This is the best romantic comedy i've seen in a loooong time!!!!! I honestly thought the genre is dead and i will never see another good romantic comedy but this film changed my mind and exceeded all of my expectations!!!! I am so grateful to all the people who worked on this film. Everything was perfect: the cast, the story, the music! Ahh! It was an amazing experience! I highly recommend it to all of the romcom lovers!
Very very well done movie. I was expecting cliche done in cliche style but they did clichés brilliantly. One of my favs. Jenny slate is so beautiful ❤
Let me guess: in the end, they realize they're in love with one another, leave their exes alone & everyone lives happily ever after.
Don't forget that their exes realized they made a mistake first.
Yea... But it's the journey and how they got there that can be exciting. Otherwise "Based on a true story" movies would be boring. Titanic, Tombstone, Right Stuff, American Sniper, Apollo 13, and so so many more would be ignored.

Honestly one of my new favorite romcoms. It was funny and adorable and the cast was charming AF.

Same! I've been saying that forever, CD is the guy to carry the Rick Moranis torch, and people always thought it was ridiculous. I thought that was Audrey for half a second... If what's her face from Parks can sing (she has the nose for it, she might be able to pull it off), and they do Suddenly Seymore, that alone makes the movie a win.

This reminds me of Addicted to love with Meg Ryan and Matthew Broderick, so it will end in two ways: 1) they realize they love each other and will leave their exes alone or 2) they will fall in love with the other’s ex’s new flame. But since it looks like a reboot of Addicted to love I assume it will end in the first way

Welp, I know what I'm watchin' on Valentine's Day! I am so glad this is a movie and not a series. I am also elated that it's rated R. I cannot remember the last time I saw a rated R movie that was romantic themed instead of scary, vulgar language or something weird.
I watched it! This was a really good romcom! I haven't seen one in a long time that was actually funny. I enjoyed this movie from beginning to end.

I watched it only because Scott was on Ellen and I loved his dad. But really it was Jenny slate who captured our hearts with her comedy and she reminds me of the late great Gilda Radner. Sln you need to have Jenny play Gilda. She’s very funny.
I just watched this movie last night. I don't like most romantic comedies anymore because they're really poorly made. The romantic leads are too beautiful to be relatable. And because they're beautiful their characters are never fully developed. They make the characters neurotic in an attempt to make them relatable. And they always make their exes passive aggressive and mean and superficial. Characters that are just a little too easy to hate. But this movie I really enjoyed. The two leads were funny and charming and real. The characters had enough self-awareness to recognize that they were in a rut. But they weren't going out and acting self-destructive. They were actually trying to be better versions of themselves. It's definitely not breaking new ground in the realm of romantic comedies. But it was still done right. Charming, funny & sweet.

in malaysia we also got this one movie titled Sejoli, the storyline was pretty similar to this one. about 2 ppl that just got dump n plan a mission to foil their exes relationship. and the movie was very fun to watch. just like this one
