63, but 18 till I die. So you don't just run an XLR Out 1 of unit into a D.I to FOH ? I'm a ways away yet before I attempt it on stage, or invest into an FRFR or IE's yet, especially when nobody else in the band uses them. But severe ear damage and tinnitus has gotten to a point that it's a challenge to be safe and at home on stage as I would with an amp, and I do love to rip! Thanks for the tips for your settings. And as we all know with any of our guitar gods, 99% is in their fingers. Doesn't stop us from going down the rabbit hole's does it lol,.
All in the fingers is right! 🤘🏻 Output 1 is an XLR straight to FoH Output 2 is either an instrument cable to the power amp, or a 1/4”-to-XLR adapter to get to the XLR of my FRFR.
@@guitarguru186 Dialed in your SLP and it sounds awesome, only thing I do is change to DC power type (sounds better to my ears) on the all my amps Power Supply (no pun intended) and I also stay with same cabs (4x12 Rumble EV12L and EV12S) for all I make in the event I play live again so the FOH isn't riding eq for different cab tones. Thanks again!
Fascinating about the power type! I’ll have to give that a go 📝 Solid move on the constant IR tactic! Really comes in useful in a live setting if/when cycling multiple presets.
Cool video. I went through all the steps with you and it really does sound great. Thanks, mate.
Right on! I’m so glad it helped ^_^
Now turn it up & rip the paint off your neighbors’ house 😆🤘🏻
